Morning
((Warning she will be pickpocketing whoever replies to this one unless she recognizes them.))
- [ Once she got out of that place, pocketed the money and gave the pamphlet a brief skim, Emerald was out of there. If you get brought some place strange, the best thing you can do is get away from wherever they left you. There was enough money there to take care of herself, which she found a little suspicious. Who was honestly that helpful? There was a reason people learned to steal and it wasn't because people helped those in need if it put them out in the slightest.
Oh well. She'd find some place to spend it and get it out of her pocket and get some money she felt a little more comfortable with-- the kind she appropriated all by herself. That said, she wasn't afraid to ask for help of a different kind.
After looking around for a bit, Emerald approached someone who didn't look particularly attentive. ]
Excuse me, sorry. I'm new here. Do you know where I could find some place to sleep tonight?
[ She could blow the free money on a hotel stay and food, then pay for whatever she needed next with this poor sap. ]
That Evening
- [ Once Emerald got a little more settled in-- meaning, she went and found a nice little motel room, got herself a map from some corner store, and a little extra spending money in case she needed it-- she decided to see about this whole social network. It was kind of weird to be using something other than her own scroll, but it worked well enough. ]
Hello, I'm Emerald. Nice to meet all of you.
[ There was a brief wave of her hand. She doesn't know what's going on here and the best way to not make enemies is to not be a jackass
It sounds like we need these to identify us as real if the pamphlets are right. What happens if we don't wear them? It doesn't really go with my outfit.
[ Not her real reason for asking, but hey. Better than wondering why the hell they're all being required to wear necklaces like tracking tags. ]

V I D E O;
It was only a matter of time before you came here too.
Unfortunately I only got here a few days ago myself.
ditto forever ain't nobody got time to fix subject lines
[ That perked her right up. Honestly, she'd been worried she'd be totally alone here. One of her favorite people was here though, and this just went straight from a crap situation to a moderately OK situation because of it. ]
Where are you staying? I thought I was here alone so I got a room already.
Fuck subject lines
fuck em hard
[ She doesn't feel like fighting Mercury for the bed since Cinder would undoubtedly get her own or she would totally ask if she could come join them. ]
Where were you thinking of moving?
Who needs them?
[Of course, she would rather they were all together. Even she cares about people sometimes.]
That's uncertain for now, but I'll have to raise some money first.
Not me.
I definitely don't
For sure, we're both independent ladies who don't need no subject lines.
We don't need help from "subject lines".
Who do these subject lines think they are anyway?
We do what we want!
YEAH!
THE MAN IS JUST TRYING TO BRING US DOWN
WE WON'T LET HIM! LETS STICK IT TO THE MAN!!
STICK IT TOO HIM REAL GOOD.
POST-IT LEVEL STICKING.
WE DON'T NEED YOUR CRAP
OR YOUR TAPE! POST-ITS ALL THE WAY!
POST-ITS ARE THE WAY TO GO CLEARLY
Except those weird post-it tabs. Those are two small to write anything worthwhile on. smh.
Who even uses those? They're so tiny.....
Probably Neo. They're Neo-sized post-its.
Are they also brown, pink, and white?
I know they have pink and white at least. I haven't seen a brown one yet...
Maybe because brown is boring?
Brown is awesome, I love brown. Like deep chocolate brown not recycled brown tho.
Dark Chocolate for the win right?
Hell yes. It's the best chocolate.
No other chocolate will do.

A C T I O N ;
Ah, well. You can get a motel or hotel room for the time being. You'll need to find yourself a job if you want anywhere more permanent though.
[Rikku, being a pickpocket herself, knew better than to carry large sums of bills on her. So she had the very bare minimal. Just enough to get some food. Luckily she hadn't pickpocketed from many people yet.]
no subject
Where's the nearest one? I'll worry about where I'm going to sleep tomorrow night in a few days.
[ Of course, it's when Emerald went to put Rikku's bills with her own that she looked surprised for half a second. ]
Wha-- [ Uhg. She narrowed her eyes at Rikku and held her hand out. ]
My money, now.
no subject
There's one in that direction.
[She pointed in the direction and then looked surprised when she addressed the bills.]
Only after you give mine back as well.
[So they were both in the same game here.... How did she manage to get Rikku's bills when she was used to this herself. Maybe Gippal was right? Maybe she was getting sloppy. No. She'll never let him know that he might have been right.]
no subject
If you try to pocket some of mine when you hand them back, we're going to have a problem.
[ She held up the cash she'd taken from Rikku, halfway between them with her other hand held out. ]
At the same time, I don't think either of us want any trouble.
[ Well that wasn't true but the last thing Emerald needed was to be openly a wanted criminal on her first day. ]
no subject
[She could respect another pickpocket somehow... So she handed her money back as well while taking her own back.]
Maybe we should just agree not to take stuff each other? I'd rather not deal with the trouble myself.

I didn't know you had such a passion for fashion.
Video; private
Cinder told me you were here. I'm guessing not long since she said you two were still holed up in a hotel room together.
[ Not fair. Then again she got her own bed this way, hotel rooms didn't tend to have three beds and she could see Mercury fighting her over who didn't have to sleep in the roll away if she tried. ]

[ He folds his arms over his chest, letting himself speak seriously for once in his goddamn life. Business before pleasure. ]
Longer than her, anyway. Actually, it's been almost a month for me - there's some sort of issue with time between our home and here, but supposedly you can be here for ages and return back like not even a second passed without you.
Video; private
You have a point. But what happens if we don't wear it?
[ Almost a month. She almost asks about it but he finishes explaining the time problems before she can even ask. ]
So you were stuck here by yourself for a whole month? [ Emerald almost feels bad about him being alone, but she knows Mercury can take care of himself. A month isn't that bad. ] It must have driven you up the wall to have to play nice with everyone all the time. [ She's assuming he wasn't stupid enough to go be himself with complete strangers if there was a chance Cinder would show up anyway. ]
Re: Video; private
[ His expression falls into a sullen frown at her mention of the time he was trapped here as the only member of his team - even with Adam there and Neo showing up shortly after, it's not like they were on the best of terms. ]
Not the whole month - Cinder's been here a little while now, but before that it was just Adam and Neo. I don't think they care for me much, though. [ A beat. ] I'm not sure a lot of people care for me much. I've kept my hands clean, but I may have ticked off one or two people. I call it unavoidable collateral damage.

Now was one of those times she liked to have to herself before someone approached her. Turning around she put on her most helpful smile.]
There are places around, but I always find finding an apartment is the best way. After all there are plenty around and they aren't as expensive as people might think.
[She sadly wouldn't notice if any of her bills went missing. I don't think she would mind in a sense if it should help them.]
action;
I will, but I'd rather check the place out before I'm going to stay there long-term, which is why I'm looking for a motel. Better safe than sorry.
[ Emerald smiled in a friendly way. She was lying through her teeth since she didn't actually care. As long as there was a roof over her head it was better than being on the streets, but there was less commitment with a hotel or a motel than there was with an apartment. People knew where to find you if you stayed in the same place, which could be a problem if they figured out who took their wallet. ]
action;
That makes sense. I know of a few places around here, but it really depends on which city you would rather live in. After all there are hotels in those ones too.

Then you have Nova City which is make futuristic and advanced than anywhere else and Fayren is...I guess some would say like a fairy tale.

A place to stay... That means you all alone and have no where to stay. I mean there are plenty of places but if they don't suit you, I'm always happy to offer you a room.
action;
Especially since she definitely wasn't thinking a horse would have anything worth pocketing. No one was stupid enough to keep their wallet with one. ]
Thanks for the offer, but I might have to pass. [ Mostly because she expected the talking horse lived in a stable and didn't use a toilet. The benefit of the doubt and faith in all things good weren't exactly in Emerald's toolbox. Neither was trusting a stranger who was offering her a place to stay, human or horse. ]
I got the money from the pamphlet, I'm sure I can afford a place. I won't impose, but thanks. Are you sure it's safe to go around inviting people to live with you before you know their name?
action;
I think so honestly, but then again I do usually get told off for being kind to everyone I meet, but that's just who I am. [It helped that she was the element of kindness because it showed that's who she was.]
To me it's not a bad thing to show a little kindness to those both old and new.
action;
[ She definitely didn't, but not playing nice wasn't going to get her anywhere before she knew what was going on. ]
Do you mind if I ask if there's a hospital around?
[ She's talking to a horse of some kind, she kind of wants to get her head checked. ]
action;
[Now as she recalls the hospital was rebuilt and she had an idea of where that was.]
I know where it is, if you want to follow me. [As she starts to trot off a head pokes out of the saddle bag. A head of a rabbit as it stares back.]
