☠ 2nd Death
WHO: Marde Guille & OPEN
WHAT: Marde Guille's on his expedition to find information would be useful for him towards getting E.N.D. out and possibly forcing something useful from the resident NPCs. It's not pretty of course, but he disposed of them pretty well.
WHEN 01/05
WHERE: Eerie locations of Everglade & Library
LIBRARY
There's a strange young man, who possibly seems to be immersed in piles of book in the deepest corner of the library. Of course, nothing he's gone through had been useful, but he made his presence unknown to most of the people around him. As Tartarus worked, they were rather secretive and ominous, blending into normal society as if they were not demons to begin with. This particular individual had a rather collected look on his face, madness clouded with and almost pleasant aura. Though, he's not much of a conversationalist among humans. Never mind that there had been some unsightly deaths curled around the library's darkest corners. It was unfortunate that he had not gotten anything useful from the so mortal residential npcs.
Anyone brave enough to question the bodies? They certainly won't find an answer since Marde Guille had no stains on his clothes.
EVERGLADE
Everglade was easier to hide dead bodies. It's been a while since he let himself loose like that. There's no trace of blood on him, as Marde Guille was an excessively phenomenal killer. He was sitting at the ledge of stone as he watched the bodies become nothing but mush, and then perhaps then vanishing with his curse. A clean way to dispose of bodies. He didn't get much information from them so their usefulness was up. There was also the precautionary measure that he didn't let anyone know what he was after or what knowledge he was trying to obtain. So far, nothing was useful to him and he had yet to figure out the plans of how he could take the charms from the city as Zeref said. As Zeref also let him know was that he had to be very good at what he did, since Tartarus was good at undercover business.
He had taken on a few silly jobs for some terribly god awful human beings. The rewards? Well, they were used for Tatarus' main guild and those who request him for jobs, were never seen again. He stood up seemingly bored with the surrounding scenery. Another day, where useful information was not obtained. How annoying.

GORE WARNING
---
"Hey... Hey mister!" Koishi poked gently at Marde Guille's side. She had tied both of her sleeves back and her mouth was a little bloody. "Hello Mister! Do you remember me? You shouldn't kill humans inside. It smells bad." She raised the severed arm of one of the humans, biting off a chunk of meat. Despite this she was being surprisingly neat. "I was really hungry though, so thank you!"
no subject
Excuse me. May I ask what your business is here?
[She was ready at any moment to draw her weapons if need be, but for now she'll leave them where they are.]
library
Because unimportant, they are. They have managed to gain the ultimate beauty of nothingness, of course, but he is still not interested in some empty minded drones, whos thoughts were of too little amusement to even listen to even for the sake of fleeting entertainment.
No, he was more interested in the stranger who caused it, and, with the company of a few of his snakes - as immortal and ancient as he - approaches. "Not finding anything worthy of interest?"

People like... Koishi was it?-- were special cases in which glorified his type of slaughter but in a sort of strange way for her. He lowered the book as she spoke to him.
"Ah-- the strange child," he replied, his expression remained almost pleasant as she greeted, "Marde Guille recalls saying that he does not care for the smell," he replied, though he was definitely piqued by her interesting reaction following her comment. He raised a brow.
no subject
Nothing that a human needs to be aware of.
[ He replied giving her a an almost sneer. Self righteous humans trying to play heroes. Every time. They annoyed him. ]
library
The person that entered the library--judging from his own instincts was not human. Something about them did not smell or reek of what he despised. Though, he was not really into the righteous type if the man turned out to be such. It seems the people of this world can't do anything but bother him.
everglade
"Is that so?"
His reply was simple, even.

She took another bite of the arm, her sharp little teeth hitting bone. A pause... and a chunk of the harder substance broke off, the little youkai crunching away merrily. "Yeah! That's why you should put the corpses outside so that things can eat them and they wont smell. Preferably in the shade. Sunny places would make things worse."
Another bite, the satori's bright eyes drifting down to the book in his hand. "... Whatcha doin?"
no subject
library
"One would think that minds such as these unsophisticated ones" he moves over and touches one of the corpses with a casual movement, not the slightest bit bothered by the feeling of dying skin beneath his bandaged fingertips. "would provide little entertainment." A thin snake slithers up his leg and out over his arm, and into the corpse. "Although they seem to be well enough as fodder."
everglade
The cat waltzes over, curious the way only a cat is curious, and his nose might twitch a little bit, just once. "Why of course." He puts his hand into a jacket pocket. "When one never know quite what to expect, life simply cannot be dull."
library: useful = useless. i swear i forgot to grammar check sobs.
Somehow, he didn't feel like he should be doing much for his creator now. He's a bit seething but of course, a demon like Marde had to keep himself in check. He couldn't lose himself in the sea of emotions.
"The only thing entertaining were their screams and Yes, really."
He seemingly almost shrugged, eying the snake around the other's leg.

The King of Hades replied as a matter of fact, somewhat disregarding most of his comment, "What business do you have with this Marde Guille?"
no subject
[ There's a sneer on his face. ]
Unfortunately, you were a little too late human.
no subject
Marde Guille did what he pleased, and not even Koishi would be able to boss him around.
"Filthy things are not to be touched. They're hardly considered food."
The demon replied closing the book.

She was about to take another bite, pausing... "Hey Mister? What do you like to eat?" Her third eye swayed, hovering a bit closer, examining him as it did the last time. "Because there are lots of things that are really delicious. We should try them sometime."
"Also, what are you looking at? Books are really nice. Sis likes to write a lot of them but we don't have this many at home. We do have a room full of them and it smells like wood pulp and ink. Just like it does in here. It's a really really nice smell. One of my favorites!"

They only serve as fertilizer for his thorns, but even that was a luxury, really. He watched, unfeeling at the demon crunching at the bones of the dead sacks of flesh. At least, he knew there's someone there to clean up the mess for him, really. He didn't seem to mind it as much. Again, Koishi was something useful to keep around.
He presence was unique, and useful.
"Marde Guille has little need for such things as nourishment."
Food and such were tied together with humans and humans were not something he was. He watched the third eye hover around him, as she talked with him. Marde Guille doubted he would like anything really. Human food, and human delicacies never really affected him.
"Information."
He mused, flipping another page. Again, there was hardly any useful information.
"Does it?"
no subject
He was not in the mood to play games. Was it going to tattle? What was it planning? It certainly didn't look human.

[ His expression remained cold. ]
Do you wish to die that much?
Koishi Plz...
She paused, swallowing. "Lots of different creatures where I'm from don't have to eat at all. But they do anyway sometimes because things taste good and it makes them feel good. Especially cake. Have you ever had cake?" A pause. "Milkshakes! Yo need to try one! I think I said it before. I bet you'd like it a lot!"
She seemed to calm down after several moments of babbling about sweets and how she enjoyed them, eventually turning her gaze down to him once more. "... You look bored. What kind of information are you looking for? Do you want help? I'm good at helping sometimes."
no subject
[She should be ready to draw her weapons at any point, but she'll wait for a moment.]
no subject
But knowing didn't feel pressing.
"I can imagine." He does enjoy listening to screams of fear and pain, and has been berated for it by Nan Dou on occasion. Not that he cares what the Overseer of Life says; as Overseer of Death, he can freely be cruel whenever he wants to. "How sad, that all things have to reach an end." Although he could revive the dead and make them suffer more, of course. But at the moment, they were, at least their insides, being devoured by snakes.
no subject
Koishi pleasssssseeeeeeee ismore like that XD sgdgs
He still found them repulsive alive or not. They're disgusting humans. He had no use for them and he was done with them when he was done with them. That was how it worked with Marde. Unfortunately, he seemed to have a little helper, whether he chose to or not.
She still spoke quite a lot. He waved his fingers round toying with his thorns that were still wrapped around one of the last bodies.
"Marde Guille has little interest in such feeble things. Sustenance is not something Marde Guille requires."
They were human food, human nutrition. He would not be caught ingesting that.
"Marde Guille has no reason to disclose such information."
no subject
[ He replied. He had little time to play games with self righteous humans. ]
no subject
"Is that so?" he replied raising a brow. A seemingly strange man had approached him, sharing something he might have not expected, but it would be a lie to say that Marde Guille wasn't intrigued by it.
"Ending-- no longer existing, such things are part of the cycle."
no subject
He seemed to be a slight bit interested by the cat's response. He doesn't need to know, seeing he hardly cared about anyone. He's not one to talk about his plans or what he is doing.
"That, Marde Guille has no reason to answer."
I NO, RITE?
"Milkshakes aren't feeble. They're really thick unless you let them melt. I bet you would like them. Also, sustenance isn't the point of milkshakes. The point is they taste good!" She reached into her pocket, pulling out a little money. "I can buy them. Do you like strawberries? Or vanilla? Or maybe chocolate?" She was really relentless...
A pause, Koishi looking up from the money in her hand. "Mister... You have a lot of pride. You know that, right?" She licked some blood off of one finger, licking her lips clean. "And you're really strong too so there's a good reason for that pride. Sometimes it's better to ask for help though. Because getting help can make things a lot easier."
XD HAAHAHAHA sersly. He wish he could rid himself of her sometimes D|
"They sound repulsive. Marde Guille has no use for tasteful things."
Again, the idea of him consuming anything at this point was not going to happen, no matter how hard she was trying to push it on him.
"Those who are powerful have the right to be prideful. Marde Guille is one of the strongest Demons of Zeref's Books. It is only natural to have confidence in Marde Guille's abilities."
Good luck with that... No, really. It's almost impossible.
"I know. Unless the power gets in the way of things. Then its bad. But I know a bunch of youkai who are really powerful or smart or quick and they're proud of what they do. And I bet you've done a lot of great things too." Her voice didn't sound condescending at all. It was completely sincere, her third eye open a fraction, a sliver of white visible. "But you shouldn't be too proud either because I want to help you. I don't have a magic book searching power but I might know where you can find it. I know a lot of things too."
Fortunately she didn't bring up the milkshake again. Or eating in general. Hopefully it would stay that way... hopefully.
YEAH HE CAN SEE THAT SOBS.
"Marde Guille has done things that not many others have done," including the Guild of E.N.D. that he had seriously taking care of for the benefit of every one of the Demons of Tartaros. He watched it with some fascination in attempts to observe it and see what it was capable of. She always mentally nudged him in strange ways. Such a freakish creature, yet powerful.
"Is that so?" he mused, a raised brow at the comment. It was good that she didn't. He would further turn her down.
DON'T CRY! SHE'LL JUST BOTHER YOU MORE!!!
"I'm sorry my head is tired right now. So sometimes its hard to think." She smiled again. "It's normal for me so don't worry, okay?" She reached out to take her eye. It was slightly open again.
She drifted a bit to one side, moving more in front of him, tilting her head and entire upper torso to one side. "I can't help youuu unless you tell me what it is you waaaaaaant. I'm not a mind reader... Well, anymore."
sdghkhskh no thanks please stop XD
He blankly stared at it for a moment, her eye before she spoke again. He ignored her first statement.
"I don't require assistance. The information will eventually, make itself known. Humans are such slow creatures. They're hardly useful."
KOISHI WILL NEVER STOP!
She looked up at him, brightening once more. "Do you like animals mister?" She reached into her pocket and pulled out... A hamster? Yes that was a hamster. No doubt about it. It was a golden color with a white belly and two little smears of black or dark brown on its neck.
"This is Itokuzu. She likes strawberries the best. Hamsters are really soft and feel nice to hold and pet. Also they're really cute. Do you like cute things?"
i'm sorry for the delay, I have absolutely no excuse. feel free to ignore this if you want to.
"Perhaps." He couldn't be too specific, could he? It was not what gods were supposed to do, after all. And he was not one to interfere all that much, unless he had some form of entertainment to gain from it.
"True. And the ending is the best part to see, as well." How many endings has he not seen? Lives, eras, kingdoms...
no it's quite alright :) i don't usually drop things if anyone wants to continue!
"Perhaps?" he mused, seemingly unfazed, while waiting for an answer. He's never had the luxury of meeting a god, so, this might be a learning experience for him.
"In more ways than one. It can bring forth a new beginning."
no subject
"Perhaps," he repeats. It won't be as easy as that to get him to continue his train of thought. The demon seems interesting, but not so interesting that he would share wisdom just like that.
"And would you be looking for any particular new beginning after any particular end?"
no subject
"If I am?"
He mused, as a matter-of-fact. Marde Guile wanted destruction of the human race, and he would go through any lengths to obtain t hat goal for Tataros, for E.N.D. and for Zeref. After all he was made to kill Zeref. At least, that was what they were conditioned to believe.
