Two | Action/Accidental Video

[Spirit has been doing his best to behave, spending the vast majority of his time working or exploring the city. Generally, this has gone on completely without incident--barring a few run-ins with unsavory folk, he's been doing all right for himself.

Today, however, is not that day. It's already late when the video feed turns on. There isn't any image, just a black screen and quiet scuffing. The phone is still in his pocket.]

S'...h-hey. S'not even that late yet!

Look pal, you've been here for ages and you've had enough. Get out. Go home or something, I don't care.

[A door opens and slams. Any passers-by near Jack's Bar would be greeted with one intoxicated Deathscythe being tossed off the premises.

It's only a few moments later that the phone is fished out of his pocket. Anyone watching is greeted with a frowning face.]

Ah, shit...sorry.

[With that, the feed abruptly turns off.]

[ooc: feel free to run into Spirit along any part of this misadventure, from before he's kicked out to on his way home!]

[Fai had been walking home from another bar when he saw someone being kicked out of another bar he was pretty sure he hadn't seen before. He paused for a moment before choosing that time to speak up.]

Did you drink too much?

I didn't drink too much.

[To an extent that's probably true. He's definitely been drinking, but he remains in possession of all faculties. ~~Mostly~~]

Bartender just wanted me out. I wasn' even doing anything.

[Well he had to assume there was a reason, but he wasn't going to ask at all as there was no point.]

So a bartender kicked you out for no reason... alright, so then it means you should go home. But I have to admit I have no idea where you live.

Technically he cut me off.

[The cool autumn air is clearing his head somewhat, and he sighs.]

I actually didn't do anythin'. He said I was sulking too much an' to get out.

That would bring own people at a bar, so I guess it does explain it.

[He just smiles for a moment before changing his expression to one more sympathetic.]

What got you down anyway?

Long story. And complicated.

[He sighs and glances away.]

[He gives a small smile.]

I don't think there will ever be enough alcohol to talk about certain things and I say that as a lover of alcohol.

[It was something that was delicious depending on where one got it from, but even he knew it wouldn't help.]

Now which way is your home?

[He chuckles, because laughter is easier than confronting what's got him in such a state.]

Fin'ly, someone else gets it.

[But at the mention of home, he thinks of the conversation he's just had with his roommate and shakes his head slowly.]

Thinkin' 'm not ready for home yet, but I live by the library.

[Live by the library... He never would have imagined that to say the least, but he did say he wasn't ready to go home yet, so he had to think of something else to take him to.]

Alright, so I'll take you somewhere else first until you are ready. [With that he makes sure the guy is steady on his feet. He wondered if he was like this when he was drunk that one time in a virtual world.]

Though I do admit, I get a lot of things you'd be surprised.

Mm...lotsa' people seem to feel like they ought to press.

[Unspoken is his appreciation for Fai not pressing the issue. As previously stated, he was just not drunk enough to spill that story to a stranger.]

There's a park by my apartment building. Probably as good a place as any, seein' as it's almost midnight.

[The park... He believes he knows where that is at least, so that was a good thing. Being sure to be careful while helping he started to walk.]

I guess the park is always a good place to go when you don't want to go home. It's quiet and most [people don't go to parks at night for whatever reason.

[He just didn't get the reason sometimes.]

Mos' people think parks are creepy after dark.

[He shrugs. Spirit worked day in and day out with the things most people found creepy and as such he generally was nonplussed by them. The park was simply another such instance.]

Don't think I've got your name. Goin' to need't' have it to properly thank you later.

That makes sense, it does give off that creepy feeling.

[Not that he minded thing being spooky, he was use to oddities after all.]

Only if y'arent't used to it. I don' find much creepy these days. Especially not parks.

Your welcome. I know that people in this kind of situation need help and someone to be there. otherwise it might not be pleasant.

[He knew when he and the others were drunk during that one time, Kurogane had a lot of problems dealing with him and Sakura alone. At least in this case it's one guy and he isn't that bad.]

Besides, I doubt there will be anything in the park, unless I've jinxed us.

[Rest assured that Spirit is glad for the help, Fai. Or, more importantly, the company.]

Nah. People'r home by now usually. If I can' sleep I go down for a walk there sometimes and 's empty.

[He tilts his head and sighs.] Though the way m'luck has been lately...guess y'never know.

[He made sure he was kept upright at least for now while keeping an eye out for the park. He was pretty sure it was getting closer by now.]

Not having a good luck day or something, I guess. Those happen sometimes. But you never know the next day might get better.

Not havin' much luck lately. Why else would I be kicked out for sulkin' in a bar?

[The scythe stuffs his hands into his pockets and shrugs.]

I'm not against optimism, but 's not really my best skill.

[It wasn't his either if he had to admit it, but he keeps that part to himself.]

Well... We're here at least. [They had reached the park, which was always a good thing at least. It was nice and quiet.]

Do you want to go to the bench?

Sure, why not.

[He can sit on the bench alone and think--and sulk, probably, after Fai eventually goes home. It is late, after all. It's also cold, but he says none of that as the chill is sobering him up, and sinks onto the bench.]

Thanks for the company, Fai. I...do 'ppreciate it.

I'm just glad I can glad I can help for once.

[Though he wasn't sure how else he could help. Should he leave him alone, or not? He was not use to this kind of situation and had no idea of what to do.]

I can't imagine you not bein' helpful, seein' as you've helped a stranger back to his apartment.

[He tilts his head back and looks up at the sky absent-mindedly.]

I could say that for many others, but we never know.

[But that could just be him really. He pauses as she glances up. The sky seemed clear enough and was good to look at.]

I was in the middle of going to a bar myself though. I decided against that.

[He blinks at the stars, admiring the brightness of the moon. At least here it's a cool silver--as opposed to home, where it's become a rather ominous looking black orb that Spirit still fretted over.]

Well, I 'ppreciate it.

[She smiled slightly. His eyes looking from one star to another. he never really had the time to look at such things before, so it made for a nice change for the meantime.]

If you ever want me to leave, just let me know.
