First Transformation - Video

[An unfamiliar face appears on the screen. For once a new face is not clamoring on about how they got here, what they would do to whoever brought them here, or asking if they could go home. This, of course, had a lot to do with the fact this person was not actually a new resident at all, though no one, not even the people that knew her, would realize that. A bake-danuki was a master of disguise after all, and this one was even more talented then most. The girl speaks, in a voice far removed from that she uses in her real form.]

So like, I heard people here are pretty dumb and some junk. Some of you just believe whateeeeeever someone tells you, no matter if it is totes silly and super obviously fake. That really hurts my feelings, you know! I hate being surrounded by people that are like so dense they can't see the tree for...you know, stuff. Don't make me do proverbs. I like, totally hate 'em! I hate 'em more then I do a bad hair day. Not that a beauty like me gets those but if I wasn't so great I can see 'em being something that would make me mad, you know? Anywhos, about you people and your silly faces. You know, its super easy to make it look like someone is doing something when they really aren't. As long as you know like...computers or maybe magic...magic is a thing here, right? People like...actually do it? Anywho, these. Watch these completely fake videos to see how easy it is!

[What follows is a series of short videos featuring what appears to be the various guardians of the cities. The first features Ejava Tepet, who for some reason is wearing an extremely frilly dress.]

Look at me! Look at dance, for I am a pretty, pretty princess!

[A few seconds of awkward attempts at dancing follow, before the screen fades to reveal the face of the Everglade guardian Yuna. Its a face covered in a frown.]

Everyone keeps saying mean things about me! About me doing horrible things that might end up in people getting hurt! But its not true! I'm not a bad person...

[Her hand reaches off camera to grab something, and for some reason she puts a pair of sunglasses over her eyes.]

...if Yuna what I mean!

[The third video displays the purple haired tresses of the summoner of the great Beelzesatan. Vyers wears a dour expression on his face as he faces the camera.]

While I have not summoned any demon lords, there is one thing that I must confess to all of you. I fear it is too important to keep to myself. The truth is, I like big butts. I know it may be a shock to all of you, but I cannot and will not lie.

[After that shocking revelation, there is one last face to appear on the screen. Satsuki Kiryuin has the most out of character expression on her face, because she's wearing a wide smile on her face.]

I, Satsuki, am the happy face lady! I ate forty gallons of ice cream and now I have all the energy! ALL OF IT! Watch me punch this wall until it cries!

[She lashes out at the wall next to her which, predictably doesn't cry but instead hurts her hand, which she shakes.]

Awwww! Ouchies, Satsuki got an ouchie! The only answer to this is more ICE CREAM!

[After this the girl from before reappears.]

See? Totes not believable at all. If I can do that, imagine what someone who spent actual time on it could do! So like, what I'm saying and all is to not let yourself be a dumbface and believe stupid stuff. At least some of you are prolly smart, use that smarts for figuring out truths, not just sitting around eating ice cream so you can have a big butt to dance with the princess. Gawd, I can't believe I had to do this!

[And with that, the unknown girl is off. Poof!]

[Well. Interesting. Luke is frowning at the camera.]

I think most people don't believe those videos, miss. I'm not sure about the people who have always been here, but mostly people think those stories put out by Everyman aren't true...

[All of the events with Everyman have resulted in a significant amount of distress for him; discussing it still makes him uncomfortable. Luke nervously fiddles with his hat, frowning.]

But the more people keep talking about how those videos are fake, the better. Probably.

[He thinks of Mami and the strange spirit, the two of whom will be working to do Everynan's chaos. He wonders momentarily how she has been doing, along with Satsuki and the efforts she has been taking. Though he's still following the events closely, since being fired by Satsuki he's watched in silence.].

We just have to keep reminding ourselves that these stories aren't true...hopefully if nobody even reacts anymore than they'll stop...

Oh well like, it'd be super great and all if you were right, little sweeetie but I bet that there are all sorts of people who are like 'woah! I saw a video of something! That has to be the truth!' I used to be like that and all, until I got smart. So I wanna make sure that other people know how to be smart, too. Its like...community service and junk.

[A small part of her wants to give poor Luke a personal message, but if she is going to keep up her disguise, she can't give herself away. Such was the fate of a trickster.]

Naw, I doubt they'll stop just because a few people smarten up. Even still though, totes nice to see peopel not tricked. So make sure you stay smart!

[Sigh. He would be happy to know that Mami is okay--he's had no way of knowing, and hasn't spoken with her since, and certainly isn't asking Satsuki about it. So he'll have to just hope that no news at all is good news.

He rests his chin on his hand with a frown and a sigh.]

It's good to remind people. Everyman and whoever is working with him has caused loads of trouble.

[He glances away from the screen.]

I don't want him to make trouble for anyone else so I'm glad other people know it's not real.

"How dare you, miss, using your evil powers of trickery to make the truth seem like a trick! Did you see the the wreckage the guardians caused? How even the news, those slovenly sycophants, admitted their complicity in all this?

Most of all, the Guardian's continual silence in the matter. Odd, isn't it, that the only one's sticking up for them are their cronies. Why haven't they anything to say about their alleged besmirching? Not even the most paltry press release has escaped.

Now, I'm not exactly Einstein, here. But maybe, just maybe, it's because they're all full of CORRUPTION!?

[Ah, and here was the villain themselves! She had been hoping to have a chance to talk with him.]

Like omigawd, I really have to explain why they aren't saying anything? If someone told you that you like...I dunno...turned green and flew into outerspace, turned into a umm....a big wheel of cheese and fired tasty cheese lasers down from the moon and destroyed the world, would you feel compelled to tell that person they were wrong? Of course not, its so obviously stupid that there's no need!

[A wee bit of annoyance touches her face.]

Its obvious you're no Einstein, or that would have been all sorts of obvious to you, too. I just got bored, thought I'd remind everyone of how this whole thing was a moon cheese laser story.

The only obvious thing here is that they're seeking to lay low, and not draw too much attention to themselves. Better to sew their evil from the shadows; such is the way with the fiends.

And how dare you minimize their crimes, comparing them to absurdities. As if being particularly strange makes them less malevolent! You're aware that not too long ago parts of the city became cheese. Or was that all some harmless made up story too?

But then, I suppose to someone as empty-headed as you, laying waste to churches, playgrounds, vendors, and houses is about the same as some "moon cheese laser story."

[The girl sighs, and shrugs her shoulders. Is this guy for real?]

Come on! Get with the program here, chippy. There's obviously all sorts of evil going on, but you're pointing your finger in the wrong direction!

[She waggles her finger up and down as she speaks, as if to emphasize her point.]

I mean, you like...said something about ME being evil! I mean, look at me! I'm totes not evil, I am a cute and fashionable young lady. Did I mention cute? Because that is pretty much one of the better words to describe me. No, possibly the best! And then you call me empty-headed, too? You sure know how to hurt a girl like for reals! Why, I might just start crying here!

[She rubs at one of her eyes, though its incredibly obvious she isn't going to be crying anytime soon.]

So like, you mind if I ask you something Mr. Moon Cheese Laser Journalist? I mean, I'm gonna ask anyway, but I guess I can't force you to answer. If they really are super evil and all, why do you think they do it? Do they just SUPER like power or something? And isn't it sort of a coincidence that all of them just happened to trick everyone around them into believing they were super amazing so they could get elected? Seems sort of hard to believe. But I bet you've got a super believable answer, don't you? Come on, share!

I haven't called you evil. Yet. A dimwitted dupe, perhaps, unknowingly contributing to a cause so dark it sweeps you into nocturnal slumber.

For the same reason they always do. Power is an end, not a means. I mean, why did Hitler do what he did? Stalin? Mao Zedong? All of them charismatic, all of them rallying up their countrymen into unspeakable acts. It is not so amazing, though to one as young and inexperienced as yourself, it might seem so.

[The girl does a little fist pump, clearly congratulating herself on this 'victory'.

So you can keep your talk about Himmly and Starin and .....I'm sure you just made that last one up. Because obviously I know the real truth now, Moon Cheese Laser Journalist!

[A gasp!]

[The girl shakes her head with an obvious amused smile on it.]

Its fine of you like flab instead of fab, I'm not here to be all hate-face on you. Even if my own booty has the most beauty! But I was totes just making fun of how dumb those hella fake vids are. Its all awesome that one of you actually responded to me. Makes me feel even more amazing then normal!

Well, truth be told, I wager that my derrière is the most fabulous in the whole of the five cities, but that goes without saying.

Those fake videos are ridiculous, I must admit. At least these ones are amusing.

[ .... That. Well. That was a thing that happened. Satsuki could only just stare at the demonstration not with horror, but most certainly not with amusement either.

The Guardian is certain she gets the point, but the entire presentation is just so over the top she can't muster a response. Was this Mamizou's doing? If it is, the talk is going to have to wait because she can't.
