Log - First Chapter
Who: Blake Belladonna // OPEN
Where: The Library
When: Night of September 12th
Summary: Blake is still restless after being dropped off in a strange new world. Her only real solace are her friends but also books. Sleep deprived still, she tries to find any useful knowledge in the texts and pages.
[Upon arrival, not only did Blake realize her friends were somehow behind her in time but also that a ghost from her past was there. Possibly to haunt her or possibly to taunt her.The main killer was the people who already said she had been there before.
Tired as she may be, Blake certainly would of remembered that she would of been in a place like Genessia but sadly, she didn't. Maybe it was a blessing in disguise or perhaps a curse. It was far too early to tell just yet.
During the night, still unable to decently sleep, Blake left the comfort of the apartment Weiss and Yang were kind enough to put her in. It made the transition a little easier to have them with her especially after encountering Adam and this Lucifer fellow that Weiss warned her about. She had yet to see Sun, if he really WAS there, as well as Professor Ozpin.
That worried her... How such a high level Hunter was able to be just as clueless as them...
Quietly she left the building, hands full with the map of hers she was given and circled in red was her destination. The Library.
Making her way, though getting slightly lost, Blake peeked in through the doors before pushing them ad stepping inside. The familiar scent of pages was actually a great comfort as well but the only downside with comfort was it made her realize just how exhausted she was and how heavy her eyelids felt that were red with dark bags under her eyes.
Shaking her head in an attempt to wake up, she pushed through and stared down a line of books.]
Gotta stay awake. No time for getting sleepy just yet.

Under her bow, her ears twitched and for a moment she silently cursed that she was too occupied [and tired] to have even heard anyone, let alone Adam, in the library with her. She was mostly just used to Ren and he was as quiet as her.
Choosing not to really engage in some more angry spouts he might have towards her, she just continued down her aisle and spoke quietly. To the point and precise.]
Can't sleep when I don't know exactly where I am.
no subject
Fair enough. [he shrugged. he wanted her to go to sleep, but it also wasn't exactly his business to force her to. he knew how much she loved reading, and how often it would keep her up as well.
he didn't know if she would even want to engage him in any sort of conversation, so he simply walked over to one of the many tables in the library, setting down the book he had just grabbed, and took a seat. but he did glance up occasionally to see just what she was grabbing, and if she found her books properly. if she wanted to talk to him, then she would be free to join his table.]
no subject
Shouldn't you be asleep?
[She didn't exactly know what to say to Adam given she was still worried about her 'first' time in this place. What exactly happened? She had no idea ad that was almost a fear. Something obviously happened to make him even madder than she expected him to be after leaving the White Fang.
Shaking her head again, only because she'd drive herself crazy trying to rake her mind for any glimpse of a reminder of a past in this place, Blake grabbed one of the chairs from his table and carried it over to one of the towers of books.
Setting it down, she looked from the seat, hoping it's sturdy, then back up to the book she was after and climbed up. Taking the book, she lingered and tipped her head, reading the rest of the spines.]
no subject
I suppose I'm having the same problem as you, I just can't sleep. [he shrugged lightly, then idly opened his book while he talked to her.]
I haven't slept since I woke back up, after being dead and all.
no subject
Often, she would have to reread some of the titles of the books since her tiredness made her nearly blank out the few times she did read them prior. Ugh, that wasn't good.
Rubbing her eyes again to help wake up just a bit more, she decided to just roulette it and grabbed a few that looked older than most.]
no subject
You can sit here, if you'd like. [he's mostly just going to be grabbing books and looking through them as well.]
no subject
Taken back, she glanced over at him with a curious quirk of her eyebrow.] I thought you hated me here?
no subject
You said it yourself, you don't remember anything- so it doesn't matter. I think we should just focus on the present, anyway.
no subject
[Adam, following her advice? That was new and rare to begin with, but in a world where she assumed they completely fell out of touch, it was at least a bit nice of him to do.
Mulling it over in her head, she sighed and took a seat farthest from him at his table with her books laid out. She had to determine an order based on possible printing date to keep things chronological.
From her pocket, she slipped out a piece of paper that had a few names written down, ones that Weiss had told her to be weary of. Maybe their names could correspond with something in the texts.]
no subject
adam glanced over at her, and he noticed that piece of paper she had.]
What's that?
no subject
Giving up on even trying to not be tired, she held up the paper only to put it back down on her book.] Names.
Weiss has been here longer than me and has seen more than I have, obviously. There are dangerous beings here and I intend to see if there are any links. Or perhaps definitions of names or eve similar names since these certainly seem out of the wood work.
no subject
Can I see? [if there are dangers here, then he wants to see.] There's probably names that have popped up since my absence.
no subject
Um...let me read them off to you.
no subject
...waaiiit a minute. adam frowned further, and he leaned in a little towards her.]
If Weiss made the list, I have a feeling I'm on there.
[but then he leaned back in his seat, crossing his arms and staring at her from behind his mask.]
If you think I'll care, then think again. We both have an understanding here, even if... people might not believe me. [he turned his head away from her, looking at nothing in particular.]
There's no White Fang here, I have nothing to gain anymore... so, I'm just like you- focusing on the dangers that's been presented here. [even though he'll always hate humans.]
no subject
She rolled her eyes and took out the paper, tossing it on the table that had all the names Weiss gave her, including his, but completely crossed out.]
Exactly why I took you off of it. You're a danger, but not to the levels these others seem to be.
no subject
[he reached over and grabbed the paper. he looked it over, and he nodded slightly.]
The names I recognize... they're part of the ones that are no longer here.
[adam's eyes looked over the remaining names, even glancing over his crossed out one. he memorized the names easily enough, and he would keep them all in mind. he sighed, then handed it back to her.
he was a danger... yeah, he knew it. he still hated humans, he would kill them if he ever had to, but still to hear it from blake was.... maddening.]
no subject
Taking her list back, she glanced over the names before remembering something Weiss told her. About the girl Adam cared for and the one who might of taken her.]
And this, Lucifer? I've spoken with him once and while that one time we got along, it quickly changed when he seemed to revel in chaos.
no subject
[adam's voice lowered when he spoke, it was for her to know how serious he was about him. they were the only ones here, but that didn't mean he had to shout about lucifer and what was happening.]
He destroyed so much of Genessia months ago. He's not someone you want to get along with, Blake. You might not trust me about many things right now, but trust me about this.
And now he has a friend of mine with him, I know it.
no subject
I know. Weiss mentioned something about that.
She's important to you so, we're going to do what we can to get her back to you. So don't worry too much, okay?
no subject
I'm not worried. [oh but he is, he just doesn't want to show it.]
no subject
At saying he wasn't worried though, she gave him a sort of unimpressed gaze.] At least give me a little credit. I know you are... but again, we'll do what we can.
no subject
No, it's nothing. [WON'T WORRY ABOUT IT.]
...And you're okay with helping out? [they're going to go get a girl that's his friend after all. he wondered what her thoughts about this were.]
no subject
It's odd but- if they're important to you then that's the bottom line.
A fresh new start breeds all sorts of possibilities.
Besides, I have Sun here and my friends. They're special to me and I don't doubt you'd do the same despite however you feel.
no subject
it might be hard to see, but he had dark circles around his eyes as well. his face was still the same as ever however, ugly scars covering both his eyes, and along the bridge of his nose.]
I would. [and that was most certainly a promise.] Despite everything, if you needed help, I'd help you.
no subject
Tiredly opening deep yellow eyes, she gave a small nod at that.]
When you get her back, protect her. If someone gives you purpose like this then they're obviously worth all your strength, Adam.
