WHAT: Weiss is being helpful. Or nosy. Whatever you want to call it. Either way, Sun's going to get tested to make sure he's ready for a date.

[ Granted, Weiss wasn't actually an expert at dating. Not even close. But now that she was one of the people who at least had a successful relationship thus far meant that she could at least take the position of someone who knew more than Blake and Sun did. Not the most impressive logic, but she'd seen enough movies to know how this was supposed to go and if what she knew about Sun said anything, he was probably going to skip wearing anything beyond an open shirt and jeans.

It was a travesty that something had to be done about.

Besides, she had to find out what his favorite color was, so she might as well peek her nose in while she's there anyway. ]

[ Two knocks, and she was waiting for an answer politely. ]

[Sun wasn't really expecting Weiss to come over, but he wasn't doing anything important. It takes him a few moments to come to the door and open it up.]

What's up, Weiss?

[ She's letting herself in as soon as he opens up the door. The height difference makes it fairly easy to weave around him. ]

Show me your closet.

[By far the strangest thing she has ever come over to his place and said. No context or anything, Weiss?]

Are..you expecting to find something in it? Because I know you don't want to borrow any of my clothes. They are too big for you.

Of course I'm not here to borrow your clothes!

[ Weiss all but scoffed at him as she turned to face him, hands on her hips as she leaned forward. ]

You're going on a date with Blake, which means I'm going to make sure you're not going to get kicked out of wherever you're going based on the "No shirt, no shoes, no service" rules in most establishments. And if you're taking her some place that doesn't have that rule for a first date, you're taking her somewhere else.

How do you even know that me and Blake are going on a date in the first place? [He didn't tell anyone about it and..he was pretty sure that Weiss wasn't following him around and spying on him. Did Blake mention it to her for some reason?]

Because we're teammates and teammates tell each other things.

[ Obviously. She figures she won't mention Blake asking for advice. It's perfectly reasonable either way. ]

Now come on. You're showing me what you're planning on wearing.

Yeah but..somethings you keep secret from teammates too. [But he'll show her. He turns and starts back towards his bedroom and he heads over to his closet. He reaches inside and takes a really nice looking new white shirt!

I was going to go with this.

[whiteas]

True, but not dates. I even told you I was dating Zuko and you haven't exactly complained about that.

[ And technically he's not even a teammate. Weiss appraises the white shirt. It's new at least, so that's okay. ]

Which pants?

Just a pair of my blue jeans. [So just his normal pants. There was nothing wrong with that as far as he could see. He was planning to wear everything that he typically wore, not including the new shirt.]

[whiteas]

Put on some nice pants at least. It's a first date, you want to look nice, don't you? Do you even own something other than jeans?

[ :| ]

[Sun looks from Weiss and over to his closest. He stares for a moment before looking back over to her.]

I've never needed to wear anything other than jeans so...no. Why? Does Blake have an issue with what I usually wear? [He's not going to put on a tie, at least. That's where he's drawing the line.]

[whiteas]

No, she doesn't, but I think that if you're going to take her out, you at least owe it to her to put as much effort into it as she will. Which is why I came over, since I don't think I've seen you wear anything other than jeans and a white shirt.

[ A brief pause. ]

I suppose you can keep your shirt open though. [ She's like 105% sure Blake is into that, so she won't stop that or make him wear a tie. ]

But we are definitely going shopping.

[Sun is the one that calls people losers around here, okay? Shopping? Sun thought he had that out of the way already when he bought this shirt. But..Weiss might be right. Maybe he should put forth a little effort with his appearance for Blake's sake.]

I was just planning to take her to a sushi restaurant in the Tokyo sub-archway. I don't know how dressy I really need to be to do something like that.

[whiteas]

I'm not saying you have to wear a 8,000 lien suit, I'm just saying that you need to step it up for your first date. Get your wallet.

[ She'll help if it's a little pricy, but Sun's at least paying for some of his own clothes. ]

[He sighs and goes over to his nightstand and grabs his wallet.]

So where are we going to do this shopping? Vale?

[whiteas]

Wherever you want to go shopping. She's not dating me, she's dating you. I'm just here to quality check.

[monkeystowaway]

[She says that, but she is the one that shoved him into putting forth this kind of effort.]

I guess we can go to the store here in Genessia city.

[whiteas]

Which one?

[ Because if he says a grocery store or convenience store on those racks next to the greeting cards she's just going to drag him to Vale despite what she said... ]

[Please, Weiss. He has more taste than that.]

I think there is a merchant by all the fruit vendors that sells clothes. [Did she mean for them to go to an actual store?]

Let me put it this way, Sun: Blake is going to look absolutely stunning when you see her. Do you really want to show her that the effort you want to put in to impress her on your first date, the date that is meant to be to really show off to the person you want to date to make them think that you believe they're worth all the effort in the world, is a pair of pants from a person whose cash register is a box that they keep on their carpet while they fend off fruit flies?

[Don't give him that look, Weiss. Though..she does have a really good point. Dammit, Weiss.]

...Okay. We are going to the store in the Vale archway where I get my pants tailored.

[whiteas]

Good decision.

[ She's heading back toward the door. ] What's your favorite color by the way?

[monkeystowaway]

[He follows her, though he raises an eyebrow at that question.] Hmm. Red I guess. Blue might be a close second.

[whiteas]

Well, you're going to look weird if you wear red pants, so we're going to go with some nice dark blue slacks.

[ She'll make sure to mention to Blake that Sun's favorite color is blue too, that way Blake can wear some blue with whatever she's wearing.. Weiss continues to head toward Vale, walking at a relaxed pace. ]

I wasn't planning on wearing red pants. [Sun couldn't think of many situations where he would wear them. Or any where he might actually be able to pull off that look.]

You just want to pick out all of my clothes for me? Because that seems to be what you are doing.
