First Ice Cream Cone | Video | Action
* She's playing with her device, tossing it up and catching it, staring at it all the while. She doesn't say much, she she smirks, throwing it up again only to catch it.
The view, besides her, just seems to be the city of Genessia and the top of a rather lace ridden umbrella twirling in her hands.
Catching it one last time, she looks around with multicolored eyes looking more amused than anything.
One more glance at her device, she wiggles her fingers in a 'hello' gesture before turning it abruptly off. *

action;
Do you think if that would have dropped... it would have broken? I wonder, then, how you would have contacted anyone else.
These strange devices seem rather fragile.
action;
Blinks and gives a small shrug before turning her wrist to drop it with little to no care in the world.
It topples down with a clank but eh, sadly it doesn't look like it's broken. *
action;
I must admit, I'm curious as to what sort of magic these devices hold.
action;
Turning her umbrella, it folds up and she uses the blunt end to point and poke at the device. With another shrug, she gives it a smack hard enough to flip it up in the air where she catches it to examine it closely again.
Eeeh, it's boring when things don't break. *
action;
Fascinating, it's as though it's been bound by another force entirely, all in an attempt to make us interact.
action;
She tosses it back up in the air, catching it only to look bored by the fact it won't break.
Drags her glance back over him with another shrug at his monologue of words. She doesn't seem too fascinated by it, it's just a toy at the moment. *
action;
Why do you not talk?
action;
No need for words when you're in a business of following orders and killing who needs to be killed.

Mercury here. Tread lightly, sweet stuff. Our hero buddies are afoot.
Text || Private
Anyone from our trope other than you?
Text || Private
That sulky white fang guy Adam's around. I'm not sure how much team goody two shoes knows about him, but for right now my cover is still intact as a perfectly innocent student so we should keep our talks private from here on out until that changes.
Text || Private
As for the White Fang member. He's not needed. Dead weight fulfilling the purpose.
Text || Private
Maybe so! Probably so tbh, but we're pretty sorely outnumbered right now. We might need all the help we can get if push comes to shove.
Text || Private
Their strength is compassion in one another. Break that and they'll all fall like a house of cards.
I figured you might enjoy these little mind games so who better than you to do it what with your reputation hardly preceding you here.
Text || Private
They're the epitome of disgustingly affectionate BFFs as far as I've been able to observe
Besides, I'm pretty sure some of them don't like me already. I may not have made a stellar first impression on all of them. We may be better off just biding our time - If a couple more of our gang show up it'll be enough.
heck if cinder shows up we can all rest easy
Text || Private
You're not exactly the most pleasant to deal with upon first meetings. Or second meetings.
Or third.
If Cinder shows up, she'll be wanting a full report on those 'affectionate BFFs'.
Text || Private
but subtle manipulation is more of Emerald's forte than mine
and don't lie - i'm starting to grow on you
but don't worry - those idiots don't seem to make ANYTHING private. It's easy enough to eavesdrop in on them and keep tabs for now
Text || Private
Sounds particularly boring but, information is information.
Text || Private
Oh it's mind-numbingly boring. If they ramble on about their stupid dog one more time I'm going to be tempted to kidnap it and throw it in the nearest body of water with a weight around its neck
Text || Private
Where do you live? I'm using your bed since I refuse to degrade to sleeping on anything less.
Text || Private
IDK if it'll live up to your standards, since I'm staying at literally the cheapest motel i could find for now
but if you want to share by all means what's mine is yours or whatever
Text || Private
That's worse than the disgusting underground. I absolutely refuse to be in something filthy like that.
I'll break in to a high class fancy hotel if I must but I refuse to degrade to that.
Text || Private
I'm not really that picky when it comes to sleeping, I mean I could find a pile of sticks comfortable enough to sleep on if they're arranged just right
but hey it's your call what you do
for the record though it's honestly not that bad, i've definitely stayed at worse
Text || Private
I'll be the judge of that then. If it's anything like what I'm imagining then I refuse to remain in something decrepit.
Text || Private
I think it's heavenly
[ Attached to this message are directions to the motel because i haven't decided exactly where it is shhhh ]
Text || Private
*Reaching said motel she can't help but already feel her fingers grossly covered in things. With a wince, she taps on the door with the pick of her umbrella.*
Action || Private
What else does it have to be, really? ]
I'd say "make yourself at home", but I think you'd do that regardless.

Coming in to the house, she takes a handkerchief from her sleeve and lays it on the single chair since who knows what's everywhere else. *
no subject
You look so distraught! I'm still undercover, you realize, so I have to keep a low profile.
[ He motions to the room around them ] Doesn't get much lower than this.
no subject
She gives an awkward of slight disgust but understanding but still makes no move to touch things, even with gloves on her hands.
Using her device, she at least writes notes on it rather than sending them in case any should happen to slip and end up for all to see.*
How long have you been in less than habitable area?
no subject
Aboooooout ten days or so, and it's... well, it's something else alright. How much've you heard about this place so far? It's a real doozy.
no subject
Simply gives a shrug and rolls her wrist, dismissing the package but she glances up at him, waiting for him to elaborate on that 'doozy'. *
no subject
Well, first things first - near as I can tell, we're stuck. Pretty firmly, too, since from the sound of things there are some people who have been here for over a year with no luck whatsoever. So I hate to say it, but we may have to settle in here for a bit.
Or, you know! Several bits.
no subject
Clearly they're going to need a bigger and nicer place if they're expected to stay here for an extended amount of time.
Gives a sigh and curls her fingers around the curve of her umbrella, wrinkling her nose since it's odd to be trapped there without the bosses. What the heck are they even suppose to do other than watch boring and annoying people. Sounds booooring. *
no subject
Relax, it's only a temporary hold. I figure it's probably a matter of time until my cover's blown anyway, so I'll have to find a place that's hidden way better than this.
[ He takes a moment to step towards the bed, falling flat on his back against it with a quiet grunt before continuing. ]
Until then, I'm gonna just keep my eyes on my Beacon buddies and wait it out. No clue what you're gonna do, though.
no subject
Alas, the day has been long, and since her last memories were of an utter failure, she really does want nothing more than to sleep this awful nightmare away.
Sitting up from the table, she goes over to the bed before shoving the tip of it to his side. Ladies first, Mercury. You can have the floor and keep night watch on those friends of yours. All which she conveys with a point of her finger to the floor. *
no subject
If you want to take the bed, that's fine - but fork over your share of the cost of the room first. Unlike you I've got to keep my criminal record to a minimum for now, and that's not free.
[ A pause, a little smug quirk of his lips, and he adds: ]
Unless you want to share it.
no subject
Her jabs to his side get a little more rough, not so much a nice little tap. Now she's just trying to shove him out of the bed but why does everyone have to be so much taller than her. She's strong, but her strength lies in the art of redirecting energy in her fighting. Passive aggressive, if you may.
Still, get out, Mercury. *
no subject
That didn't mean he was giving up without gaining anything, though.
He raises his arm, reaching up the bed to where she'd tossed her bundle of papers earlier and backflipping casually off the bed to the opposite side. Without a moment's pause he's already opening it to search for the money himself, glancing up at Neo with a patient smile. ]
You need to work on your people skills, sugar.
no subject
Now that he's out of the bed she looks it over before brushing it off with her gloved hand. Sleeping standing up almost seems like a better option but with a sigh she climbs in to the bed she's clearly too small for leaving more than ample room for him if he really wanted it. *
no subject
But she wasn't in a great mood, and he was willing to let her sleep it off if it meant she may be easier to deal with tomorrow. So he drags the chair over near the bedside, setting himself down and resting his feet up on the bed's edge as he folds his arms over his chest. Again - he's slept in worse conditions. He'll manage. ]
You better not snore.

I'm guessing you just got here?
[Action}
Dropping to the ground, her boots making a dull thud, she jogged lightly up to the woman. "Hey! Miss? Can you see me? I'm right here!" She might have to work at it a bit, floating up and hovering in front of her. "Your show was really nice. Can you see me though? Can you hear me?"
[Action}
Her eyes blink, brown and pink flicker from one iris to the other. Neo's eyes trail the sound of boots thudding. She can't see but she can sure hear.*
[Action]
The voice sounded young and remained nearby but not too far into her personal space. It didn't seem at all intimidated by the umbrella.
"Look at my voice. Sometimes people can't see me but if you look for me it should help." It wouldn't take too much effort on Neo's part to start picking out the green haired youkai. "I'm sorry. Usually people either can't see or hear me or they can. It's strange just to have one or the other."
