[A caped man appears on the video. His outfit is bold and bright, all gold and red and lit up from within. He speaks with a sense of urgency as if of an imminent danger.]

I want you all to listen to me. I am Mysterio, one of The Avengers.

There appears to have been a rip in time and space and I have found myself unexpectedly dropped into your world.

But I cannot stay here. I need to go back and save the Earth. This is imperative. Anyone, if you can hear me, show me the way or portal to leave this world. The sooner I can leave, the more lives can be saved.

It's easy to feel that way, and fall into that trap. I won't lie--I've been guilty of it a bit myself, just because this life here is better than much of what I've dealt with. But my own personal situation is also a bit unique, and believe me--I am plenty capable of brooding and guilting myself.

Just means I need to get back to trying to help solve the mysteries we can. And we have far too many of them, sadly. Too many questions, and not enough ways to figure out how to find answers yet. A lot of people who were involved, also are gone now--so it's trying to figure out just who knows what, who knew what and where it is, and if it's written down.

[Trunks spreads his hands, and his smile is sympathetic.]

I wish I had better news, or answers for you. I am not telling you anything I didn't tell my own Father and Mother when they were here though--and that was NOT an easy task to do.

Your parents were here and then left - or sent away?

And other people who have investigated this place and any mysteries have also vanished?

Maybe somebody doesn't want their secrets to be revealed.

It's a bit complicated--my mother was here, along with an old family friend of ours, and others from their world, when I got here. Father showed up later, then vanished, then showed up again with no memory of being here before and from a different point in time from his prior time, and then both he and my Mother vanished.

And no, I agree with you--but we also don't have enough information to fully draw that conclusion. For now the most likely reason is that they've vanished rather than were purposefully sent away because they got to close. We need to keep it all in mind, but not assume causality without more proof.

[Spoken like a scientist's son there.]

Believe me when I say I understand your urgency and worry. I'm very used to being the only one left who can fight or help people, and then being unable to do so.

Trunks, was it? It sounds like you've been dealing with this odd circumstance here for a long time. I believe I can adapt but that doesn't mean I'm going to just be complacent. If an opportunity arises, then I will fight or find a way out, for all of us.

[Instantly heroic words.]

[There's a shrug, as Trunks is trying to not bristle too hard. Yes, he has been 'complacent' in ways, but no more or less than a lot of others here. It also doesn't mean he's not been fighting when he can. The finding a way out has been...harder.]

I've been here a little over a year, honestly. Others have been here longer. Ask Rose, from Torchwood. The opportunities have been few from what I've seen, but if you find one, call me.

[He's trying hard not to let bitterness show here. If only because Mysterio has unknowingly also touched on something that Trunks had clashed over Vegeta with too. Vegeta had been none-to-eager to settle here either, but if their MOTHER hadn't found a way, Trunks knew it couldn't been easy.]

Anything else I can help you with? Things seem calm enough now I should really take stock of what's in my notebook and start trying to compile information others found as well. Start trying to find the patterns, and working towards figuring it all out again.

[Logically, Trunks knows that. Just ghosts and emotions, and his life has never been simple.]

Those are the biggest reasons why we all have to be careful, yes. Rose Tyler right? She heads Torchwood 2.0, and is one of my closest friends here. I worked for her as a part-timer before ending up taking over my mother's company when she vanished.

Maybe you'll have better luck than the rest of us.
