Log 03 | [Action]
Who: Gale, Silicon, Lioriley and Aymeric
What: Gale leapt off a speeding train with Silicon. Now they kinda need to be found and picked up. Oops.
Where: Somewhere in Everglade (then probably Fayren)
When: Day 3 of the Doom Train (August 20??)
[The beam of flame had only narrowly missed Gale when he had picked up Silicon and leapt from the train, effectively giving his leg another burn for his endeavors. He'd held onto Silicon tightly, doing his best to shield her from the rocky landing that would soon follow. Which in hindsight was not his best idea, but it's not like he had the chance to try to think of a better plan in the moment. He slid down the rocky terrain on his back, letting out a sharp gasp of pain when he finally came to a stop. Seven hells, that hurt. And his poor coat was going to be in desperate need of repairs later. His rapier and magick crystal clattered to the ground nearby shortly after.
This sure was a very unfamiliar part of Everglade to him. Not that he'd put in terribly much time to explore any of the cities extensively, but he wasn't even sure if this area was mapped out. They could figure that out in a bit. There was a far more important matter to attend to instead. Slowly, and with a sharp inhale through his teeth, Gale lifted his head to look at Silicon through his cracked glasses.]
H-Hey, Silly. You okay?
[That sure was a lot of burning and searing pain he was feeling right now, but he couldn't care less about his own condition right now.]

H-Hey, Silly. You okay?
[That sure was a lot of burning and searing pain he was feeling right now, but he couldn't care less about his own condition right now.]

Silicon no longer liked trains.]
Nngh... I-I'm... [She frowns briefly, then gasps.] Wait, I can't feel pain! You didn't have to do that, Mr Gale!
[Silly honestly won't know if she's injured unless she sees physical signs of injury. As far as she knows, she's fine. Which she is relieved for: She can't feel pain, but she also cannot heal injuries naturally.]

[He stared at her in mild bewilderment but then managed a weak laugh. That's not what he would have expected to hear... but there wasn't a regret in his mind. He would have shaken his head if not for the intense pain, so the best he could do is smile at her instead.]
Still, I could not stand aside and- [He quietly gasped.] -and let that damnable voidsent hurt you like it did the other.
[The stakes were well set after seeing Ted get incinerated before their eyes, and he wasn't going to let the same happen to Silicon.]
S-so long as you are safe, then I accomplished my goal.

The thought is scary. Wanting to distract herself, she focuses on Gale.]
Hey, don't move. You got hurt. [She carefully wiggles away and pushes herself up on her palms. Her pockets aren't wet, so the glass vials in them must have been cushioned appropriately.] I might have something to help until we get... [Gold eyes lift, staring around blankly.] ... Somewhere.

His attention then turns back to their surroundings. Who the hells knew where they were, but he knew he wasn't going to be getting much of anywhere in his current condition. He could probably manage a healing spell on himself, but that might use more strength than he could feasibly allow. It will have to wait.]
Don't worry, I am-- I'm okay. I have had worse in mine travels.
[Which is true-- to an extent. He did have a habit of surviving through some real nasty encounters, but he hadn't exactly badly damaged his spine either. Or potentially damaged it, anyway. It sure felt like he did, but through the burning and stinging, it was hard to tell.]
I am afraid I've not traversed this far out in to Everglade. [Wheeze.] I fear the same could be said of you?

Let's start with a bit of this. It'll dull the pain, but not erase it. [It'll be important to know where he hurts, so they can... not hurt it worse.]
And no, I don't. But I imagine those tracks will lead back to where we started.

Any kind of succor is a welcome relief. Thank you.
[He could only hope that it would take effect quickly. He attempted to turn his head to look up at the tracks, but he couldn't manage that far, resting his head on the ground again with a wince.]
T'is the most likely solution, but I fear I may slow you down. [He hesitated, closing one of his eyes.] It may be a long ways back. We had been on that train for some time before the voidsent saw fit to take over.
[They had traveled for two days by train. He could only imagine how much longer it would take trying to get back on foot, not even taking into account his injuries.]

I could have a Pokemon carry you... My dragon friends were too big for the train, but out here should be fine.
[That solution doesn't end her worries.] Does your communication device work..? Perhaps we should signal a need for assistance. Your injuries may be severe.

[Probably because that ticket said "Doom Train" on it, so he didn't want to take the risk. But damn it, Arcanine would have been so helpful here. He was so ill prepared for this ordeal, but he also didn't expect that jumping off the train would be in his agenda either.
Then she mentioned the device. He knew just the people to call but... oh gods, he can only imagine how well that will turn out when they see his condition. Still, it's not like he had any other option.
He slowly moves his arm and shuffles through a pocket, pulling the device out. It had a small crack on the screen now, but it seemed fully operational otherwise.]
A-ah, thank the gods. It works. [He offers it to Silicon after unlocking it.] I- I believe the best ones to call m-may be... Lioriley and Ser Aymeric. If one of them brings Arcanine, we might be able to get out of here faster.
[Or so he hoped. But with Arcanine's nose (and his loyalty), it may cut their travel time in half.]
two elves and an asshole walk into a bar
Arcanine laid down in front of the door, looking in the direction of Aymeric and Lioriley. Once Arcanine had stopped, Gale attempted to slowly lift his head. He attempted to push himself up to try to carry himself, but his strength was quick to give out, so he just slouched against Arcanine again.]
T-thank you both, for coming so quickly. [Part of that was probably thanks to Arcanine since, wow, he had no idea Arcanine could move that quickly.] I can rest more easily knowing Silicon is safely home.
[Injuries? What injuries? He's fine. Even though he can't move. Not much anyway.]

Lioriley would have healed Gale and Silicon on the spot, had it not been such a mess. Too much panic and chaos to do much of anything besides the minimum of getting everyone to safety. Now that they were outside of their woodland home, the Lunari just stared at Gale with a mixture of confusion, concern, and very minute annoyance. The latter stemming purely from his inability to realize how hurt he truly was. )
Stop. ( She says as she moves forward, a hand on Gale's arm. Without warning, nor even a hint of her intentions, a surge of bright blue energy seeps from the curved lines on her fingers; sinking past the torn cloth of Gale's coat and into his skin. A healing spell that would, if he didn't pull away, ease some of the pain he felt and, eventually, patch over the wounds she could not even see. ) You need to stay still, or at least let us assist you.
