[ It's impossible to tell what's going on at first - the video feed seems to be whirling about rapidly, the audio picking up nothing but the sound of rushing air. The motion stops briefly as a hand darts into view, only to begin the process anew - anyone sharp enough to figure it out will realize the person on the other end is literally tossing their video phone up into the air repeatedly, catching it just to toss it again. It's after about thirty seconds of this that it finally stops entirely, giving a view of nothing but a pair of boots... boots which seem to have some weapon-like attachments.

A long, melodramatic sigh... ]

Well! This is a pain, isn't it.

[ A brief flip of the videophone reveals Mercury's face, wearing a relatively unfazed smirk. ]

Don't waste your breath explaining what's going on - I've done my homework. I guess all I have to say is that you can call me Mercury, and... let's all get along, mmkay?

[ There's a widening of his smirk into a grin, and it's hard to tell whether he's being mocking or genuine in his greeting. ]

--Ah, and if I'm not mistaken, I think I even sort of know some of you. Lucky me! Us trainees gotta stick together.

[ Her kindness is shrugged off almost immediately, but that last sentence gets his attention right back. ]

So... all of your experiences here didn't actually mean anything once you made it back, is what you're saying?

[ There's a brief, brief skeptical lowering of his eyebrows, his whole expression taking on a "suuuuuuure i believe you" kind of expression. It's not that he knows what she's trying to hide, but it's not hard to tell that there's something.

Good! At least he's not the only one with secrets.

His face returns to its default smugness a split second later. ]

And if it was a dream, I seriously have to reconsider what I eat before bed.

[Eeeeeeeeeee--! That look! He knows she's hiding something and he's going to figure it all out! He's going to know she's a Precure and that she went to the dream world and met all the other Precures and teamed up with them to fight a giant octopus made out of nightmares WHAT SHOULD SHE DOOOOO?!

Yes, all that in a split second. Megumi panics at hyperspace speeds. Ah, but it looks like he isn't going to keep questioning. She breathes a sigh of relief and then pasts on a slightly awkward smile.]

Ha-ha. Y-yeah, me too.

[Somewhere there is a team of scientists trying to invent a worse liar than Megumi. So far, all their attempts have been met with failure.]

[ As a person who is hiding something himself, Mercury is pretty good at spotting other people who are hiding something. And this Megumi girl is making it so obvious that she may as well hang a sign around her neck labeled "ASK ME ABOUT MY SECRET"

Buuuuuuuuuuuuut he doesn't really care. ]

I don't suppose you're actually looking for a way out, are you? It looks like half of the people here are just fine sitting on their haunches waiting to be let go.
