You have a knack for avoiding the question. So haven't said if you're immortal or not.

In any case, I'm hoping the new Lord Death's goal is achieved and wet don't have to fight with the witches anymore. That just leaves corrupted human souls, which are markedly less dangerous...especially if you catch them early enough.

Whichever way I answer I have to deal with suspicious minds trying to prove me a liar. Not worth the trouble. If it's all the same to you, treat me like I'm not.

You might lay off the 'I reap souls for Lord Death' if it's unguarded candor you're looking for, too.

First: I'm not a reaper. That's a very different job, and strictly Kid's. And second, you did ask what I did aside from almost certainly die.

Though I don't really think about it being something that makes people wary. I guess in part because I've lived in the same place for so long, where people don't really care so much.

I'm sure if you stick around not causing problems long enough people will act the same way here, but in the short term advertising yourself as an agent of death isn't going to make the common folk comfortable.

So why, exactly, aren't you fighting witches?

I don't cause much trouble here. [He's found plenty of it, but that's not what she's asking.]

We're working with them now. We needed their help, and they came to our aid. We wouldn't have been successful in our attempt to stop the Kishin if they hadn't helped us.
