I guess I should apologize for not really being around much. It seems people can get sucked into their work quite easily, but I think I've managed to do all that I can with Alter Ego. It was a long process but I've managed to sort that and a few programs out that I'm thinking of selling in Nova City. They aren't anything big though and they probably aren't my best work, but it's something.

An-Anyway should any one have any computer trouble, or program trouble or anything like that and they need help. I'd be more than happy to help, just let me know.

They are just very basic. Kind of like helper programs.

That sounds useful. What hardware will these programs run on?

At the moment I've been trying to see if I could connect them to these devices, but that wasn't very successful. So I've ended up using more of the type of hardware one might find in Nova City. So basically hardware that works on more advanced computers. Although like Alter Ego, I do have some that work on very basic and older hardware.

Connecting them to Genessia's devices would be convenient; but Nova City's hardware isn't exactly inexpensive when it comes to small devices. If there is any way I can help, feel free to contact me.

I should be fine for now, but thank you. That is what I thought though that it would be convenient, but as I mentioned it doesn't work at all.

I have for at least thirty minutes a day.

I can't really say. I like to think that I am a bit stronger, but I don't really know.

You're into computers? What kinds of apps are you working on? Just comp or phones too?

Yes. it's was actually my job back home in a sense. [He was working on AI's back then... Still is technically.]

It depends on the program. I have ne that would be like a helper of some kind and others are just very basic apps. Did you have anything you would want in particular?

Games.. Something like Vine could be fun! Instagram stuff. I figured out how to tweet but it here it just posts here. :(

Is it okay t ask what Vine is exactly? And yeah, I believe most things like that will just end up coming on here... I don't think there is a way to make it not.

I don't know really. I mean I can't really say why they aren't on this device and why we are the only ones who have such a thing. I mean you can get things like computers but no way to connect them. I'm hoping to one day find a way around that though.

Not really?? It makes the lack of smart phones even worse.

'Alter Ego'? Is that a name for one of your programs?

Yes it is. It's what people would call an AI or Artificial Intelligence.

Interesting. I weren't aware A.I.'s were a possibility yet.

The idea of people creating intelligent beings of their own always seemed strange to me.

Ah, they were somewhat possible where I was from. I never actually knew if the Alter Ego I left behind worked. So I can't say back home if it was a success, but here and being in Nova City helped me perfect it a little bit.

It might be strange but it will be something that can help. At least that is my hopes anyway.

I wonder about that. Still, if artificial beings can achieve the same level of awareness and will that humans have, those creations of yours may reach a point where they no longer need their creators.

What will you do then?

It might now, I am already aware of this, but considering the ones I've done are based on my own personality it would be a while before that was possible.

What will I do when? You mean when they won't need me any more? I always have other programs.

You never know. They may develop faster than you expect them to.

It wouldn't bother you, then? I would imagine it could be a painful feeling when your creations no longer need you.

Alter Ego learns by typing to them as there are no means of getting information anywhere else except on where I created them. So they can learn fast they just can't get the information.

It's like watching a child grow up into an adult. I like to think of it as the same thing with my programs.

So you can cut them off from outside influences? That may be an affective way of keeping them subdued, at least until they realise exactly what you are doing. Do you think those 'programs' will resent your interference in that way?

...I suppose so. Eventually they will desire to leave their creators behind...perhaps that is an inevitability.

It's not exactly intentional that I cut them off. I don't actually have any way of getting them access should they ask. I would never deny them that should they ask. I mean we don't exactly have access to the interest which is what one can use to get around.

Of course. That's how one knows they have done a good job.

Mm, that makes sense. At least you are willing to give them their desires, should they ask to see the truth. That is your duty as their creator, after all.

It is. Though I feel like I might not always be able to, but it doesn't stop me from trying.

Yes, really. I mean to be an AI is very much like a child. As they learn and grow up they'll eventually need to be independent. When that comes, I know I've done a good job.

Of course. Doing what is within our power to accomplish that is all we can do, for their sakes.

As I understand, parents protect and guide their children, at least until the time comes that they wish to see the truths of their world themselves. I suppose it is the same with these AIs.

... Still, do you really believe you should attempt to take the role of a God?

I'm not taking the role of God though, even though one might see it that way.

You have created intelligent beings in an artificial world. Do you not think it reasonable to accuse you of trying to take a God's role?

...Humanity have insisted that they have no need for their Gods, and now they try to become Gods themselves. There's a certain irony to that.
