[Upon his arrival, Mysterio was in full costume, looking like Thor, Dr Strange and Iron Man rolled into one. Now he appears on the network in regular clothing - a brown sweater and tan trousers - looking elegantly casual.]

Hello again.

I have had some time to to explore and familiarize myself with this world and I'm impressed with the technology here - at least in Nova City. It's far beyond what I've seen before yet it's also lacking. That's why I am going to work for and with Aster Technologies and we can combine our knowledge to do great things.

Now, I know, I introduced myself as Mysterio when I first arrived and that is indeed a name I am known by but let's have a proper introduction now, shall we?

My name is Quentin Beck.

[Ace isn't particularly gifted when it comes to technology, so it's probably more than enough of an explanation.] Did you have Den Den Mushi on your Earth? Most worlds don't have them, so I wanna know if yours did. We were pretty low tech as far as a lot of these places went, but we had those at least. And systems based on 'em.

Kinda figured. I think it's something else that's unique to where I'm from.

They can do a lot of stuff. [It's weird thinking about using them now. These phones are way more convenient.] We didn't have phones back home like we have here. Or a lot of stuff honestly. Instead we have snails that use a mix of mind power and some kinda signal to send messages back and forth to each other. You get them, tame 'em, attach stuff to them like receivers so they can send messages and take pictures and send videos.

Yeah. Real snails. [Ace gestures with his hands, indicating something roughly the size of a cat.] About that big, and pretty much everyone used them. You could send messages through News Coo instead, but that could take a while. Seagulls only fly so fast, and it's hard to really get a private message. Here? All I gotta do is make sure the settings are right and I didn't forget something. And it's instant.
burnt_offering: (It is you I have loved all along)

Wasn't back home. Stuff like these phones seemed really unusual when I got here.

They work a lot better. And they do a lot more. So I'm pretty happy to have mine. Even if there's some risk involved.

These phones are given to us like they're gifts. Even with all they can do. Nothing is really for free though.

[Ace shrugs.] I wouldn't be surpised if everything is being monitored.
burnt_offering: (So I'm actually listening)

I'm kinda leaning towards us being experiments.

Anyway. Good luck with your big tech job. That's pretty beyond me, but it's exciting stuff.
