One: Video

[After waking up with no idea where she was on a mysterious boat, and moving up from said boat to discover a city she did not recognize in the least, Yang had just plopped herself down on a nearby bench. When it came to weirdness and oddity, the teen generally needed a few minutes to really process through all of it, so that's what she was doing. It wasn't helping very much, but at least the urge to scream was starting to fade?]

[Instead she turned on the walkie-talkie thing, flipping slowly through the options until she found what she hoped was some sort of video feature. On a social network? Something like that. It would have to do for now, anyway.]

Uh. Hey. I'm Yang. [She gives the screen a little wave.] Not really sure what's going on? I found these pamphlet things but, didn't really read 'em yet.

[She pauses, and her expression turns a bit frustrated as she points over her shoulder, back towards where she had emerged after waking up.]

Look, anybody else just wake up a boat? 'cause that's a thing that happened, and it's still freaking me out a little bit.

[She sucks in a breath and then runs her hand through her hair, tugging on it in frustration.] Right, anyway. I guess I'll just...read these? 'cause that'll help... Thanks.

[She waves again and then clicks the screen off.]

[ She would've been right. ]

He's a prince back in his world like I'm an heiress back in ours. Back then, he worked in a tea shop. Which he was really good at, but he had other things he had to focus on career-wise.

[ Some of which she'll be filling Yang in on when they're in person and not talking on the network, but there are some things even she has to keep quiet about. ]

Must be weird, worrying about money now, huh? [You're almost a normal person, Weiss!]

I think I'm almost there? Kind of guessing.

It won't be for too much longer. [ She's had it up to here with not being able to afford everything she wants when she wants it. ]

From what I can see, it looks like it. If it makes you feel any better, once you get here I think you have a motorcycle in the garage, so you won't have to walk everywhere.

Oh? Big plans?

[She brightens.]

My bike is here?

[Yang sees Weiss in the distance and lowers her phone, waving.]

I've spent nearly 10 months here being a waitress, then a manager, and people are still telling me that I'm not living up to what they expect of someone like me. So yes, big plans.

[ That's about as close to talking to someone as she's gotten regarding that though, beyond the people who've implied things like that-- even if they meant it harmlessly. ]

I think so? I don't really go into the garage much, that's sort of your and Ruby's area. Though Neptune is going to teach me how to drive, so I might need some of it if I can afford a car eventual-

[ She blinks when her phone gets lowered and looks up, waving back to her and heading toward her a little. Frost follows suit, jingling along the way with a little bell on his collar. ]

[Yang hooks the phone to her belt once she's close enough, looking over at the house.]

Nice place. And somehow I am not surprised you aren't a garage person, Weiss. [She grins.]

I'm sure I can find it. Hey there little guy!

[If the puppy gets close enough, she is getting scooped off the ground!]

[ Frost definitely gets swooped up then, because he's a curious little dog, though he does bark at being picked up by a stranger without even getting to sniff her first. ]

Thanks. I'm more of a foyer and breakfast nook person.

[ She very much enjoys the breakfast nook ok. ]

I'll get you a key later today. Come on.

[ It was cold after all, so Weiss isn't hesitating to lead her through the front door. ]

Hey, hey, chill, it's cool. [She shushes the puppy, squishing her in her arms to try and settle her down, and letting her sniff her hand as she follows Weiss inside.]

But what happens when your breakfast nook breaks and you have no idea how to fix it?

[Could that even happen? Yang wasn't entirely sure what a breakfast nook was...]

[ Frost seems to be a pretty easygoing dog since he just settles down after the first few barks and getting to sniff Yang's hand. He's just excited. ]

If it breaks I'm blaming you since it's a small dining area for casual food instead of using the whole dining area.

[ Basically, if anyone touches her dining room with the nice dining stuff a bunch of people got her and anything breaks she will end someone, so using the breakfast nook is the nice, safe, quick option. ]

...Isn't that what the kitchen table is for?

[Some people didn't grow up with multiple food-consuming areas, Rich Girl.]

[Once they're inside, Yang sets Frost down again and starts looking around, taking in everything.]

Not bad.

There's a breakfast nook and a dining room. The nook is connected to the kitchen, so that is probably what you're referring to.

[ Frost is going to follow Yang around happily in the house at her feet. ]

We just purchased it, so it's all fairly new. Ruby called dibs on the master bedroom, Blake and my rooms are upstairs. Your stuff.. the stuff you had before is in that room.

[ Weiss walks over to where she can see it so she can point to it. ] But you can move into any unused room you want. That one has its own bathroom attached, we have to share upstairs.

So it's the kitchen table. It doesn't need another name like 'nook.'

[Ah well, on to more important matters...]

My stuff. [Yang echoes this softly as she looks towards the indicated room, her expression uncertain. Her stuff. Because that made sense. But hey.]

I get my own bathroom, huh? [She manages a grin there.]

It's a nook.

[ She pauses for a moment. ] Anything you don't want I would suggest pawning for cash instead of tossing it. Except for the presents. There should still be some in there for you from Christmas.

For more of that board game money, I guess. [Which was a thought. She'd need some sort of job?]

Presents? Well...they weren't really for me though, were they?

Well, we do need it if we want to keep the house and not get all of us stuck back in a tiny little apartment with paper-thin walls.

[ Weiss gets out a little raw hide bone from a cabinet on the wall, which Frost runs up and takes while Weiss gives him a little pat, then runs off with it. Then she turns back to Yang. ]

I know at least two of them are from me and I'm giving them to you now, so at least don't throw them away. You're the same person I know from home whether you were here before or not. I don't really care if you don't remember, you're still Yang.

Right. Job it is, then. [Yang was not really a day job kind of person.]

Yeah but- [She wanted to object. She wanted to point out that if she couldn't remember it, if she'd never remember it, then it wasn't her. But at the same time, she did need stuff. She only had the clothes on her back.]

Alright, if you say so.

It's not the same one you used to have, but.. I think you should talk to Sun about that. His job seems more up your alley in my opinion.

[ At the very least, she thinks Yang would have more fun working with Sun. ]

...What's he do? [Not that Yang didn't trust Weiss, but sometimes her ideas were a bit...out there.]

He works out in Fayren. He goes into the forest for supplies and fights monsters in the area for the townspeople there. He has a little office and everything.

Oh. [Well.] That does sound pretty cool. What're the monsters like here? Professor Ozpin already warned me not to pick fights with anything.

It depends on which city you're in. Genessia itself is relatively free from monsters. Fayren has a lot of monsters in the forests, like trolls or ogres. Don't kill the dragons if you meet one, just.. get out of there, preferably. I don't think they usually bother people so it shouldn't be an issue. Everglade I think is ghosts and vampires, someone told me they heard a werewolf over there once but I don't know how they would be able to tell the difference. Also some of the demons are actual people and some of them are okay, whereas some have actually attempted to destroy the entire city with an army from hell and blew up a hospital.

It really just depends, but I wouldn't say you shouldn't pick any fights. They even post bounties in the newspaper sometimes, you can get paid for picking fights like that.

Hmm. [Thoughtful Yang s Thoughtful.]

Bounties, huh? You ever tried for any of them?

A couple in the past. Some are easier than others.

Sounds a lot better than a desk job. [Yang grins, still looking around the house.] And I'm guessing money is a thing, since we bought a house. Is there rent I need to make?

We make monthly payments, yes. And we all have to do chores too. We can probably discuss that with everyone to sort it out.
