NEWSPAPER - BIWEEKLY EDITION  


[Did you subscribe to The Genessia Tribune? Did you even remotely wish you had a newspaper or some other form of media to refer to for news, weather, and current events? Then you're in luck! There's a paperboy riding through the streets of Genessia flinging newspapers onto doorsteps or, if you're unlucky, through your window. Even remote locations in the other cities will still get a paper if one of the residents ever wanted one. The Paperboy is just that dedicated.]

[And if you're one of the following people, and you happen to subscribe to the newspaper, the Paperboy may or may not have flung the newspaper through that person's window, at the person, and/or broke something in the area: Mikaela Banes, Rapunzel, Thea queen , Jack Harkness, Cassian Andor, Satou Kuroneko, Cecil Palmer, Rose Tyler, The Doctor (10th, 11th).

The following people have their newspaper placed neatly on their doorsteps: Dray Lyell, Izuku Midoriya .

[ OOC: Want to submit anything to the newspaper? Reply to the Submissions For The Next Paper thread and include any information you want to be sure is in next Sunday's newspaper! This includes news, gossip, singles ads, business advertisements, job listings, bounties, and anything else you want in the newspaper.

FOR BOUNTIES: Reply to the Bounties Claim Thread with either a claim or a log (every 3 claims must include a log). Feel free to team up, or even fail to deliver the bounty. Please note that whoever goes after the bounty is in charge of writing the NPCs involved,but feel free to ask the mod for any tips if you like. First come first serve on claims unless you haven't turned in a log for every 3 bounties. ]

[Anastasia comes onto the network bright-eyed and bushy-tailed wearing her school uniform and looking ready for a fulfilling day of learning. Except it's Sunday. And she was sitting at her vanity desk like she was at school.]

Good morning, everyone.

Just one more day until I attend my first day at school, and I was wondering if anyone can help me get prepared for it.

All I ask is to be quizzed on anything in Genessia.

[She's just so excited to be locked away in a classroom all summer and not get any time to play for who knows how long.]

[Action] 2nd Sortie  
Who: The Tenno of Naramon and YOU
What: Martial arts practice
Where: Genessia park
Warnings: None so far

It was a strange sight to see. A ray like ship trimmed with gold and shining brightly. It swooped down over one part of Genessia park before turning and flying up much higher and out of reach. It had dropped a certain individual off.

The Tenno of Naramon was there in an open area of the park. She had switched her frames to one with a far more aggressive look, trailing several ribbons with a sash that looked almost etherial. Like Nyx, this one was trimmed with gold. She was practicing her martial arts, flowing from one style to another, occasionally incorporating the claw-like weapons she was currently sporting. Beyond that she had some sort of sidearm on her hip, but no larger weapon on her back. At least none that were apparent.

Off to one side sat a massive dog-like creature with pointed ears and covered in armor. Easily four feet tall at the shoulder with massive paws and a jaw strong enough to bite through armor, this was unquestioningly a beast designed for war and battle... though at the moment it was rolling around on its back making happy gurgling noises.

[Hikari appears on-screen looking part exasperated, part concerned.  Although, after a momentary internal struggle, the exasperation appeared to win out as she began her broadcast with a heavy sigh.]

I'm sorry, but...does anybody in Genessia have an idea on how to get a Pokemon out of a tree?

[And in the event anyone suspected she was joking or speaking in metaphors, she briefly panned the camera of her device over just enough to see...sure enough, that was definitely Abra hanging out in one of the higher branches.  Looking far more tense than usual as it alternated between looking down from his right to his left.]

He was practicing his teleporting, and...I think he's stuck up there.



ACTION

[Anyone walking by the local park at that particular moment will come across a rather strange sight; a young girl just shy of 15 would be aiming her camera up at a nearby tree, snapping several pictures before smiling sheepishly.]

What?  It was a cute moment.

[Is she...talking to the tree?]

[Oh, wait, no; upon closer inspection, there appeared to be a little Abra sitting atop one of the higher branches.  Far beyond her reach, but not too far for her to call up to him.]

Maybe next time, you'll be more careful instead of trying to show off.

[It had been some time since Mai made her presence known over the network.  Time for her to settle in, so to speak.  Adjust to a more peaceful life, where she had a bed to be slept in nightly.  Food readily available without having to scavenge.  Friends and the closest thing she had to a 'family' nearby.  More of whom continued to arrive the longer she was here.]

[Somehow, all of that was stranger to her than the idea of being 'trapped' in an alternate universe.]

I was wondering...  [A pause, and she pressed her lips together in thought.  Knowing exactly what she wanted to ask, but attempting the most diplomatic means of phrasing her question.]  ...if there were any current prevailing theories or ongoing experiments with regards to the means of time travel and inter-dimensional transport that seems to be responsible for bringing so many individuals from so many different worlds and points in time here?

[A conversation that had begun with a select few, and was perhaps more interesting to her at this time than...almost anything else.  For all her years as the head commander of Earth's resistance force, her scientific mind had never wavered.]


ACTION

[Mind lost in thought, the (apparently) young woman could be found walking the streets of Genessia later that morning, pausing just long enough to collect herself a copy of the local newspaper.]

[She'd been hearing some very interesting stories about a certain paperboy as of late, and as such, was hesitant to subscribe to the delivery service...but deemed the information located within to be important enough to still seek out each issue.  Even if it meant taking a seat on a nearby bench and reading in public, rather in the privacy of the residence she currently shared with Bulma and the others.]

Let's see...weather...horoscopes...bounties?
