[he's just biking along, in Genessia at the moment, though he plans to hit everywhere eventually. Hooked to his bike is an ice cream cooler and a cheery little tune follows him]

It looks like school is out for the Summer. Time for rest and relaxation. [a sigh] The problem with too much free time is not having enough things to fill it. It makes me miss paperwork.

[he stops as he's swamped by a bunch of kids and doles out ice cream accordingly]

Does anyone have plans? Challenges? Something interesting to do? [he's a bit restless these days and he doesn't know why] Should I buy a houseboat? [he misses the sea. Though it's not like he can afford one] Mah... maybe the bike is fine.

If you're not interested, it's alright. [Rosinante looks away for a moment, he's nervous. It's fine to play and jokingly flirt, but actually trying to initiate something? Not so easy.] But I think maybe we could benefit from a little time together. [How does he even do this. What are feelings. What is flirting.

Deep breath, deep breath.] I'll get some drinks and food, and we could just get away for a while. Sleep and eat and enjoy each other.

Let me pay for some of it. [he makes more than you do. It doesn't feel right otherwise. Almost like taking advantage.

He's not thinking too much on what Rosinante means by enjoy each other, but that will come when they get to it]

Oh gods, why did he even think that anyone would be interested in him? What if he wasn't being flirted with? What if he's mistaking everything? ] Ah... If you want to, that's fine. It's beautiful though, I think you'll enjoy yourself out on the water. [Rosinante isn't even thinking along those lines. He wants to make the other man happy, he's genuinely fond of him, and this is something that he can do for him. He also has no idea that it was partially a joke, or he'd feel foolish for planning this out.

He meant company! He's still at the point where he can't imagine someone wanting to kiss him, much less more than that.] What should I get?

Ah...yes... [he usually does. But...

As for what to get... he has no idea. Dates for him usually involved going out somewhere or her cooking for him without much input. Though he generally tried not to stay that long]

What date should I reserve the houseboat for?

[Rosinante knows this is an ambitious first date. But it's not like they're kids, and they don't need to pretend that they're shy or nervous around each other. What happens, happens. They might as well move at a pace that feels good instead of a pace that some random rules set for them.

Not that Rosinante knows much about any of this. He wasn't a particularly sought after man, even as a captain. And while Doffy tried arranging partners for him, he never took part in anything like that. And he's entirely out of his element.] I'll get beer and snacks, and I'll make some food that's easy to reheat.

July sometime. The 15th. [a date off the top of his head, but the key was to sound confident]

Ahh sounds good. Also some futons. [just in case. He doesn't know what the napping conditions will be on the houseboat for humans that are not shrimp sized but probably nothing]

That's not a weekend. Do you want it anyway? I guess you won't have to worry about work during the week at that point.

I'll take care of it. [The houseboat he's looking at is generously sized, but he's still not expecting it to be really fitted for people of their heights. So they'll have to make do in the end.]

It's fine. It works. ....Just don't strain yourself.

[and now he will just have to focus on not looking at him oddly the next few...however long]

After a couple of minutes, Rosinante responds again.] It's reserved!

Great. [and...then...how to proceed...?] Until...then? [but then he'll probably be seeing Rosinante in person in the next few hours... So probably best not to dwell on it]

Until then. [Rosinante gives one of his sweetest smiles, he's really looking forward to this, and ends the video. He figures he'll see him later anyway, so unless there's something else to be dealt with he'll just talk to him at home at some point.]
