[ Action; Genessia City, over the Cove ]

[ Those of you in Genessia City might notice the dark clouds swirling overhead. Those of you paying attention to those clouds will realize that they are swirling over the Cove in the center of the city. They become more noticeable when you see the red lightning arcing between clouds, and the girl floating underneath them.

The girl is obviously demonic, what with the horns and flying and... red lightning arcing around. She also has on a black and red eyepatch, which is important to note.

Once she's gathered enough storm clouds overhead and a crowd underneath, she makes her declaration. She's shouting, and she's pretty loud, but also? She's pretty high up. Her words are hard to hear. ]

You think you can kidnap the Demon Lord and get away with it!?! Come forth and face your JUDGEMENT! The flames of eternal torment await any who would make an enemy of me, to steal me away from my dark brides! I will make this entire world my enemy if I must, and see it burn away into cinders!

....Seriously! Who do I have to murder for this!?


[ Video, slightly later ]

[ Later, the storm clouds are all gone. She's gone back to get all the sweet loot she had left behind in the Cove. And she's making a video post, looking slightly sheepish. The eyepatch is gone, and you can see both of her eyes now - red, with black sclera.

She seems to be speaking to somebody off camera for a moment. ] Is this right? Is it working? Is it... how do you know it's on? [ She looks back to the camera, squints slightly, then nods.

Clears her throat. ] I'm, um, sorry about all the storm clouds and loudly declaring the world my enemy and stuff. I wasn't actually going to burn down the city probably, [ she totally was, ] I was just upset.

I'm Vera, the Demon Lord. It's, uh, a pleasure. I guess.

[Oh.

Oh, god. She recognize these stormclouds. And the red lightning. And the indistinct voice. Rose is sprinting towards the center of the storm, but unfortunately, it's a big city, and she's on foot.

Still, once she's gotten close enough, which is definitely enough time for shenanigans to have occurred in between that intro and Rose showing up, she's going to just shout up there.]

Vera please don't burn anyone!

[ BY THIS POINT, flames have gather around Vera's arm, red flames edged with black shadow in a way that only magical flames can be, and she's gesturing wildly at the ground. ]

This city shall become the grave of all who defy me, of which even--

[ She stops.

The flames sputter out.

She looks down, and directly at Rose. ]

R....

ROSE! [ And then she's darting down, magic carrying her down into what will either be a tackle-hug of bone-brushing proportions or a face-first landing of equally bone-crushing proportions. ]

[okay, GOOD ENOUGH EITHER WAY. Rose endures the hug, and hugs back.]

Jeez... I missed you, you weirdo. I was wondering when you'd show up, and you start with this?

[she's saying that, but her voice is just. so fond. she loves vera so much.]

[ The Demon Lord looks down upon this person. Lightning cracks in the sky overhead, silhouetting her form against the sky for a moment.

And then, she shouts down, ] What'd you say?! Shout louder!!

Might want to dial those back a bit. It's not going to get the attention of the people you're looking for, and the people here can only take so many unnatural weather events a year. That blood rain crap a while back in Everglade was enough for two lifetimes...

[She crossed her arms for a moment, she could already tell that even with that sentence that the whole killing thing never happened and one wouldn't have calmed down.]

So as much as that hero was meant to do that, they never did? I mean if you aren't in the burning thing when they arrived it meant that they are someone close to you and can calm you down.

[Hello fellow demon, have a demon who looks perfectly human because he didn't see the point in his demon form unless he had good reason to. Now one wouldn't normally want to piss anyone, but here he is...doing probably that.]

Well, they kind of did kidnap a demon lord and are getting away with it. But if you want to take it out on someone there is a hologram there.

[He knew what would happen if one were to attack it, however. Best to not attack it.]

[Such is a Guardian's job that Satou must respond to this. She can hear the distant shouting of this demonic looking girl, as well as see her storm clouds and frightening red lightning... But she notes that the lightning has yet to strike anyone or anything, and that the shouts she does hear are aimed at the kidnapping.

Satou transforms to an all black dress, then hops into the air. Petite pink wings form on her heels and seemingly play a part in allowing Satou to walk higher into the sky.]

Excuse me! Ms... Demon Lord, correct? Could you cool it with the menace and join me for a chat, please?

Ha! So you must be the- [ Lightning cracks loudly and ominously overhead, drowning out the next couple of words Vera shouts.

She stops, turning to glare overhead. SHE WAS TALKING.

She turns back to this... hey is that a magical girl? ...WELL WHATEVER. ]

...You must be the kidnapper! Finally come to- [ LIGHTNING, THUNDER, NOISES ] ....face me!?

[Satou is one who shudders briefly at the thunder. She has to hope it's magic thunder, as they are otherwise risking their lightning rod heads by being up so high. For the moment, she doesn't bother with creating her wand or beautifying her outfit with too many bells and whistles. Instead, she just puts her hands on her hips and sighs loudly.]

No way! The kidnapper part. Face you, though, yes. [Satou removes one hand from her hip and wags a finger.] You are being a public nuisance! Please disspell your thunder and land. You're going to hurt someone or start a fight.
