One of the holidays that was mentioned to me is coming up. It's called Christmas, and while it's traditionally a religious holiday, I've found that the majority of people celebrate it more as a friends-and-family togetherness and year-end celebration. There's a lot of music, winter themes, gift-giving, parties, traditional food, and significant abuse of the colors red, green, and gold.
Since Team RWBY (Ruby, me- Weiss, Blake, and Yang) is getting our own house soon, I figured we should have a Christmas-slash-Housewarming party on Christmas Eve, December 24th. There will be a Secret Santa, so make sure you bring a gift. Secret Santa is a game named after a fictional overweight man in a red suit who brings gifts to good children every year, except in Secret Santa you're only in charge of getting a gift for one randomized person at the party. That said, it will be taken out of the list of RSVPs so make sure that if you want a gift or to give one, you RSVP. Rules regarding gifts include a price ceiling of $100, no living creatures, no gifts that would cost more money in the long run for upkeep, nothing that is going to make a mess if someone opens it at the party, nothing illegal, and nothing that's going to cause more harm than good. The last rule is that you absolutely cannot tell anyone whose Secret Santa you are. It is called "Secret" Santa for a reason. And if you don't follow the rules, you're not getting invited to the next party.

The location will be announced officially in a few days. If you aren't RSVPing, make sure that you know someone who is so you get the directions. Expected attire is dress but not formal. There's no need to show up in a tuxedo, but please don't show up in jeans and a t-shirt either.

I have a question though. I found these headbands at the store and some of them have animal parts like reindeer antlers or polar bear ears. Is that offensive?

I doubt he's even interested but- maybe no antlers around Adam. But if people are having innocent fun, eh, go for it?

[ And Blake is going to get some pictures now of Christmas antlers, polar bear ears, Frost dressed up (just because Frost is cute and she wants to share with someone), mouse ears, dog ears, a hat with elf ears, a tree headband, a snowman headband, a santa headband, and a couple of Santa hats. ]

Humans have hated Faunus' for so long, to decorate themselves with animal features seemed...hypocritical but- then again their world's history isn't here.] Mm, looks tame enough. This tree and- pointed ears don't look too bad since they look overly ridiculous.
The ears I can turn a blind eye to. If someone in dog ears comes barking at me though, I can't promise I'll behave too much.
As for Adam, good luck. I doubt it but who knows. If he is coming though, I'm not exactly going to be leaving my room till he's gone. I hope you understand.

Plus, if we have a bunch of us wearing these, then you can have yours in the open without anyone asking questions, if you wanted.
[ It's entirely possible that she thought they were cute and that she wanted Blake to feel comfortable as herself without worrying about anything, even if the sort of persecution they face isn't a problem here. ]

Mine? [Touches her bow with her fingertips, thinking on that.] I don't think I've read anything about a uh- Christmas or Holiday Cat. It might look a bit out of place compared to these, don't you think?

Well, since you enjoy gossip so much.
After Adam found out what that human girl did, it broke him a bit. He was training in the forest for- I don't even know, 15 hours straight.
Somehow we got to talking and- found that we harbored emotions for one another since we were kids. But our paths just went different ways and it broke my heart.
Sun- has helped that, a lot. More than I thought would ever happen. I'll always love Adam, he was my mentor and my family but I think we just- silently agreed to no longer be...alive to one another, I guess.
Sorry to kill the 'holiday' cheer. [Rubs her forehead.]

[ She shakes her head after Blake's story. ]
I already knew a little of that, but.. not all of it. I'm sorry it turned out that way. If he doesn't want to talk to you anymore just because you two aren't "together-together" [ to quote Nora ] then it's his loss. Sun is kind of stupid sometimes but if you two are happy together then I don't think you killed the "holiday cheer" at all.

[Gives a small shrug and leans back against her bed.] I know, I just don't know why it hurts so much. I guess it's probably just him taking a sort of revenge for my initial 'betrayal'.
[There's a long moment of silence before she randomly speaks up again.] Also, apparently Monkeys seem to enjoy the scent of Pine trees. So..I'll try to make sure Sun doesn't try to eat our Christmas tree.

Weiss doesn't know what else to say about Adam, so she moves onto Sun. ]
As weird as Sun can be sometimes, I'm personally going to at least try to trust him not to eat our decorations.

Sure. It'll be good to have some correctly themed music in the background of the party.. maybe I could sing at the end. Since it's a sort of togetherness holiday it would probably be strange if I sung by myself this time. [ Not that she would mind, but overall it seems like everything else is about doing things with other people... ]

I think you would be fulfilling a fantasy to almost every male at Beacon. But; why not? It's fitting, not in a negative connotation in the least bit, so why not? Funny? Eh maybe. Fitting? Yes.
Uh no. I already ate some and got sick the other day but I learned. [Shrugs like it's no big deal.]
Sounds good. There's some sheet music with the recordings. I guess you'll need to find someone who can harmonize with your range and pitch.

Well, if you want to tone down the opera sound and just sing a little differently, we should be able to do this one with a simplistic harmonize with a few of these.
Hmm, Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas, White Christmas and a rather slower tempo of one called Silent Night.

[ Frost followed her out of her room, she picks him up and and takes the dog back, closing her door with a bark from Frost, then coming back to Blake's door. ]
