Backdated-Log-for June/July/ (open)
Guardians and Deputy-assessment. Mid-June. Closed
Closed to: Grievous, Anakin Skywalker, Trunks Brief
Where: Attleton Colosseum.
Trunks had been new as a Nova City deputy already, when Gale left. With Grievous stepping up, Trunks still felt very much the 'new kid' so to speak (even though he wasn't a kid). A casual meeting (and brief demonstration) had already happened, but Trunks was willing to have another so Grievous could assess him better. Besides, he was curious about those lightsabers.
The safest place Trunks knew though, where they could reasonably have a less controlled spar, was in Attleton. Planning with Grievous, and the pair were now headed into the Colosseum, Trunks bringing his sword as he wanted his 'boss' so to speak to have a good idea of what he was capable of.
Work Together, play together. End of June. Closed
Closed to: Mai
Where: Nova City Capsule Corp work room
Trunks had finally gone as far on this project as he felt comfortable doing alone. Now, he needed an expert in resource management and survival. To him, that meant Mai--considering how she'd lead the survivors in their world, and kept everyone's spirits and hopes up too. Especially his.
Their situation was very different here in Genessia and its cities, but that didn't mean Trunks had forgotten. He never would, sadly. Nightmares, and other manifestations of stress and trauma. Especially when any of his loved ones vanished. He and Mai weathered them together, and he only hoped he could be a source of strength and hope for her, the way she had been for him.
They were also overdue for a date, in his mind--but this wouldn't be a date.
Instead, he was in one of the work rooms at Capsule Corps in Nova City, waiting for Mai. He wanted her input and her help on a project, before he went further on it. Wanted her opinion and ideas she had.
Research and catching up. Early-to-mid-July. Open to All.
OPEN!
Where: Around Genessia City's Library and the various headquarters of the GSRF.
He felt guilty that it had taken him this long to get back to work. Just because he and Mai and others were reasonably okay with being trapped and kidnapped, didn't mean everyone was. Even without his mom to help (she was better at all of this), he had other friends who could help. But first, he needed to make sure to gather information.
Later he'd talk to Rose, about the readings and stuff the Doctor had set up before he'd left. For now, Trunks had his notebook with him and was in the Library. He also planned to visit the Genessia Scientific Research Foundations, see what information had been gathered before. It was a rare nice time to NOT be at Capsule Corps and working.

"Hello there!!" Oh. It was just Koishi. She then proceeded to attach herself to his arm, nuzzling it vigorously. "What are you doing? Can I help? I'm bored."
no subject
"Bored huh? I don't get to see you as much, now that I'm not part-time at Torchwood anymore. How have you been keeping busy? I've been playing responsible business-owner." A grin and sort of hugging her with the arm she was wrapped around and nuzzling. "Been neglecting some side projects, so catching up on that."
no subject
"All of those things that you're doing sound really, really dull. Wouldn't you rather be doing something fun? Like playing with some cute animals or watching something interesting happen?" She finally let go of his arm, straightening her hat. "What kinds of side projects?"
no subject
Of course, Koishi might find that boring too.
"I mean, if you think about it--we're brought here from different universes and times, and stuck here despite the array of abilities and knowledge and powers people have. How? Why? The more we can find out about where we are, and what the 'rules' that govern this place are, the more likely we are to finding answers."
Definitely a scientist's son.

"Those are all really good questions. I asked those too but I didn't know the answers. And knowing answers would be nice but, at this point, I'm kind of done asking. Home has been very similar or the same for me for centuries. And since my friends at home are being taken care of, I've never minded being here. It's a nice change." A moment of lucidity it seemed.
"If you ever need my help though, I can do that. Just because I'm content doesn't mean everyone else is."
no subject
"I appreciate that, and thank you Koishi. I'm--" Pausing, one hand moving up to rake through his bangs in thought. "I'm enjoying the normalcy here, compared to what I'm used to. The fact that I don't have to live on the edge of survival, and can do things I never had a chance to before. On the other hand, I know this place is, in essence, a prison in many ways. And that others want and need to get home."
Closed - Grievous/Trunks/Anakin
So his warrior's spirit was looking forward to this.
When they reached the Attleton Colosseum, Grievous waited for Trunks to ready himself. Meanwhile, he removed his cloak and took out his three lightsabers. His arms split, making four. It may even be handy to have a free hand with no weapon. All the better for grabbing his opponent.
"Ready when you are," he announced as he ignited all three blades - two blue and one green - and faced Trunks.
Re: Closed - Grievous/Trunks/Anakin
That, and he wanted to see the light-saber again. Still very curious about that, as it wasn't a manifestation of Ki. So how did the energy blade work? He hadn't seen a laser that finely contained or manifested used as a weapon before, and it didn't seem like a normal laser.
He didn't need much preparation honestly, pulling his sword from over his shoulder. The split arms though, had Trunks blinking and then narrowing his eyes. That would make it a challenge more than normal. 4 arms, 3 blades, and a 90% cybernetic opponent with otherwise unknown-capabilities.
Trunks nodded to himself and readied his stance. "This is the one place in Genessia where death doesn't have a penalty-cost. I'm not really sure about injuries, and I'd rather not find out." A hint of smirk. "Granted I could probably replace your arm or leg easier than you could replace mine."
Pausing, and then bringing his blade up, parallel to his shoulder and readying a strike and himself. "I'll try to keep it non-lethal and non-injurious if you will." Another moment to ensure Grievous agreed, and then he was darting forward.
Fast and quick, with an obvious feint and strike towards the taller being's legs. Unmasking his own ki signature too, and letting it start to surround him. Not transforming or fully powering-up yet, but he wanted to be ready.
