11th Campaign [Video/Locked to Yukihime] Backdated to 10/4
[It had taken considerable work but eventually Satsuki Kiryuin had managed to get some free time- or at least enough time to actually consider leisurely socializing. And she only considers this because it had been a while since she had contacted Yukihime, whom she had promised to speak again with over a particular matter. In retrospect she isn't entirely certain why she agreed to it, but perhaps part of her thinks that the older woman would be able to provide some insight on the matter that will help the Guardian out- it's a worthwhile trade for some embarrassment, which Kiryuin has managed a nice track record of doing to herself when speaking to the blond.
She glances to her clock, and it is nearing three. A good time for tea, so she could knock out two birds with one stone. But first thing's first, and she attempts to contact Yukihime.]
It's me. Do you have anything planned over the next couple of hours?

It's me. Do you have anything planned over the next couple of hours?

no subject
Hm? No.
Nothing worth mentioning, at any rate. Somehow she doubts Satsuki would be impressed to hear she's interrupting an evening of lazing around the apartment half-dressed and reading.]
no subject
[There's the sound of quick yet light clacking upon a keypad.]
Therefore now would be the best time for us to get together. If you would like, I could arrange a ride to transport you to my quarters.
no subject
[Because while stepping out of Satsuki's closet might be an amusing way to out herself as a super-wizard she's not going to abandon the restraint she's shown thusfar just for a little joke. Well, not for now at least.]
[Video] -> [Action]
Once she ends the call she has a brief moment of anxiety- Was it actually appropriate for her to invite her to her home? Was it even a good idea? The recently appointed Guardian shakes her head to clear it and make preperations. Besides, if anything goes sour, Koishi would likely help her out.
Wherever she is.
And so Yukihime is escorted to Nova City should she accept the ride in a nice enough car. It's rather cloudy in the City so all the neon lights are quite visible- It's a very light-heavy, angular place and Wily's Tower is still standing. Satsuki is still staying in an apartment building in a higher income part of the city, though the way it's designed gives it a look more of a fancy hotel.
Satsuki eventually stands in wait in the lobby entrance that is led to by a holographic carpet where the vehicle pulls in. Her hands behind her back, shoulders straight and of course a neutral expression on her features. ]
[Video] -> [Action]
Is there someone else joining us? Or do you greet all your guests like they're a head of state?
[By comparison, Yukihime is dressed down. Way down. Shorts, tank top, open-toed that avoided falling into the realm of 'sandals' more by quality of material than actual plan of construction. Basically her lying-around-the-house clothes. She wasn't one to stand on ceremony but she did love dressing up so this was rare for her. Trying to help Satsuki set a casual mood, or trying to antagonize her by taking it as far as she could... or, given her usual behavior, she'd likely considered both outcomes and simply decided to see which way the scales tipped.]
[Action]
Eventually she decides on option C: Ignore it, so turns around to take the lead to the elevator.]
This way, then.
[Once both are inside, Satsuki raises her hand to the dashboard and the word 'Penthouse' lights up upon it. The elevator itself has the appearance that it's made entirely of glass and once the doors close, an ad for some soda brand is projected around them.]
There is the possibility of a third; she is a little difficult to keep track of as she has a habit of disappearing at random times. So do not be surprised if a girl in a black, yellow-ribboned hat appears at any point in time.
[Action]
'Don't swat ghost bee girl'. Got it.
You don't have many visitors, do you?
[That, at least, is asked without any animosity or implication.]
[Action]
Not.. outside of my usual group, no. It seems I have done a poor job of trying to hide that.
[Satsuki almost seems a little.. Embarrassed? Well, perhaps 'tense' might be a better word.]
Any advice would be welcome.
[Action]
I'm not that different in that regard, you know. I never liked having guests much. Or people in general.
[Action]
Oh wait; she wasn't. Satsuki just assumed her company was social and outgoing in her own way.]
I see. Never mind, then.
[Her expression reverts after a few seconds, which is also when the doors open. It didn't seem like they moved at all, but this is clearly the roof. The long hallway is decorated by several potted plants and paintings on one side, with fully glass windows on the other. She takes the lead once more.]
Living as long as you have, I suppose that is inevitable. But if that is the case, what sorts of things entertain you?
[Action]
Satsuki's getting a peevish look for that comment, though.]
Did you just call me old?
[Like, sure, she is, and she'll admit she acts it on occasion, but woe betide anyone who points it out when she hasn't.]
[Action]
Once they arrive at the door it opens on it's own and she looks to Yukihime from the corner of her eyes.]
At what point do you believe I called you 'old'?
[Satsuki's place is about as nice as one might expect. Satsuki hasn't gone overboard in her luxury; at least not yet. Also her mun is too lazy to really describe it; she'll find a floor plan when she gets home.
The entrance leads into a long-ish hallway, where she kneels to remove her boots.]
[Action]
[Normally she really wouldn't care enough to quibble over wording and wouldn't have left this line of argument open, but she is interest in whether Satsuki has an inkling of what she really is.
Of course at this point it would almost be a relief if she did. It feels like a farce pretending to be 'normal' when no one else cares to.
She steps out of her shoes easily; if the direction of conversation makes her feel tense at all there's no sign of it. But then, there's not much that makes her tense at all.]
[Action]
I see. My apologies, that was not my intent.
[The conversation took an interesting shake; this wasn't what she invited Yukihime for but while the Guardian suspects Yukihime is hiding something it's very difficult for her to tell what especially when it's no secret Yukihime comes from a world more unusual than her own. Satsuki isn't confident she can outwit the woman into spilling it either; she's far too cool.]
Is darjeeling tea all right?
[Action]
If it's good, I'll forgive you that comment.
[She looks like she's joking, anyway, and sits back easily on the couch.]
But you know, it's more common to go out on the first date.
[Definitely messing with her.]
[Action]
[Once in the kitchen area, Satsuki continues her preparations. There's no reaction from the comment, but the other causes her to halt her motions for a moment.]
If there is so much as a whisper that we are dating, I will see to it that you are punished.
[Messing around or not, she wants to make that absolutely clear that while she likes Yukihime enough, she'll allow only so much mischief.]
[Action]
]Perhaps poor phrasing, Satsuki.]
[Action]
[Ok, that caught Satsuki completely off-guard, so much that she can't even get angry but stare for a moment with several rapid blinks. She can feel her cheeks getting a bit hot, though, so she goes back to looking at the counter then pretend far too late that she hadn't heard that.]
*ahem* I come from Honno City, an artificial island within Tokyo Bay. I have spoken with several others whom have never heard of the City, but I presume you are familiar with the general area I speak of?
[Action]
I've lived there myself. In the Tokyo Bay, not your city.
[Action]
[The cups poured, then placed on a tray, Satsuki brings them over to the table, along with a little cup of sugar cubes. While she has good poise, it doesn't appear this is something she does often.]
Honno City runs under a heirarchy system, and is divided into four sections.
My duty is to oversee the city's military school Honnouji Academy. My associates and I assist in the guidance and training the youth of Honno- The idea is that under this system traditions that hold Japan's best interests are upheld while ensuring efficiency and order. As for what the training is for, our neighboring cities have fallen into corruption or disarray. I intended to conquer them, but at that point had been drawn here.
Keep in mind this is a simplified version of how things work; the situation in its entirety gets rather complex.
[Action]
Why conquer them, exactly?
[Action]
[Time? Well that is true, Satsuki just prefers to get straight to the point. So while she doesn't disagree, she doesn't state so verbally.]
Because it is the most effective option.
[Action]
Most effective for what? What's your goal? How do you justify using your strength?
[Action]
My goal is unifying Japan in order to restore it's former glory: a country which its traditions, educational systems, and beliefs are upheld with the country's best interests in mind.
Honno was not exempt from this problem originally, but I had already corrected that.
[There's a brief pause.]
I do not understand your last question. Why would I not use my strength?
