2nd Steal // [Log]
Who: Rikku & You!
Where: Various places (besides Everglade)
Style: Starting in 3rd, but open to which ever. Most likely 1st though.
Warnings: Nothing at the moment besides Rikku possibly pick-pocketing you.
Ever since Yuna had been elected as City Guardian of Everglade, Rikku has obviously taken up the job of Deputy Guardian to help her cousin/best friend out. Unfortunately that also meant that Rikku had to keep her record clean from there on forward. She was more than happy to help out Yuna, just as she'd planned even when Yuna was just talking about if she had ran for City Guardian to her. She'd have her back, no matter what, but keeping from pick pocketing people and stealing was not that easy. It was in Rikku's nature to do so, after all....
What was a girl to do?
It was so hard to keep from doing so in Everglade, but Yuna never explicitly told her that she couldn't do it in any other city besides Everglade. And since that wasn't actually specified... She found herself in various places, pick pocketing various unknowing victims. To them, she just seemed like a bright, cheerful girl who was happy to help out or someone they "accidentally" bumped into.... Little did they know that she was filling her own pockets along the way.
"Oh, excuse me. I apologize for that," she said, maybe taking a wallet discreetly along the way. As if nothing happened, she continued onward.
Were you one of those victims? Or maybe you just happened to catch onto her?

Seeming to have not heard her comment, the waitress puts on a bright smile. "Alright! Follow me then!" she said as she grabbed two menus and led them to a booth. Once they were seated, she set the menus down.
"What can I start you guys out with? We have a great deal going on fo--" after a while, Rikku just tuned her out, looking at the drinks.
"I'll just take some water," she responded and then faced him, "I really don't think I'm that bad...."

“So what have you been doing since you arrived here? All I’ve done is look around this city and read up on a couple of things.”

"Well... I wasn't really doing too much. I mean, before Yunie became City Guardian, I sort of just did random jobs and did what I could. It's kind of nice to have an actual job to rely on though," she shrugged.
And then a thought came to her causing her to put her hands on her head. "Oh god! I forgot to get some food for Sparke. I hope he won't be too mad at me when I get home....," she thought out loud.
Yuna said she'd watch him when Rikku was out though... She didn't think she'd run into somebody that she knew. Otherwise she would have brought Sparke along in his pokeball... one way or another. And then realizing that he probably didn't know what she was talking about or the fact that she even said that came to her. "Yeah so uh.. I have a pet now. We're slowly starting to get along. At least he won't shock me all the time now...," but..... considering her mishap... she might come home to a shocking experience again.

“Sounds like you guys have had kind of an eventful time. Remind me to pick up some insulated gloves before I touch or pet whatever Sparke is.” He preferred being unshocked, thank you very much.
“I’ll have to find myself a job from what I know. I don’t think the money I have will last forever.” And Gippal didn’t want to hit a point where he was completely broke. Though if he did, he would just leech off of Rikku and Yuna for as long as he could until he got back on his feet or they stopped putting up with it.

"It's called a Pikachu originally, but I guess he's a Pokemon? I don't know. It was from somebody's world where these creatures were normal there. They were all over for a month and then only a few actually stuck around as pets," she explained.
"Well, I'm sure you could probably find something. If you really need the help, I'll do what I can to help, but that doesn't mean it's an all out 'mooch off of Rikku' ticket, okay?" she said, making that clear. Of course, she couldn't just let him starve either. Damn it, why do you have to be so good looking, Gippal? Why does she put up with you man..?

“I’ll be borrowing those then.” That or he just wouldn’t touching the thing at all. “Yeah, its kind of surprising for you to have a pet that can do that knowing your fears.” But he assumed this pet was small, so maybe it was actually good for her to have it? To help her get over her phobia and all.
“Really? You won’t let me mooch off you forever? Maybe I should try my chances with this waitress, then. She might not mind giving me an all out mooch ticket.” He was kidding, of course.
“I’m a capable guy, I know I’ll be fine. But you got any suggestions?” He was good with machines, maybe he could get a job working with those somehow. This place seemed to have quite a bit of them.

"I... Honestly don't know why I still have him. All I remember is demanding to know what kind of sick joke it was and how he'd follow me. I guess he grew on me somehow... He's still a little shit sometimes though....," she let out yet another sigh.
The waitress hurried over with their drinks, chipper as ever. "Have you guys decided what to eat? The Chicken Parmesan is to die for! Oh! Or how about some pie! We have the best pie around!"
Oh right... Something to eat... That's something they should have been looking for, "Oh uh... No, we'll need a few more minutes." Then she stopped for a moment. She knew he was joking.... probably...., "Oh and uh... Don't let strange men take advantage of you, okay?"
"No problemo! Just call me over when you're ready or I'll check up in a few minutes!" She said and then gave her a confused look. She must have decided it wasn't something to question since she went off on her way.
"No. In fact, after this, you'll have to buy your own food... And maybe something for me paying me back," she said. Even if she said it, she still probably wouldn't mind helping him out deep down. "You could possibly do something with engineering? Or just like doing a repair shop or something," she suggested, glancing at her menu in front of her finally.

“I think between the two of us, she thinks you are the strange one.” Gippal was probably going to go with that Chicken Parmesan thing that the waitress brought up. It didn’t sound terrible. And maybe some pie to go along with it for dessert.
“I guess I could buy some food for you when I have a job. “ A second

"E's hud dra cdnyhka uha rana yht uoi ghuf ed," she said promptly, not bothering to translate. Why should she? He knows what she's saying, after all.
After looking over the menu, nothing of interest particularly popped out. Might as well go with the suggestion. Clearly that perky waitress had good marketing skills.
"I'm going to hold you to it," she said pointing that out. Nothing wrong with a second
dateouting with a friend after all. Attraction is totally not the issue here.
