So this is my first year here. Don't really know what you blokes do about Holidays, but do you all celebrate Halloween round' here?

Its a thing back in my world for those of you that might not have it in theirs. It's celebrated on the 31st of October. People dress up in costume and go trick or treating.

Trick or treating is when people go door to door and knock and say "Trick or Treat". The person in the house usually has a bowl of candy and they give some out to everyone that comes to their door all dressed up. There is more to the tradition than that, but it's the way most celebrate it. If you want to know more, pick up a book.

And typically, it's kids that usually go trick or treating. Teens and adults sometimes go to parties instead, be it a costume party or a Masquerade party.

What I'm asking about is if people do the latter here. Been years since I celebrated it, but a party could be fun. Anyone know if one is thrown here?

I wasn't planning on it. I wanted to see if anyone in the city was doing something. I've never thrown a party or event in my life. [He'd help out, though.]

Well, I suppose we should go to each city and check for any parties hosted by the rulers of each city, right? That's the way to go after all.

[Because that's what Halloween is in her world. Although the story behind this holiday is different the ideas of things are the same.]

Yeah. I'm pretty sure it's not called Nightmare Night. People are probably given Nightmares on that night though spending on what they do.

It is a rather scary holiday, I must admit. I don't usually go outside during it.

[Nope, she stays cooped up in her home and never answers the door because you know....that night is scary.]

But I hope it doesn't give people nightmares.

Some people like going out and being frightened. There are some that put up haunted houses and invite people in for that very reason.

Because they get a rush from it. At least as long as there is no real danger to them.

That's very confusing, bu-but I guess I won't judge. If people have fun, I suppose that's okay. So long as I'm never involved.

I do not, I don't like anything scary and try my best to avoid it if I can/ It's why I keep inside during Nightmare Night. Keep my lights off as well so people don't come and ring the bell with their scary costumes.

So that's what your plans are for the 31st here? Even if there is a big party you are going to close yourself up in your place? Because that seems lonely.

That is right. It's not lonely as I have my friends.

N-No one has made mention of anything like that. But it doesn't mean you can't throw one.

Have people just not been thinking of Halloween around here? You'd think someone would have started planning something already.

I think people have been more focused on other things right now to consider it.

I know I've had a lot of work I've needed to do.

And what kind of work have you been doing?

I know there was something going on with a small group of people having to to rescue someone, so of course they were pretty busy.

Others had to get a school up and running so that would take a lot of time to be able to do. Since people come from different worlds I believe the excuse of not even knowing the holiday would be an excuse.

There are plenty of reasons, it just depends on the person.

And I Didn't know about there being a school here. So someone not native to this world actually thought to open one up?

That's right. Someone has made one, which I believe will be a good thing.

As of yet, I'm not sure. They're still finishing things off and getting people to join. But I do know who runs it. A wonderful lady named Satsuki Kiryuin.

I've had the pleasure of meeting her. But if you don't mind my asking, what makes you say she is wonderful?

B-Because she has helped me out a lot in helping me get stronger and be less timid than what I was when I first arrived.

She just has her ways that I can't really explain.

It's not problem. Yeah, I've met her briefly.

I'm not entirely sure. He I couldn't get a good read on her when we spoke.

You deal with people like her enough, and you can get better at reading their intentions through their words and actions. I mean, If I really wanted to I can just go and read her mind since I am a telepath, but I'm not sure it needs to come to that.

It's about Samhein. He's a very powerful demon you see. He's been alive for thousands of years and took a nap for the past 200 years so no one remembers.

People feared when he walked the earth. Because when he did, it meant everyone would die. He'd eat all of them. The only way to save the children would be to wear masks. They also left sweets outside to appease Samhein.

That, is Halloween.
