Erster Eintrag - [ video ]
[ The video starts with a young woman's face close to the camera, moving backwards and adjusting the position of the recording angle slightly in the manner typical to someone unused to such a form of communication. Augusta knows telephones and she knows movie recordings, but she doesn't know mobile telephones, let alone video phones. The instructions are enough to piece together what this is and how it works, but it's still pretty novel to her. She clears her throat. Is she supposed to start this like a professional radio broadcast? ]
Good evening.
[ She smiles, masking her uncertainty. ]
My name is Augusta and I'm the daughter of Markgraf Wolfenbüttel... [ wait, people here won't necessarily know who that is, right? ] ...in the kingdom of Kuchen.
I think I understand the gist of my situation thanks to this pamphlet, but a theoretical understanding doesn't equal full orientation in an unfamiliar place. This isn't Kuchen and this isn't Europe either, is it? The standard of technology doesn't seem to match up with what I'm used to...
[ She trails off, realizing that rambling on and on in what appears to be a broadcast would be impolite. ]
I apologize for having to ask like this, but if someone could point me towards an old-fashioned and rural living area, I would appreciate it. I am still rather lacking overview.
Further, it seems employment is expected here. If anybody knows of a place that needs an able secretary or someone who can work with horses, I'd appreciate getting into contact.
[ She's never had to earn her own money before... ]
Thank you for your time.

[shew as thinking of the world she had used...]
old-fashioned.
I will make sure to go there and see for myself soon. I don't think it's a good idea to just jump into this futuristic world without gradually learning about it.
[ She wants to understand it all, she really does, but she isn't someone who dives head-first into things. ]

[ If there even is... a year to begin with. ]
I think it changed by dimension....I could hardly tell you the year here, but back in my home it was certainly past 1937. Still I think they had cars where I'm from in 1937.........
[She ponders this, maybe different worlds took longer]
Cars exist in my world as well. I'm also familiar with film in general, otherwise using this device would be considerably harder. Still... everything here looks a lot different from what I'm used to.
I apologize for assuming wrong then. Genessia city is only about 70 years after the 1930's...Give or take a few inventions.
[She frowns a bit]
Everything will take getting used too.
video
[ Well if she grows to be 90+ maybe... But who counts on that? She gives a smile. ]
It's disorienting now, but it will an interesting journey of discovery.
video
[Haruka just shrugged, not really taking that into account.]
You seem rather comfortable already...
video
Keeping a cool head is a quality I was taught to value.
Re: video
That actually sounds more reasonable. Anyway, should you require further assistance, feel free to ask. I'm Haruka by the way.

If you find out about working with horses, can you let me know? I haven't even seen a horse since waking up in the bay. Or any place that sells kumis. I haven't really done much exploring though.
I heard Fayren isn't as tech heavy, but there's magic there than can be just as confusing.
[ He's from an even earlier time in Central Asia.]
video
Magic?
[ She blinks, looking surprised for a moment. ]
Well, I suppose that was how I was brought here, so maybe it's not that unrealistic...
video
Yeah.Good point. When I first arrived these little winged people kept tripping me.
[ His way of describing pixies. ]
Once you get the hang of things, the future tech can be really convenient.
video
I can imagine so. Out of curiosity, is there anything you've not known from home that you found especially practical here?
video
Indoor plumbing! Can't really get that kinda thing in a yurt. These buildings are way warmer too.
video
If you don't mind me asking, what time and place are you from?
video
I'm not sure what it's called after the Soviet Union splits. Russian guy told me about that.
[ most likely Kazakhstan]
video
... I wasn't aware the Soviet Union would split at all. At my point in time it still exists.
video
Yeah, in my time Russia is still expanding their empire. By any means.

You work with horses?
text;
As for your question, I'm a quite skilled equestrian, but it's not been my 'work' before. In my world, I attended school.
Signed,
-Augusta
[ .... she's never written a text message before, she just knows letters, okay? And she seriously contemplated putting her full name down here, too, but then decided the situation was too informal for that. ]
Re: text;
Any good at performing?
text;
If you are referring to performing in the sense of shows like circus spectacles, then I have no experience in the area.
If you are referring to horse shows like dressage tournaments and so on, I can do that.

[ Though she cares less about the cash than the not-dying part. ]

What kind of performance are you involved with?

And why do you keep using that '#' sign?

[ He seems honestly curious, this cat man. ]

Of course. What kind of afternoon gathering would be complete without both?
But if you're asking if there's a place called Tee to go with Kuchen, I must disappoint.
video
Mayhaps I am inquiring about both.
It would be amusing with a name like that to go with, don't you think?
video
Potentially. I know not a lot of countries have this tradition of naming places after food. Most of our cities do follow a similar pattern of naming though, so it's quite normal to me.
