V ✖ KILL 【Log】
Who: Mikasa Ackerman, Jean Kirstein, Armin Alert, Marco Bodt, & Eren Jaeger [If he'd like to]
What: Jean has been having emotional issues and Mikasa feels the need to talk to him in private about it. It is also Mikasa's birthday today and even though she won't say anything about it, it seems the others have found out. [Keeping them both in one log to keep from multiple posts]
When: February 10th
Where: Casa AoT
Style: Starting in 1st, but I can change to 3rd if wanted.
[She's warned Jean right off the bat that Marco had no memories of ever dying and yet... He's still let his emotions give away that something was wrong. Not that Mikasa really blamed him... She knew it would be hard on him, but she thought he'd still understand what was required of him. If he didn't want Marco to know that he'd died or something was wrong, he had to be strong and try to keep from Marco being worried that he'd done something wrong when he hadn't.
So seeming as Jean is opted to stay in a motel with what was going on with Marco, she made her way to where he was staying temporary(because she wasn't going to allow him to stay there for long). So early in the morning, Jean will hear knocking on his door.]
Jean, it's me. We need to talk.
[ L A T E R ]
[It was Mikasa's birthday, but she'd never really put much thought into it. Most people were happy to have their birthdays happen, but for Mikasa it was just another day. She had other things to worry about back at home, so she never expected much. Why should that change now? Despite not saying or doing anything about it, it seems that her new roommates had a different idea about her birthday.]

[Oh. Thank Sina. Luke was just a kid. He hadn't realized his shoulders had tensed up until he relaxed.]
And he owns a shop?
no subject
Well, he had to get a job like the rest of us. He figured that was the best way to go about it, but I do worry that it'll be too much for him sometimes. Honestly, I can't really say I'm much of a tea person, but if it means I can help him out a little and help him get on his feet, than I could do that much as to at least pretend I like it.
no subject
Remind me to never invite you out for tea. [He realizes what he just said, and goes silent, fearing he'll stumble over his next words. After what is for him an awkward pause, he continues.] That's kind of you. I could see it going either way in terms of success, but it has to be hard to be stuck with that much responsibility all at once.
no subject
Just because tea isn't exactly one of my favorite things doesn't mean I won't drink it.
[AKA feel free to invite her out for anything else. In the middle of their talking, the waitress came back to take their order after setting down their drinks. Once asked what they'd like to eat, Mikasa told the waitress what she wanted. After taking Jeans order, the cheerful waitress went on her way to put the orders in.]
I guess it's hard to say until you try. I was actually considering starting some sort of business, but I have no idea what I'd do.
no subject
Well, what drinks are your favorite?
[He'd keep that information to himself for future reference. After thanking the waitress, he turned his attention back to Mikasa. He had to admit, he was pleasantly surprised. It was good to see her with ambitions and hopes outside of the very small circle of people he was accustomed to seeing her with. Was being here helping, or had he just not made enough effort trying to talk to her in the first place? Probably both.]
I could learn more and help you, if you really are interested in doing that. Maybe start with your interests?
no subject
[Stuff she found out about here really... Honestly, being here was sort of helping her be a bit more social, but Mikasa was still Mikasa.]
The only thing is... I haven't really thought about what interests me much. Not since back home we had to worry more about surviving and hopefully saving lives. I didn't exactly have a reason to have to search for hobbies.
[And maybe he can tell, but she does seem bothered by that. It wasn't a big deal, but it was a little strange to not really even know that much. Being so preoccupied and basically living for Eren and Armin made that a bit... lacking as far as hobbies.]
no subject
Drink it outside of mornings?
[Wow why can he not do sentences. He has no trouble finding his words around anyone else. Frustrated with himself, he rested his chin in his palm. But his anger was quick to wear down.]
You've got plenty of free time now to figure it out. Just, think of something you thought was interesting, or you might want to do, and do it.
no subject
[A little surprised, even though she shouldn't be, but she couldn't help that faint smile again. And by then their food came out, after the waitress was sure that they were fine, she went off to another table.]
Of course. I'm still just thinking things through yet.
no subject
[He smiled like a huge dork. Two smiles in one day, Kirstein, he was very pleased with himself. He took a sip of his drink to try and cool down his face.]
You will. I have no doubt you're capable of anything when you set your mind to it. It depends on the situation , but you're sometimes one of the most persistent people I know.
no subject
[Was that a joke? I do believe it was.]

[Since clearly Mikasa has no idea.]

I'm kind of interested in the technology in Nova City. I think it could do a lot of good for everyone, if used properly.
[Great answer, Jean.]
no subject
[And she'd have to learn more about technology because besides her communicator/phone/whatever, she doesn't really know much even now. And then a though came to mind.]
I met someone here that showed me something called an arcade... I know it's not really something for business, but they had some games they called "video games".
[Take that as you will, Jean. Is she offering to show you the place or just talking about it? Who knows?]
no subject
[He frowned, unable to picture it in his head.]
Is that some sort of advanced type of card game?
no subject
[And then a moment of silence after she took a bite of her food, concentrating on it.]/small>
I can show you the place if you'd like. I found it again later on.
no subject
[Oh. Were they talking about things that were fun? He blinked, snapping out of his thoughts. He started to take a bit of his food, but he paused when he realized what she was implying.]
Uh. [Speak. Say something, damnit.] Yeah. I'd like that. [A lot. A lot more than a lot. Can they just stay stuck forever?]
no subject
[They were.. Or at least... are supposed to be fun?? The last time David showed Mikasa video games, she was so confused by them. Maybe Jean would like them though...? She was quiet for a moment, focusing on her food to hide that hint of shyness.]
Okay. After we eat, I'll show the way.
no subject
[Oh, right, food. This was probably the closest to euphoric that Jean has ever felt. The video games sounded worth looking into, for sure, but Mikasa wanted to spend more time with him. The table suddenly became very interesting, but he'd occasionally glance at her to see what she was doing.]
no subject
And this was a simple lunch, but yet... She really was enjoying herself surprisingly enough. Maybe she didn't give him enough credit? Or maybe being here and learning to just relax as much as she could made her see things a little differently.
How long has it been since they could have fun with anything, really? I mean, this place was one thing but they never really had down time back home. Finishing her food, she took a drink of her water silently as she reached for the bottom of her scarf lightly.
This was so foreign for her and it really shouldn't have been. Not after this long.]
no subject
He caught the small motion, and after finishing his drink (something sweet, he was determined to try everything), he decided to go for the subject.]
You really like that scarf. It looks good on you. Red's a good color on you. It's just...you wear it a lot.
no subject
She seemed to snap out of her daze with that comment, thinking for a moment before speaking.]
It's... one of the most important things that I have. [Tugged part of it over her mouth, she seemed a bit on edge on the subject.] It... marks the start of a new chapter in my life, but that's been a good number of years now.
no subject
Ah. It suits you.
[He left it at that, not wanting to make her feel more awkward by apologizing.]
The food was pretty good. I wasn't sure what it would be like, but it's nice to be able to do this. [Once the waitress gave him the check, he made sure to pay and leave a tip, and stood up.]
no subject
R-Right... [And seeming as he didn't push it, she could relax a little, even if she didn't realize she was so tense thinking about her past.] Y-yeah.. It's... nice.
We... should get going then.
[Turning away to hide that faint tint of red that covered her cheeks, she started towards the door.]
Thank you, by the way.
