[ Ever seen Weiss smiling this big for this long? No? Most people haven't.

But most people also haven't seen her with a little teacup maltese in her hands either. ]

Everyone, I want you to meet Frost. [ She's trying to keep calm but as she talks more, the less intelligible it seems.. ] He's going to be wiving with me forevew and evew and evew~ Yes he iiis~

[ She can't seem to even stop petting him long enough to turn the feed off, so enjoy nearly 30 seconds of this dog getting pampered to all hell by Weiss's fingers. ]

[Luke smiles politely. He hasn't met Weiss yet formally.]

By the way, my name is Luke. I don't think we've met before!

I'm Weiss.

[ Wait- ]

Are you the Luke that Blake wanted to let live with us whenever you needed it?

[ Because if so, he's already winning her over by being polite and loving her dog. ]

Ah! Miss Weiss!

[Luke smiles and nods enthusiastically.]

I think so, unless there's another Luke that she's met somewhere.

Just Weiss is acceptable.

[ It isn't like she wants to be friendly, but she likes getting called by just her name. The nicknames and variations do pile up sometimes. ]

I doubt she's met that many Lukes already.

[ She's hoping not anyway. ]

Okay! I'm sorry. The Professor says you should always use 'miss' or 'mister', but it seems like a lot of people here don't really like it.

[He ponders Weiss' response for a moment and then laughs. It's more of a giggle really, as he hasn't quite passed the age where giggles are a thing.]

I hope there aren't that many Lukes, or it will be hard to keep up.

It's a good philosophy to live by in professional situations, but since our conversation started about Frost, I don't think it's necessary.

[ She's not going to tell him not to be polite. ]

You're the only one I know, at least.

[Don't worry. Luke will find plenty of other ways to be polite.]

All good conversations should start with puppies! Someday I'd like to talk with Frost.

That's alright with me. Once he's trained properly, I'm sure he'd love to meet you. And if we get to know each other well enough that I know you're not going to kidnap my dog, we might be able to set up a dog-walking arrangement for any days I'm busy.

I promise I won't kidnap your dog, Weiss.

[He smiles sadly.] I don't think I could take care of a puppy alone anyway.

At least some day may I come play with him?

Yes, you can. He's very friendly, so I'm sure he'll like you.

That would be nice! Thank you.

Can you give him some pets for me?

Of course.

[ She holds Frost up in her arms and starts petting him intensely, smiling brightly the whole time. ]

[Luke leans into the camera so he can see, and even waves at the puppy.]

Hello Frost! I hope I get to meet you soon!

[When Weiss lowers the puppy from the screen, Luke smiles sleepily at her.] It's getting kind of late, Miss Weiss. It's been very nice meeting you but I think I ought to go for now.

[ Frost barks when he hears his name. He's clearly getting used to the name. Weiss looks up from the puppy when he says he should go and Weiss nods. ]

Oh! Of course. See you later, Luke.

[ Weiss has cleared the rest of her day for puppy time, so she wasn't even bothered by how long they'd been talking. She hadn't noticed until Luke said something. ]
