[ It's impossible to tell what's going on at first - the video feed seems to be whirling about rapidly, the audio picking up nothing but the sound of rushing air. The motion stops briefly as a hand darts into view, only to begin the process anew - anyone sharp enough to figure it out will realize the person on the other end is literally tossing their video phone up into the air repeatedly, catching it just to toss it again. It's after about thirty seconds of this that it finally stops entirely, giving a view of nothing but a pair of boots... boots which seem to have some weapon-like attachments.

A long, melodramatic sigh... ]

Well! This is a pain, isn't it.

[ A brief flip of the videophone reveals Mercury's face, wearing a relatively unfazed smirk. ]

Don't waste your breath explaining what's going on - I've done my homework. I guess all I have to say is that you can call me Mercury, and... let's all get along, mmkay?

[ There's a widening of his smirk into a grin, and it's hard to tell whether he's being mocking or genuine in his greeting. ]

--Ah, and if I'm not mistaken, I think I even sort of know some of you. Lucky me! Us trainees gotta stick together.

I guess we don't have to worry about him here, but I've heard there's other issues. Granted, I doubt there's any place... or world... that doesn't have their own problems.

Not yet, anyway. For all we know, he could pop up just the same as we did.

[Ruby can only shrug to that. The vigilante justice bit is questionable, but as long as he wasn't causing trouble to those people who didn't deserve it? It was hard to really have a standpoint when she barely knew him.]

Of course that changes if he's putting innocent people in harm's way at the time! A Huntsman's duty is to protect others, after all, even if we are still in training.

[ He might as well keep gathering information - if anyone else on his team shows up he'd like to be ready to bring them up to speed, after all. ]

No, not really. I just got here not too long ago.

From the sound of things, some people have been here quite a while. Doesn't exactly make the idea of breaking free sound too promising.

No... It really doesn't. I'm sure something will pop up eventually if we keep trying though.

If everyone can take a step back from their oh-so-busy social lives to put some effort into it, perhaps.

I guess I can't speak from experience, but I'm sure people are trying. Why not make the best of it while we're here, though?

You're right! We've been effortlessly whisked away en masse without warning, but let's have a grand old time!

I'm not saying to not try to find a way out, but in the mean time we're going to have stay here. If I have to stay somewhere that has no way out, I'd rather not stress myself out.

[ To be honest he's not going to put much effort into it at all, himself. He's just trying to goad other people into trying harder so he doesn't have to. ]

No way out yet. Not until we find it, and hanging out and going on dates isn't going to accomplish that.
