[Archer is back and he smiles very brightly at the camera.]

Now taking bets on how long it takes for Rin to come here and kick my ass for vanishing.

[Actually it happens really fast, so there's a pause in the video for quite a while before Archer starts it again.]

Looks like I took a little leave without permission, but now I'm back again. My name is Archer, for those of you who don't know and care about that.

I'm planning on cooking something good to calm a certain someone down at least a notch, so anyone who knew me before is welcome to eat too.

[Action]

[As per his promise, Archer is going to go do some grocery shopping and prepare for making a meal. Mostly around in Genessia.

If you're someone he knows/likes/cares about, he can also be found in Fayren, at Ukabu-ie/Emiya House, making the meal and serving it to his friends.]

Then it's also always just as sudden if they come back and Rin just so happens to be near his location when their connection suddenly seems to return. One of the reasons why she is glad for renewing their pact before he disappeared...

[No hesitation. Her command seals for him shouldn't react to anyone else than her Archer. Shouldn't is an understatement, she knows they wouldn't! ...Even when his world could possibly still throw some weird shitty time wheels and take him here from any point in his time as a Servant.

And maybe someone would think that when she has missed him more than the tsundere will ever admit to him, Rin could be nice to him on his return??? Welcome back with a smile or even a hug maybe, that is how emotional reunions usually work, yes?]

[It's been a pretty average day so far for Shirou. He had an uneventful day at work, and was getting excited at the prospect of cooking dinner when he got home. He didn't need to stop at the market today, though, so when he finishes work he heads straight home.

And is immediately greeted by the odor of food wafting in from the kitchen.]

What the -- but today isn't--

[Today is supposed to be Shirou's day to cook, not Rin's. However, it doesn't smell like anything Rin has cooked in the past. In fact, it smells like the dish he'd been planning to make tonight. Immediately, he makes a beeline for the kitchen, and--]

[Finds himself totally speechless when he sees who is cooking dinner.]

["Ah" is a good way to put it. Archer looks over to Shirou, face rather neutral emotion-wise. Then he turns back to cooking so he doesn't burn anything on accident.]

If you want to give me a hand, there's a salad that needs to be done.

[Hey, it's better than 'Get the hell out'. He can at least be nice to himself upon return. Then he can go back to being an annoyance.]

[It takes a few seconds' worth of delay before Shirou manages to respond.]

...Fine.

[There's no point in refusing. This way they can also have dinner ready sooner. That's something that the rest of the residents can appreciate. Shirou rolls up his sleeves and then goes to the sink to wash his hands before getting to work making a salad.]

[At least they can both trust each others' cooking skills. Even if Archer sometimes makes the point of being superior. But not today.]

I don't plan on stealing your kitchen more than this. It's just my way to say sorry for being gone.

[Which he does. He'd probably do the same thing if he disappeared and reappeared. And, in a way, he's doing just that.]

Tohsaka and our old man will be especially pleased.

['Tohsaka', huh. Archer shakes his head.]

We just need to make sure Kiritsugu actually comes over to eat... but are you ever going to call her Rin? You've been dating for quite a while now and she can't always be Tohsaka to you.

[Shirou is irritated that Archer, of all people, is asking him this question. He'd be less irritated if it had come from Kiritsugu or someone else, but not Archer.]

I treat her as my master... so unless you're into some sort kinks I'm unaware of, no.
