[ Granted, Weiss wasn't actually an expert at dating. Not even close. But now that she was one of the people who at least had a successful relationship thus far meant that she could at least take the position of someone who knew more than Blake and Sun did. Not the most impressive logic, but she'd seen enough movies to know how this was supposed to go and if what she knew about Sun said anything, he was probably going to skip wearing anything beyond an open shirt and jeans.

It was a travesty that something had to be done about.

Besides, she had to find out what his favorite color was, so she might as well peek her nose in while she's there anyway. ]

I think there is a merchant by all the fruit vendors that sells clothes. [Did she mean for them to go to an actual store?]

Let me put it this way, Sun: Blake is going to look absolutely stunning when you see her. Do you really want to show her that the effort you want to put in to impress her on your first date, the date that is meant to be to really show off to the person you want to date to make them think that you believe they're worth all the effort in the world, is a pair of pants from a person whose cash register is a box that they keep on their carpet while they fend off fruit flies?

...Okay. We are going to the store in the Vale archway where I get my pants tailored.

[He follows her, though he raises an eyebrow at that question.] Hmm. Red I guess. Blue might be a close second.

Well, you're going to look weird if you wear red pants, so we're going to go with some nice dark blue slacks.

[ She'll make sure to mention to Blake that Sun's favorite color is blue too, that way Blake can wear some blue with whatever she's wearing.. Weiss continues to head toward Vale, walking at a relaxed pace. ]

I wasn't planning on wearing red pants. [Sun couldn't think of many situations where he would wear them. Or any where he might actually be able to pull off that look.]

You just want to pick out all of my clothes for me? Because that seems to be what you are doing.

I'm not picking them out for you, I'm making suggestions. If you want to go buy pants that smell like week old peaches, I can't stop you.

Well you have a better eye for this sort of stuff than me. I never had to wear anything fancy. Vacuo isn't a fancy dress kind of place.

[whiteas]

[ Anyway- ] I still want you to be the one to pick out the clothes, then I'll just say yes or no. That way you learn and you still picked them out so if Blake asks, you don't have to say that I dressed you.

[He doesn't really want to learn, Weiss.]

Did you help Blake pick out her clothes or is she doing that herself?

She's doing that herself.

[ Weiss has faith in Blake's ability to dress appropriate to circumstances. ]

[Weiss trusts Blake to do it herself, but not Sun? Well..Weiss is kind of right in not trusting him, given what he was planning to wear.]

Have you seen what dresses she might wear?

Why such secrecy? I'm not asking you to like, tell me exactly what it looks like. I just want to know if you have seen it or not.

I haven't seen it, I'm just supposed to find out what your favorite color is.

Well that makes sense now. [He couldn't see why Weiss would have cared what his favorite color was.] Do you know what hers is?

[He assumes maybe black, but he couldn't be sure.]

Black. It's pretty obvious.

[ Speaking of, she's going to just text Blake really quickly. ]

[You shouldn't have done that, Weiss. He looks over her shoulder.]

Who you texting? Zuko? Telling him you want another public kiss from him?

[ She turns her phone screen off quickly, scoffing at him. ]

At least I'm getting kisses. I was texting Blake to tell her taste in men is questionable. [ She wasn't, but she's definitely going to narrow her eyes at Sun for that one. ]

The kiss was- well, yes, but that's because he likes to eat spicy food but it was nowhere near as spicy as the food he actually eats.
