That's Earth. I'm not from Earth and shit like that won't fly. Gehenna treats all its creatures, dragons and others with respect. Sacred is what they are to Gehenna.

Never said they had to be to humans and jeez your race is pretty damn naive if they think dragons are evil. Ever met one, or talked to one before? Then again it's not like they're all good and rainbows and fucking sunshine anyways.

"You weren't listening. My race, as I said, doesn't consider dragons to be evil. We're fairly indifferent to them, really. I'm not human. I'm a Time Lord," Koschei corrected, his tone somewhere between amused and annoyed.

"Asking if they know how sacred dragons are implies you think humans should revere them. You're asking humans to behave by Gehenna standards. Why are dragons sacred to Gehenna? Simply for being?"

They're like guardians, like the ones I have. They're Oracle Dragons. They protect me and guide me and they lend me their powers. Gehenna is a country with a race of Evils. There's different types of things that live there including Dragons.

"We're the ruling class of Gallifrey, a race of time travelers," Koschei explained. "We don't interact with others much."

Koschei sometimes questioned Gallifrey's aloof attitude, but he never doubted that they were intellectual and technological leaders of their universe. It didn't matter much to him, if other species knew that or not.

"Oracle dragons. Dragons that can actually tell you the future? Well, I can see why you would value that, but supposedly Earth dragons aren't quite so helpful. I believe in Earth stories they just go around eating people and setting things on fire."

"Time Travelers huh?" now that's kind of out of her league a bit. There's no such things in her world.

"Makes sense I guess."

She shrugged. It's how he was and she's not going to question it. People had their reasons but at least, he's rational about.

"Well, something like that. They can also do other things of course. It's not all they're good for," She replied seriously, "Well, Dragons are Dragons. Whatever form they take. It's not like they're all bad. Stories are just stories."

"Well, there's no reason dragons on Earth have to be the same as those on Gehenna. True, stories can be misleading and exaggerated, but the ideas in them come from somewhere," Koschei said, musing. "But, not all of them are good either. Which is the exception and which the rule?"

"You protect what you think is right. If it's justified, then it's justified. Dragons are like that. If it can be a reasonable justification then there's no point in slaughter, and if you can't reason, then that's where you take action. I hate watching people hack at Dragons for misleading stories without evidence. Of course, Gehenna dragons are different and so are other dragons but there's still a fine line between what is justified or not."

"I can't agree with that. To a dragon, eating me is justified, if he is hungry. Very well. I'm still going to try and kill it, before it can kill me, even if I agree his actions are justified. After all, I can't blame something for trying to survive. Still, what about the rumours of people being kidnapped?"

"The world isn't as black and white as you seem to put it to be. If it was hungry and it tried to eat you then you have the right to defend yourself right? The result is either you kill it or it kills you. if you kill it then it's justified cuz it's your defense.

It's kind of annoying to think that there are people who don't get it."

"Black and white? I'm not sure what you mean by that. Yes I would be justified in killing it for my defense, just as it would be justified in eating me in order to live. Right and wrong really isn't the issue, more just...survival," Koschei explained.

"It means you can't see things as just good or bad. There's gray areas."

She nodded her head, "Yeah something like that. That's what I mean."

She retorted crossing her arms.

"I know what it means," Koschei snapped, irritated that she thought he would be unfamiliar with such a simple concept. "I just don't think it applies to our discussion. As I said, this isn't about right and wrong. It's about survival. If the dragons are a nuisance or a danger, then killing them is simply practical. Do you have proof the dragons here are similar to the ones on your world?"
