[Upon his arrival, Mysterio was in full costume, looking like Thor, Dr Strange and Iron Man rolled into one. Now he appears on the network in regular clothing - a brown sweater and tan trousers - looking elegantly casual.]
Hello again.
I have had some time to to explore and familiarize myself with this world and I'm impressed with the technology here - at least in Nova City. It's far beyond what I've seen before yet it's also lacking. That's why I am going to work for and with Aster Technologies and we can combine our knowledge to do great things.
Now, I know, I introduced myself as Mysterio when I first arrived and that is indeed a name I am known by but let's have a proper introduction now, shall we?
My name is Quentin Beck.

Fortunately, Trunks was usually polite and it wasn't annoying enough for him to do more than that internal eye-roll.]
I thought you'd familiarized yourself with the surroundings--guess you missed some.
[Okay, maybe a hint of snark. Blame his mother, and justifiable pride that Trunks had in her and her work and inventions.]
We mostly deal with consumer goods. Those who need a lot of space, but want a lot of stuff too. You're in Nova City, so I'm sure you'll see us.

The work is in Nova City. Currently, I was given a key to an apartment in Genessia, and I haven't had time to explore every part of either city as yet.
Damn, I hadn't realized I'd forgotten to switch icons. >.<
Fair point. I live in Nova, used to work in Everglades, and have explored pretty much every city but the newest one they found. Windgate Creek I think? Fayren is the one I'm least familiar with, but it's a great place to train without bothering too many people.
[See? All good.]
np!
Re: np!
You'll find magic here. Actual magic, that isn't technology that hasn't yet been studied or understood. You'll also find other abilities that seem like magic, but aren't and aren't technology either.
Attleton has the best food, and is the most normal of the cities so far. Aside from the Colosseum. Genessia is the other 'normal' one. For a common definition of normal.

Attleton's Colosseum is the only place that doesn't apply. The consequences---you still come back.
no subject
Apart from the force field, I expect it's something similar by the sound of your description.
Can you tell me what these consequences are?
no subject
[Yet.]
It's something I've been meaning to look into, as well as the Force Field, but I've mostly been concerned more immediately with the various surprises this place throws at us, trying to actually enjoy a shred of normalcy that I've never actually had a chance at, and focusing more on areas I know something about. Mostly dealing with the time and dimensional theories.
no subject
What sort of surprises do you mean?

[Don't blush, don't blush, don't blush...]
Reserved than usual. [Damnit. There's a hint of blush, then a head-shake. He did not need to remember that make-out incident now.]
Some people had other things happen, like becoming an angel. One of my friends became the god of Candy, my sister was a Goddess of Fashion. I wasn't affected that time. In the past I'd had other friends who'd had that happen before--one of whom had become a vampire. So I was sort of warned.
[Okay, willing that blush away now. Please go away.]
There were the eggs which also induced random effects on people, like giving us bunny ears, or causing a localized rain-cloud, or pinning you to the ground. Those went away after a few hours, but the full change before lasted like a month.
Others could tell you more I'm sure.
no subject
That all sounds very outlandish.
But I have seen worlds where superheroes exist and millions of people suddenly vanish without warning and the elements form into monsters that destroy cities so.... I have no reason to not believe you.

[Said with a wry smile.]
We have some Heroes, and some villains, here from a world hat has them. At least more formally organized than I'm used to thinking of it. If you mean a super-hero in terms of having powers, then they definitely qualify.
[More than just them, but first he wondered now if Mr. Beck had been familiar with All Might's homeworld.]
no subject
Tell me more about these heroes.
no subject
There have been gods yes.
[Definitely more serious, as the easy smile falls and his eyes harden a bit.]
I've met at least 2 here, neither of whom I'd care to meet again. The one didn't do much while here, thankfully. The other tried to claim Fayren for himself. Said he was a Moon God, and took the form of a big giant fox. Let all comers try and challenge him in the Colosseum, because, well, no one was too keen on him just showing up and claiming a city. He learned.
[A hint of smirk. Honestly the attitude alone was enough to get Trunks to take on Tsukuyomi when Seventeen had proposed teaming up. That he'd found he and the android worked well together had been a bonus.]
Not sure where he is too--I should ask about that. If he's still here, he's not causing trouble at least.
no subject
So you've had villainous beings here, trying to take over but they've been stopped... by yourself and by others?
[That smirk from Trunks seemed telling.]
no subject
[Not just for Trunks himself, although he's experienced it too. Both because of when Zamasu was present, but also with Shigaraki. Would he have hurt Bulla and the others if the guardians and others had been able to take his history from his world into account?]
Not all of them have tried to take over. Some have just...well... they've done a lot of harm. Not that vigilante-ism is supported here either. Each city does have it's own rules and police, but more importantly each city has Guardians, and their deputies, who do what they can to keep the peace and keep everyone safe.
[A pause, and a breath, and good mood returned.]
I'm one of the deputies in Nova City, and yeah--I was one of those who helped teach the Moon God a lesson. It wasn't the first time I've dealt with wanna be world-conquerors or arrogant psychopathic Gods.
no subject
Yes, some grudges can never be completely cleared from one's mind.
[He has some of his own. He doesn't think he could just let them go.]
I've heard about these Guardians. I even met one of them - Papyrus? Of Fayren.
It's good to hear that there are others around who will keep things peaceful.
no subject
[There's a shrug of one shoulder.]
I was a meddling type who wanted to help people even before becoming a deputy. I think that's part of why I was accepted. I've spent my whole life trying to protect people.
no subject
It sounds like a job for heroes.
no subject
[Trunks doesn't usually think of himself as a hero either, even though it fits. It's more he just views it as doing what he has to, and doing what's right. It's part of who he is.]
But as mentioned, it is a Guardian's--and the Deputies-- job to keep peace. Someone comes here and was a villain in their world, or a bad guy? Long as they don't break the laws here and don't make trouble, they get protected just the same. A 'hero' can't go after them just because back home they were the bad guy.
no subject
So where can I find a list of these laws? Or are they merely the usual ones such as no stealing and no murder.
no subject
[Teasing. At least that is what Trunks is trying to do, with the smile.]
I'd have to check and see if the new guardians elected have changed or modified anything. I know Nova's haven't changed, and can easily send a copy to your phone.
[Which Trunks does indeed do, as there is an incoming file to Beck's device.]
no subject
Thank you for the assistance. You're very helpful.
[His response is a bit more neutral, or at least more serious.]
no subject
[And definitely a more normal smile.]
Aster's not a bad place to work though, from what I recall. Unless my Mother fit in well there because of her work-a-holic habits, in which case be careful.
