[Blake can't help but smile a little bit at the fruit baskets, even while she rolls her eyes a bit when he snatches a banana from one. Well, it was him.]

I hope that wasn't from mine.

[His fruit thieving ways aren't much of a secret to her, he assumes.]

Going to take it back if it is?

[Well, yes. At this point, she'd start to get suspicious if she didn't see Sun running around with an armload of pilfered produce.]

I might.

[She hesitates for a heartbeat before walking up to him and holding out the wrapped box she'd been carrying behind her back.]

Um, here. I wasn't sure what to get you, but I thought I should pick something. Even if only as a thank you.

[This is a bit surprising.]

Blake, you didn't have to get me anything you know. [He tucks the banana away into his pocket and takes the box that she is holding out. He opens it up and smiles brightly when he sees what is inside.]

Worried that I might nearly freeze to death again if another blizzard strikes?

[She steps back a bit, watching him open the present and maybe her smile grows a little bit when she sees that he likes it.]

Well, it is still cold out, and you didn't exactly come prepared for the winter weather.

[That should be enough of an answer for both.]

[He's totally going to bundle up in all of his new winter wear.] Getting me winter clothes, coming out into a blizzard to get me. I really owe you big time.

[He'd better. Now he has no excuse for being out in the cold.

She shakes her head.]

You don't owe me anything.

[It was Christmas after all.]

Are you sure? Because I have a gift certificate to a pizza place. I was thinking that when I used it, I could pay you back by splitting a pizza with you.

[She glances to the side for a second, tilting her head a bit as if in thought.]

Well, I suppose I can accept that.

[He might end up with more than half a pizza to eat though.]

[Even if he gets anchovies on half of it?]

I thought you might.

[Hey, she might actually like those.]

Really? I'd hoped I wasn't getting that predictable.

[She's very mysterious and quiet. She swears.]

[Quiet, he could believe. But perhaps not the mysterious part.]

Maybe not so much as you are getting predictable, but more so I am getting good at reading you.

[... It might be a little frustrating how he keeps throwing off her mystery groove, yes. Especially while managing to be so difficult for her to figure out at the same time.]

I suppose I'll have to watch out for that.

[She's gotta maintain some of that mystery at least.]

[He's not doing it on purpose, it's just something that is coming naturally to him.]

So you moving in here with the rest of your team? Yang mentioned that there was chance it could happen.

[He could at least be a little thrown off.]

I think so. I've been staying here for the past few weeks anyway, but we might need to move to one of the larger apartments. Especially now that Weiss is here.

[Unless they split up the rooms and bring back the bunk beds. Which was a~~n amazing~~ terrible idea in the first place.]

[Where would be the fun in that for him?]

I would have thought you guys could fit comfortably in here. Yang had mentioned to me that there were some vacant apartments here, so I might end up moving into one here once I have the money.

[So inconsiderate.]

[But, speaking of throwing off the mystery, her bow rustles a bit as the ears hidden beneath it perk up in interest when he mentions taking an apartment in the building.]

Oh. Well... there are a lot of empty apartments in here. Even on this floor.

[What a coincidence that Yang happened to mention that. Wow.]

[Yep. Totally a coincidence that Yang mentioned that. She's not up to anything at all.] There really isn't a reason for me not to get a place here once I have the money.

It would feel a little strange, though. I don't think I've ever lived in a place as nice as this. [But..getting to be close to Blake as well as some other familiar couldn't be all bad.]

[What could she ever be up to?]

It is a little strange. [She folds her hands behind her back and leans back against the wall beside the tree.] I've never lived in a place like this either. Aside from Beacon but a dormitory room isn't quite the same.

[She glances around before giving him a small grin and lowering her voice a bit.]

Actually, before Ruby and Yang arrived I was only planning to stay here for a few days until somebody came along looking for rent.
