[Sun starts the video feed up and he can be seen in the Fayren forest. He’s in a tree surprise surprise and he’s got a crossbow propped up on a branch. It’s loaded with a large tranquilizer dart, because whatever he is hunting he obviously doesn’t want to kill.]

Three hours. I’ve been out here for three hours and the thing that I’m hunting hasn’t shown up yet. I should have brought a book or something. And if you know me, the fact that I said that should probably tell you how bored I am.

[A pause.]

Actually, that’s not true. All books aren’t boring. I actually read this one book that I bought in a sub-archway. After I heard about it, I had to check it out. There is this guy in it, one of the names he goes by is the Monkey King. He’s strong, fast, can transform into animals and objects. He’s a really skilled warrior.

And like I said before, he goes by the name the Monkey King, but his real name? Sun Wukong. The dude actually uses a staff too. You get bonus points if you can guess what his staff is called.

I’m feeling a mix of “this is weird” and “this is cool”. And yes Blake, you can borrow the book.

[ Sun shouldn't get a cool book about a guy who shares his name if she doesn't. Not that she's gone looking.. Now she's kind of curious though. If Sun isn't joking, anyway. ]

I don't know if it was a coincidence, but I can't say it's a stalker either. Because that would mean that I have a stalker from another world.

I didn't get it from the library, though. I picked it up from Tokyo. [It didn't even occur to him that it could possibly be in the library.]

So... You found a book about someone with your same name? Some civilizations in Hourai believe in reincarnation, but I've also read some books about alternate realities. If you really want to read something about that I know a few books...

Reincarnation, alternate realities, that sounds like it could be some complicated stuff. When people are reincarnated, do they usually still have the same name as their past self? [He might take her up on the offer of book suggestion, though.]

I didn't really read that far into it, I wasn't really encouraged to do so. But from what I read the name doesn't seem to matter as much as the skills and personality.

Well I think that I'm a lot like the one in the book. Minus some things. Like his insane levels of strength.

Parts of it. I wrote a paper on fairy tales and legends outside of Europe in high school.

Anime's cartoons, specifically cartoons that were made in Japan. They're really popular in the United States.

The whole thing was a good read. It's the only book I've ever really enjoyed reading. [Possibly because his name came up so many times.]

Oh. That's sort of weird that they aren't just still called cartoons. But I guess they must have their reasons. Is this anime stuff entertaining?
