[For a good three hours the new arrival sat frozen, not far from where he woke, too scared to move. This must have been a dream, and maybe if he refused to react to it, he'd finally wake up, back in his own room, where it was safe and the closest thing to reality shifting was the video games he played. That's how it worked, right?

It wasn't working.

After some pathetic sounds that sounded close to sobs, a fit where he outright panicked and shouted for his friends (or anyone) later, Mikoto steeled himself and stood up, gripping onto the folder like it was a lifeline.

He took two steps before he sat back down and retreated within himself again. Yeah, no, he's not going anywhere.

Still... He played with the videophone in his hand a little. At least one thing made some sense in this place. It wasn't too different from his phone back home. After some hesitation, he turned it on, his face barely visible and eyes averted to the ground.]

[ She does silent for a moment, a break that is conveniently bridged by the waiter bringing this drinks. ]

The garden park is beautiful, the library is fascinatingly well-stocked, most people are quite welcoming to strangers and help them get settled and Attleton, the city I live in, is nicely quiet. It's a quite random assortment of things that come to mind, I'm afraid. I've not been here very long either after all.

[Mikoto thanks the waiter, then Augusta, unwrapping the sugar packets and pouring them in. At least he has to lean forward to sit normally now. None of those things sound particularly appealing, but nothing sounds terrible, either.

He's hesitant to ask what he really wants. She's from a different time period, so she might not judge him, but he doesn't want to risk it. He can figure out if they have video games on his own. If they don't, he has no idea how he'll manage here.]

The stranger happenings are mostly in the other three cities, particularly Fayren lately. There's... a lot of supernatural creatures living there. But considering the cities are separated, it has been fairly easy to avoid out-the-ordinary experiences for me so far.

Supernatural creatures like mages and elves and demons and stuff?

I don't know anything about stuff like that! [He waves his hands in front of his face, desperate to downplay his knowledge.] It's what anyone would think of when they hear the word supernatural!

[ The extreme dismissal of his knowledge is more what makes her raise an eyebrow than anything else, really. She's from Europe in the 30s, how would you judge you for Otaku culture... ]

Yes, like that. It's pretty impressive, but I've not went there often. There were dragon attacks lately.

[ What unexpected enthusiasm that is suddenly surfacing... Augusta finds herself unable to do anything but shrug though. ]

I haven't studied creatures like that and I have not tried to encounter any, considering they are dangerous, so I don't really know.

You'd probably have to bait it, somehow, or use a rune to summon it...or go into their territory. Otherwise, it's hit-or-miss.

[He shrugs, looks to the side, trying to keep his voice calm.]

Just guessing. I'd want to see one, but only to brag about it to girls later on.
