Christmas time again, huh?

I wonder how many people I know are still here? It kind of seems fleeting. There were so many familiar faces of people here and now it seems rather lonely.

Not to say making new acquaintances is bad or anything, but I do miss the people that I used to speak to, or spend time with.

Does anyone feel like that sometimes?

Hehe, maybe I'll make something for everyone here for Christmas. I'm not the best cook, but I'm learning.

Duzie are you still around around.

[ There's a long silence before she breaks into a sincere smile. ] Anyway, sorry for being down in the dumps. This time of year makes me a little sad. Haha.

[Sadly, Zelos already had died unjustifiably in his homeworld. He saw no other way out, and he let his teammates kill him in order to escape from the role he was forced to play, and a world that would not put their faith in him - would not see him as anything other than the stupid, playboy Chosen of Tethe'alla.

In Genessia, though, he had another chance. He'd thought it was a sick joke of an afterlife, at first, but it was different here. He could live freely. And Ishtar...somehow, he earned her trust. It was terrifying, but it meant more to him than he could put words to.

He'd remember the wings were there soon enough, but with no comment from her about it, he saw no reason to conceal them again. He doubted Duzell would walk in on them, after all.]

Tell me about it...he's a bit of a nutcase, to be honest.

Like I said, just keep an eye out if he shows up...and preferably don't mention I'm here. Last thing I wanna deal with is his ego.

[Zelos managed a small laugh as well, grateful he tension was fading. It was nice, just staying close to her like this.]

Working together, hm? Sounds pretty good to me.

[ It sounds like a very hurtful world in which Ishtar would be against it completely. She could not deal with something like that-- something so unfair to a human being. People always put on a mask and pretend like they're something they're not. Ishtar was known for that as well. She put on a farce in order to conceal her own feelings towards her own family, and the people around her.

Yet, there were a few that she could let that mask slip on. Trust was something that Ishtar didn't give lightly anymore. She's been betrayed enough times, not by choice, but it still hurts. She wanted to ensure him that she wasn't going to simply abandon him because of what he did or what his past was like. The present was what mattered. Why did the past have to be included? ]

He sounds like it.

[ She chuckled softly. ]

Of course. I'll make sure that you're hidden as well as you can be.

[ She nodded her head. It's kind of weird to hug someone like this, since it had been a long time but she didn't seem to mind ]

Great. That means you can't do anything dangerous that will hurt you. If you do, you have to take me with you. Got it? Or I'll be pissed.

[Chuckling softly, Zelos - almost reluctantly - took a step back. The orange wings vanished in a flurry of translucent feathers, which soon disappeared without a trace as well.]

Hey, if you're gonna make me promise something like that, you're gonna have to give me your word too, you know?

[Said with a playful wink. He was going to prove he was worth her trust, somehow.]

[ Seems like it. It really sucked that he couldn't trust many people in his own world. Ishtar still kept positive to the best of her abilities. At least, for him so that he didn't feel any worse than he did, telling her these things. She does and it's shown through her responses to him. If she didn't like him, she wouldn't have spoken to him the way she did. ]

Yeah, you never know. My horrible cousin was here for a time as well... and it was really annoying.

Lassen put her on edge until he vanished. Ishtar allowed him the space he needed, even if it was slightly reluctant. ]

Of course. I can do that if you keep yours.

[ She chimed smirking. ]

I won't do anything that will worry others anymore. I've learned my lesson.

Your cousin, huh? Sounds like a bit of a pain... Guessing he's not the sorta guy I wanna spend time around?

[Wariness showed in Zelos' tone, there. Had this guy hurt Ishtar in the past? That wasn't something he wanted to think about.]

Sounds like a deal to me. Don't worry, I won't do anything too reckless~

Yup, he's a huge pain in the ass. He was threatening from day one!

[ She replied furrowing her brows. Ishtar noticed that but she waved her hand a bit. Yes, yes Lassen had done a number of things and they weren't inflicted on her directly. However, the best way to get to Ishtar is through the people she cared about, so that's what Lassen did. ]

Hey, don't worry about it. This is all in the past.

Good. I hope that we'll maintain a great friendship from now on.~
