[Action]

[For a good three hours the new arrival sat frozen, not far from where he woke, too scared to move. This must have been a dream, and maybe if he refused to react to it, he'd finally wake up, back in his own room, where it was safe and the closest thing to reality shifting was the video games he played. That's how it worked, right?

It wasn't working.

After some pathetic sounds that sounded close to sobs, a fit where he outright panicked and shouted for his friends (or anyone) later, Mikoto steeled himself and stood up, gripping onto the folder like it was a lifeline.

He took two steps before he sat back down and retreated within himself again. Yeah, no, he's not going anywhere.

Still... He played with the videophone in his hand a little. At least one thing made some sense in this place. It wasn't too different from his phone back home. After some hesitation, he turned it on, his face barely visible and eyes averted to the ground.]

[Considering Yuna has never really been on a date herself, she didn't actually have a clue.]

Um, well... I mean there are businesses with pamphlets at the centre with places I'm sure people would go on dates for, but I would know personally. I know there are lots of places to eat at least.

[he's genuinely surprised, but almost against his will his mouth keeps shooting off words.]

If you want someone to change that trend, I'll take you on a date and give you more personal knowledge on the subject.

[She shook her head slightly. She was always so busy for one reason or another.]

Not. But then again I've never really had a reason to, what with work and being busy. [Though them asking her was causing her to become slightly nervous. What was she meant to do to answer that question? She didn't know.]

[She wasn't reacting the way he had anticipated she would. She almost seemed uncomfortable. He could tell, probably because he was secretly mortified himself.

But he didn't know what to do about this! His embarrassment was quickly taking physical form in the deep crimson shade his face was taking on.

She had given him an out, something he should have been infinitely grateful for, but he just hid his face in his arms, rendered nearly useless.]

[She pauses for a moment. She really had no idea what was going on, or what happened. Did she do something wrong? Did she say something that might not have been a good idea. She really, really didn't have a single clue. It takes her a couple minutes to even speak. It was better to fix whatever was going on.]

Ar-Are you okay? Did I do something wrong?

[And suddenly there's another girl poking into the feed.]

Yunie would love to go on a date with you! Just in time for Valentine's Day too!

Isn't that right, Yunie?

[This was enough to cause a reaction out of Yuna. Rikku, why are you doing this to the poor girl?]

Ri-Rikku?! What are you doing?

It's perfect! You've been working way too much! Take some time off for once and have some fun! Even Guardians need to relax sometimes!

All work and no play is no good, I agree. And what guy wouldn't be lucky to go on a date with Yuna? I think he should take her out.

[Who are these people.

At least some of the attention is taken away from him. It gives him time to ~~collect himself~~ worry over what's going on.]

[With an audience, his mouth works on autopilot, even while he remains secretly mortified over the words that come out of his mouth.]

I've just never seen anyone as beautiful as you. It left me speechless.

Yuna, was it? The little blonde is right, but I'm afraid there won't be a lot of room for relaxing on a date with me.

[He smiles flirtatiously oh god why is he saying this.]

Valentine's Day happens to be my birthday. I can't think of a better present than to have you wrapped up with me.

[Yuna feels like she has been driven into a corner here. It would seem rude to say no now. Rikku she will be having stern words in the future about this. Never do this again.]

Well... I guess it would seem rude to say no when it's on someone's birthday.

[She would feel really bad otherwise. She is just going to suck it up and deal with it.]

Now..Mikoto, your name was? Make sure you have her home by at least 5am.

[She's clearly enjoying this more than she should.]

[He feels lightheaded, and not in a good way.

Somehow, he manages a small nod, a little whimper that might be an affirmation to their questions.]

[She feels like she should really apologize for the other two. So for now she gives a small bow.]

I am so sorry about what happened, but I'll make sure it will be something fun.

[And make it less awkward.]

[His cheeks and ears pinken at first, but he bows back.]

I can think of a few fun things we could do together, but if this is your first time doing something like this, it might be too much.

[He smirks at her, then manages a weak "Excuse me for one second," and turns off the communicator to scream in first-hand embarrassment at his words. When he turns it back on, he looks completely unruffled.]

Anyway.

[She is just going to sit there quietly, sighing with relief that Rikku and Gippel seemed to have stopped making this whole thing much worse than it should be.]

Oh, will you tell me what they are?

[She says that so earnestly he wonders if she even knows what he's implying. He continues to blurt things out before he even thinks about whether or not it's a good idea to.]

Hold on, let's not rush things, my little lamb, at least not until the date. Though, you'll probably forget all about the date, once I show my love to you. I'm just that good.

[He's going to freeze now, in a sort of trance. Did he really just say that?]

[Oh, so that meant no. She also knew she wouldn't forget, not as long as Rikku was around.]

I'm sure I won't forget. So would it be okay to say we'll meet near the Bay? It's the easiest place to find at least.
