No doubt he has plans for here but there's still information from him I need to get and I will find a way to get it.

I don't believe there's a real police force here that we can just simply report him to without evidence to support.

I don't think he'll try anything right away but- better safe to left our friends know just in case.

[ zuko presses his palm against his good eye, his nails scraping against the matted scar tissue surrounding the other. to make this guardian business or to not make this guardian business... zuko's forever on the fence in regards to what he should and shouldn't involve his sister in. he wants to encourage positive tendencies in her, wants to show her that she can be an effective leader without going the ozai route and falling in their father's footsteps, but he fears her backtracking.

he hates that he's prepared to deal with said backtracking, hates that he's warned weiss of the very real threat she could easily make herself, hates that he's given the okay for her to warn her team of the possibility of that happening. he hates that he's had to dust off a mask he threw away with every intention of never putting it back on again, just in case he needed to give his sister something else to focus on.

although... the blue spirit could be useful for more than that...

For right now? Nothing.

I believe he just needs to be monitored at the moment. He's in a new place with familiar faces and a whole bunch of new faces, so he'll be looking for somewhere to possibly lay low until HE gathers information about the citizens here.

It'll only be a matter of time before he finds about our Team here.

I know she can handle herself and I've seen what she's capable of, but keep an eye on yourself and Weiss. She doesn't have her family assets or titles here, but a Schnee is still something someone from our world could very much have a use for.

You do know that if Weiss sets her mind on something, talking her out of it is like teaching a purple pentapus to fly, right? And I'm not exactly the best person to tell her not to do something because of her name and position, given my own.

I..don't particularly understand your metaphor but I understand the importance behind it, I think. Since I've never heard of a purple pentapus. But yes, she's stubborn like that...

No, but it's still important that she at least be watched carefully. I'm not saying 24/7 surveillance, just- an occasional reassurance she's not in danger.

Everyone at Beacon was more or less in love with her. As her Teammates, we'd...sort of get used. If they were on our good side, then we could speak highly of them to Weiss. Soon, it became a chore to even talk to boys.

Weiss never let on that she cared about any of them, no matter how hard they had tried.

The way she talks about you? I've never seen that. She gets ridiculously happy, boasts about all your skills but always does it in a way that makes her smile.

I know she's a brat sometimes. Heck, even half the time I don't like her or- maybe it's my own jealousy that she's the princess I've always wanted to be and I'm just...the shadow behind her. [She gives a partial shrug.]

Just know you're thought of in high favor.

[ weiss has mentioned having admirers, but hearing it from someone else drives the point home. what did she even see in him? he was a scarred, temperamental fuck up who was bad at being good and was probably going to get himself killed in the near future. yet, he'd accomplished something none of the boys back home ~~except for neptune?~~ had been able to achieve.

and he was ruining it by continuing to be angry at her for something that was so trivial in the long run.

I should consider myself lucky. ...but I don't think she sees you as her shadow, if that means anything. When she talks about her team, she speaks as if the four of you are equals.

Perhaps. Again, I know she can be a brat sometimes but- I think that just comes with being in the position she is; a daughter of an Industrialist.

And..equals, I do like to think we're there but it took a lot of trials and tribulations and trust. In the beginning, I didn't think she even wanted to be apart of our team but- she grew a lot. Still bossy sometimes but we've also learned to read the signs.

[Tilts her head to glance at him through her feed.] Kind of like what has to be done with relationships.

And I'm the son of a king. I get that position. Or I did, anyway.

She- certainly thought she deserved the leader's role of our team, probably because her family expects nothing less than perfect. But, again, she has indeed come a long way at Team Play rather than Weiss Play.

[Rubs her chin in thought.] I'm no expert, far from it, but to me she just sometimes seems...lonely. Boys at our school always after her because of her title but, also because they see her as a Princess I guess. Being that elevated in the world seems to be stressful and lonely. When she talks about you though? That all seems to fade.

Being at top is hard. A lot of people don't get that, because that's usually the kind of ideal life they want to lead. They don't get how restrictive it can be to have your entire day planned out for you, how suffocating it is to have an entire retinue of handlers following you wherever you go. Half the time, you can't even participate in your own festivals because you're too busy sitting at the top of it like some sort of centerpiece that's beyond having fun.

[ bitter bitter bitter — but maybe not entirely at his royal upbringing. something else is clearly eating at him. ]

No, people don't tend to understand that. Pressure is pressure, no matter where it comes from. I understand people want the stability but- not the pressure that comes with such titles.

[But she listens a little more carefully; sure he's spouting about those kinds of things, but there almost sounds like an undertone of something more.] Maybe that's why you two get along so well. Kindred spirits and what not. Misery loving company.

I think that's how Weiss feels with her family's company. One day she might take over the Schnee enterprise and that will only paint a larger target on her. [A target Blake had a hand in dealing with once upon a time when she and Adam stole a train car of Schnee Dust. It was only later she found out that Weiss' father would take out his aggression on her... Ugh, those are the kind of memories Blake hates herself the most for. Just furthering proof that if it weren't for a little bow hiding cat ears, she'd just be considered an inhuman creature, rapscallion, as Weiss had called Sun once.

Gives a quiet sigh and leans her head back against the wall.]

You should let some of those out before it overflows. Usually keeping it contain ends in disastrous explosions.

Or hunt some creatures in the forest. Sometimes physical things like fighting helps clear the head as well.

Been there, done that, explosions and all.

Well, bending explosions. Pretty sure the pillar of fire I made out of the campfire we had on the beach could be seen from islands miles away.

...I don't hunt, and I get in plenty of training hours. [ literally rising with the sun meant you were up and ready whether you wanted to be or not. ]
