Okay, so what was with that video last week, anyway? It sure looked convincing, but this isn't the first time someone in this place has tried to screw us all up and make us doubt things we should be over already.

Five whatever-this-currency's-called says Lucifer-san's behind this again. If I'm wrong, then my city guardian's working for a beefy military dude who I guess wants to take over the world, and that we can deal with.

Based on previous behavior Lucifer appears to enjoy being the 'star' of chaotic events. While it is reasonable to guess that this could be his doing, I think his involvement would be indirect in this case; if at all.

[Satsuki seems less Secretly Evil than Kano's always maintained, so maybe she should be trusted on this. Besides, someone would probably have noticed if she were hypnotizing kids en masse.]

[Though really, Satsuki was expecting Kano to at least be suspicious of her.]

The voice does not sound familiar, and I haven't the slightest idea how he managed to obtain such authentic-looking footage. If it is technology from this world then maybe that could be a clue.

The other issue is that I cannot be certain what their goal is. What could they possibly gain from having the current Guardians overthrown?

And yes, although Attleton's process is still underway. [An annoyed sigh passes her lips.] I suppose we just do not have enough information to form anything even remotely conclusive right now.

The video screen flickers on, a silver haired woman appearing. She seemed to be sitting in a straight backed chair, frowning a little bit.

"I've heard tell of this Lucifer and what he's done. I cannot confirm the validity of these videos but this lacks the bombastic nature of Lucifer's other deeds. It is likely simple slander against those who have risen recently to power. With magic and technology I don't doubt something like that would be easy to manufacture."

She shifted a little. "As for the man in the military uniform... I have met him. He has little concept of subtlety or elegance, however he is hardened and not a fool. As such it makes me doubt the validity of any of these claims. To allow himself to be observed so perfectly seems almost scripted. This, among other events, has put me on edge."

Before he went blowing up the city, he was a beauty pageant judge whose questions picked at people's old issues and tried to reopen the ones they'd already healed. It could still be him.

I don't know, but anyone would have to be stupid to believe that kind of stuff. Really, if you're going to pop up with a journalistic revelation, at least report regular news for a while to build your credibility if you want everyone to believe a bunch of crap like that.

Honestly, I don't know the individuals in question, but that exaggerated comic villainy is a little hard to take seriously, don't you think?

Yuna-san's too nice to do that. Kiryuuin-san, I normally would suspect was brainwashing kids, but lately I'm not sure she's that bad.

So either someone's playing a bad joke, or trying to discredit the Guardians.
