Greetings people of Genessia and its surrounding cities. I am Milla Maxwell. I have just awoken to this strange and unfamiliar world and seek a means to leave it so that I might return to my duties back home. But before I can do that, it seems I must make a living here; I am prepared to offer my services.

I have experience as a mercenary. In particular I am rather proficient at hunting monsters, of which I've heard there are many lurking around the woods of Everglade. Aside from that, I'll gather items from places too treacherous for others to travel to, locate missing persons, make deliveries, or other tasks of such a nature - for a fee, of course.

I am an ally to you, Genessia, and I hope you in turn trust me.

[He seems amazed. His creator was Master X, so naturally that's the one who has his loyalty. But a human's creator? He hadn't given these things speculation before, if only because it seemed pointless. There was no proof of construction, only faith and tales that were milennia old.]

Yes, they are indeed very real - where I come from, anyway. The case may not be the same for yourself.

No. I would not assume so.

A being with such power would not have allowed one's creations to become so utterly destroyed.

Alas, such a thing is not always true. A divine being can't always interject in the lives of humans. Sometimes it is wiser to instead let things run their course.

It isn't unlike a parent and their child. Parenting guides often state that it is wise to give your child some freedom as well as guidance.

Our planet has been ravaged. Pollution levels make the majority of the planet inhospitable for organic life. Very few humans still survive, and their numbers continue to diminish with each passing day.

[His gaze is sharp, but not accusing.]

If ever such a deity existed in our world, that deity has abandoned its creations.

Is it possible for something like that to simply abandon its people?

[Now she's getting in some time for deep thought. Perhaps it was possible, but Maxwell wasn't like that - SHE wasn't like that.]

It truly is a tragedy.

It may be possible that our world has no deity. There is certainly no proof of such. Not everything has a Creator.
