[Video] [Backdated to the 7th]
[When the feed clicks on, Gamagori is actually looking a little ragged around the edges. He's in his room at the academy, but looks like he hasn't slept for about a month and he has bruises and the like strewn over every inch of him. He's wearing his uniform's shirt more like a cape, with it just draped over his shoulders, exposing a bit of his chest. Over one eye he holds an ice pack.]
I have a few things to say and... don't seem to have the energy to make multiple filters or posts, so I'm just going to say it here.
To Lady Satsuki... I feel like I've failed you for a third time now. I know you are busy at the moment, but I will gladly submit myself to any punishment you see fit.
To Nonon and Koishi, I understand you were responsible for defeating the creature standing guard over where the captives were being held. I encourage any and all affected by this to offer their gratitude to them.
[He leans back in his chair, moving the ice pack from his face for a moment seemingly lost in thought as to what else he should say. ...Maybe dozing off for a minute. He then just mumbles something about making another post later and ends the feed.]
She figures, yes, she should be polite and thank the people that freed everyone from the crystals. She doesn't want to give anyone the wrong idea anyway, like that she doesn't know how to feel after the fight, after the death, after the (imagined or real, who can tell) isolation between herself and the living.
Living? Maka, that's ridiculous, of course you're alive.]
I'll be sure to thank them.
[Her expression doesn't look as friendly as she wants it to be, she can't even manage a fake smile.]
I have to thank you, too, Mr. Gamagori--for carrying me out.
[The majority of the bruising came from being sucked into the walls of the tower before finally kicking the bucket.]
It was the least I could do, considering our condition. Thanks to my uniform, I was able to regain my senses faster.
[Life Fibers had their benefits, but he wasn't about to trust them. Not by a far shot.]
Do you really think she wants to put you through more physical harm and emotional trauma? Don't mock a woman's relief at your survival with offers at further pain and punishment. Just let Satsuki know you're recovering well and give a recovery date with promises of when you can expect to grant her ever wish once more.
As Disciplinary Committee Chairman, it is my duty to lead by example. It is my job to ensure all the students here know that Satsuki-sama does not reward failures. If she does not wish to punish me for my indiscretions, I will simply take it upon myself to administer the proper punishments.
That is how Honnouji Academy operates.
Re: [Video]
I have done nothing to warrant a reward. I have failed in my duties and reparations must be made.
Re: [Video]
[A long sigh is given, perhaps a bit of an eyeroll for added effect. Because she's mature like that.]
I plan on going to the colosium in a few nights. If you happen to want to come along I won't stop you.
[Perhaps his dedication to Satsuki touched her a little? Naaah... Must be your imagination.]

[Action]
While it probably would have been best if she had stayed in the hospital for another day, she simply wouldn't be contained. With her shoulder and elbow joints healed enough to function, the doctors simply put her wrist in a rather heavy splint and gave her a sling to rest her arm in to let her bones finish mending. Especially her wrist which still pained her greatly to try and move.
So now she found herself opening the door to Gamagori's room, wandering inside, walking right over to him. She climbed up onto one of his knees, sitting there. To help ensure she was noticed she reached up and removed her hat, tendrils taking the hat and sliding out of her sleeve, reaching up and up and placing the article on his head.
"Mister Big? Can you see me now?"
[Action]
Gamagori had heard how badly Koishi had been injured in saving the captives from the tower. He had expected her to be staying in the hospital for closer to a week rather than less than 24 hours. He'd remained quiet when he heard his door open more out of a lack of energy than anything. Though with her perched on his knee and hat on head, he really couldn't ignore her.
He didn't open his eyes but he did at least respond. "I see you, Koishi. Are you sure you should be away from the hospital?"
Re: [Action]
"I don't need to be in bed anymore. Sis made the nice man in the white coat bring me to the little box that hums again. They took pictures of my chest and arm and my bones are much better now. I'm a youkai so I heal much faster than humans. But he also said I have to wear this for a while." Koishi tried to raise her arm for Gamagori to see, despite the fact he still had his eyes closed. He felt her flinch, sucking in air through her teeth. "... Okay my wrist still hurts. A lot. There are lots of little bones in it..."
At least she was being more careful now that she wasn't pumped full of painkillers. "I'm glad my hand didn't get crushed. That would have been really bothersome to heal from."
She seemed to settle down again. Gama could no doubt feel the little Satori's gaze. "Mister Big?" She poked his arm. "I came over to make sure you were okay though. I know I'm okay but you got hurt badly too. And thank you for carrying me. It hurt to move." Her third eye drifted up to nuzzle his cheek.
[Action]
He just sighs a bit, opening one eye to inspect the cast on Koishi's wrist. "According to what Jakazure said, a normal person would probably be in the hospital for a month. Remember that, Koishi. You're lucky to have gotten out so quickly."
He waves a hand dismissively at the subject of his well being. "I am fine. Whatever I was encased in kept me alive and my wounds healed over time thanks to my uniform. Right now I simply feel exhausted, as if every ounce of energy I'd ever had was ripped from me. It will pass in time."
[Action]
"And it's okay if you're tired. You worked really hard and you're really nice so you should rest a whole lot so you feel better. I have a present for you. I hope it will help." ... It's not an animal, is it?
She reached out, several tendrils sliding from her sleeve, wrapping around his wrist that wasn't holding the icepack. She pulled it in carefully, turning his palm up. She had to shift a bit, having some trouble with just one hand before she placed several fragrant and round things into it. Plums.
"We have a plum tree at home planted by a nice frog lady. The plums are special and they'll help make you feel better. They always help me. Even when my head falls off and rolls far away I can remember that tree. So I like to go home when I'm hungry so I never get lost."
[Action]
Gamagori just looks confused at the gift of plums, and a tad horrified when Koishi mentions her head coming off. He sets the plums aside on his desk before sighing a bit.
"I appreciate the thought, Koishi, and I will be sure to eat them. However, it would probably be for the best if you do not mention your head rolling away to Satsuki-sama."
[Action]
Ah. So it was another of Koishi's "riddles." The artery over her shoulder twisted into a more defined heart. "My head doesn't actually come off silly I'd die if that happened. There is a ghost back home who can do it though. She's funny. I haven't actually talked to her though. I was invisible when I saw her and I couldn't focus myself. Not even a little bit. So I went to the village instead. A nice lady gave me some yakitori and patted me on the head!"
It's especially now that she doesn't really know how to deal with her feelings. Her time here has made her a little less chilly and a little more receptive to others feelings. Well one feeling is certain, and that's embarrassment from his apology ringing out to everyone across Genessia.
When she appears on the feed, her cheeks red.]
Explain yourself, Gamagoori.
[Even as exhausted as he still looked, he has the appropriate look of shame on his face as he addresses Satsuki.]
My overconfidence cost me the Shackle Regalia Mk. 1, I couldn't protect you from Ragyo when we made our move... and now this. To put you through what I did... it's simply inexcusable.
I want you to explain to me how you were defeated.
Right.
[A report. He can do that. He actually relaxes a bit as he straightens his back and adopts a more formal tone.]
I was in town servicing a fare when the cultists created a traffic jam at the intersection I was attempting to cross. When the light hit, I attempted to get the car and my passenger out of harm's way, but was unable to move fast enough. The light enveloped us, and the next thing I remember for sure was Jakuzure and Komeji rescuing myself and hundreds more from within the tower.
I have other memories... but they are hazy, like bad dreams.
[That is a minor relief- So Gamagoori didn't suddenly decide to go gung-ho into the situation himself.]
Gamagaoori, I-
[The Guardian still finds herself at a bit of a loss, however. If she doesn't enact some sort of punishment, he will most certainly do it himself and if she allows that.. Well.. It won't be pretty. At all. And she doesn't even know how to express what she's feeling. She's left questioning how she feels about him; did she truly go into this war believing that she would be unaffected by the loss of her Shield?
She just doesn't know.]
That will be all, Gamagoori. I am taking leave tomorrow- Once I return we will discuss a proper resolution to this.
[The urge was there, but his passenger took top priority at the moment, not that it did them any good. Still, he nods, satisfied at the promise of punishment in the near future.]
Very well. I will not take any action on the matter until you return.
[Still, there was the issue of some of the cloudy memories he retained... nightmares more like.]
...Satsuki-sama... I... some of these memories from the time I was captured...
[He trails off, grappling with the idea that he might have attacked her before shaking his head.]
...Never mind. Please, forget I brought it up.
Absolutely not; tell me about these memories. It is entirely possible they could be of some importance.
[She just hopes it isn't anything embarrassing.]
[At this point, Gamagori can't even look into the camera as he speaks.]
In the tower... I vaguely remember being forced... to fight you. If that is true, I'm afraid there's noting I could do to erase that stain on my honor...
[After all, he does care deeply for her... and for a shield to turn on its master was unforgivable.]
Satsuki's expression drops to a frown. One deeper than usual.]
It seems my concern was unfounded; at least not for the right reasons. I will not tolerate you even entertaining the idea that I would allow you to turn against me, Gamagoori.
Consider your punishment doubled. Are we clear?
[He sighs, a load almost visibly lifted from his shoulders, nodding.]
With pleasure, Satsuki-sama. I'm sorry I brought up something so ridiculous.
