[A caped man appears on the video. His outfit is bold and bright, all gold and red and lit up from within. He speaks with a sense of urgency as if of an imminent danger.]

I want you all to listen to me. I am Mysterio, one of The Avengers.

There appears to have been a rip in time and space and I have found myself unexpectedly dropped into your world.

But I cannot stay here. I need to go back and save the Earth. This is imperative. Anyone, if you can hear me, show me the way or portal to leave this world. The sooner I can leave, the more lives can be saved.

[ See this confused looking bloke staring at you, fancy-suit? That's none other than Bastien, everyone's less than favorite pirate. He's a troublemaker around these parts usually but as of late, he's been keeping his thieving paws to himself lately. Still, he can't help but look a tad confused by all this hubbub. First off, what is with that outfit?! Did the man fall in some glitter or something? Second, who the heck are the Avengers? The pirate doesn't have the foggiest idea. ]

[Bastien gets a look - one of someone who is going to try to be respectful yet also is a little irritated. His voice remains measured, almost like he's talking to a child.]

No. I am not.

I need to get back to Earth-616 before it is destroyed.

[Bastien eyes widen a little but there's no familiarity to be found. If anything, the pirate looks even more confused now.]

You must be a new arrival of some kind. [He mutters more to himself than to the fancy gent on screen.] That or you're raving mad but I doubt that's the case.

Unfortunately, I got some bad news for ya. There's no getting out of here.

I'm not sure if it's a matter of ripping time and space, or I think I'd have felt something out of place. It seems to be more like a door that some force is willingly opening and closing.

[Uai pauses. This person seems quite desperate get home. Sensitivity isn't exactly his forte anymore, but Uai does at least try to dig deep and find some tact.]

Your Earth isn't going anywhere until you get home. So calm down.

[While he recognizes the look of a determined face, Uai doesn't lighten his own demeanor considerably. Rather, he's focused on fighting his own insensitive curiosity.]

'Your' Earth? So you travel between timelines, or universes? [As soon as he asks his question, Uai realizes he's being selfishly curious. So he shakes his head to brush the question off.]

Whatever. Your Earth, that Earth, whatever it is. Seems to be on pause once you get here.

Wherever you were last, it will be as if you've never left.

This happens often. People are taken from different worlds and times without altering anything.

I have confirmed this with friends and family from my home, and witnessed similar things with the friends I made here.

That's ... reassuring.

People come and go in a way that seems random. Even gods aren't immune to the whims of this place.

Sometimes they show up more than once and don't remember earlier times.

That's the basics of it. Good to know someone else did the dirty work so I didn't have to. It gets boring telling it over and over again.

If I knew how to get out of here...

I'm from Earth-833 but more recently I was on Earth-616. There was a catastrophic event that allowed travel across dimensions. My own world... has since been destroyed... However, I was helping other Earths in attack by Elementals.

Numbering system helps with parallel dimensions. I should consider that. But there's never much time in the thick of it.

[he leans back on his spinny chair and throws a few kernels of popcorn in his mouth]

The funny thing about this place is, it's both easy and difficult to leave. People seem to disappear at will --either theirs or whatever force bought us here. Others long to leave but are stuck.

People seem to have already mentioned the whole time seems to stand still while you are here, but yet you can still have things like birthdays here.

There were these creatures, born of the elements of fire, earth, water and air. We called them the Elementals. They are highly destructive and will overpower the land if they are not stopped soon.

[He's speaking plainly, trusting the girl not to be too frightened just by his words.]

Never heard of any Avengers. I know of Earth, although I'm guessing you mean a different one from many of us here who can also make that claim.

Unfortunately, that rip is probably the same way the rest of us have been brought here. We've all been kidnapped, and we don't really have a way to get home. Not voluntarily.

[And this pains him, because Trunks understand that sense of urgency and need.]

From what I have understood, being here and listening as people arrive and come and go, Time seems to sort of 'stop' while we're gone. So any lives in danger aren't at the moment, while you're here.

[Voice calm, sympathetic, but firm.]

My name is Trunks, and just like you--I've been kidnapped to these cities. Like pretty much everyone else here. All of us have been brought here from various situations and lives and worlds. Sometimes from the middle a crisis just like you, sometimes from more peaceful times.
