[A gloomy-looking girl dressed in pink and white and carrying a weird-looking doll appears on the screen today, looking kind of like she might be in need of a healer, though certainly, she seems to be holding up better than one might think a (supposedly) little girl would be if they were hurt. Actually, and nobody but Arietta would know this, but for someone who is pretty sure she's supposed to be dead, she's surprisingly in better shape than she was before waking up... wherever this is. She didn't really read over the pamphlet that well, and was too spooked by the hologram to hang around and listen to it. Well, at least she wasn't dying, anyways.

Really, she's horribly lost and super confused, because this isn't the Cheagle Woods- or anywhere on Auldrant she's familiar with, really- and her monster friends aren't anywhere to be found, either. If this is some kind of afterlife, it's a really weird one, and it takes some fumbling with the video... whatever it was called- some kind of fontech device, she's assuming- to get it to turn on.]

- Ah, it's on? What am I supposed to do now!? [She hadn't exactly planned this out in advance.] Is this really working? This isn't some kind of trick, is it!?

[SO MANY QUESTIONS... but mostly she's incredibly overwhelmed by her newfound situation, that she can't help but be suspicious of this being some kind of strange trick or dream or something.

People don't normally just... come back from the dead, do they?

It's not a trick, sorry. If you've gone over the little pamphlet, I can say that it's correct. Welcome to a different world, it's stranger here, and keep your necklace handy.

I read some of it, but I didn't understand most of it. It was too confusing.

[Hikari spends at least one point of the day coming to the Bay and seeing if there were any new arrivals. Today just happened to be one of those days that she had chosen to do such a thing. So when she spotted the other she was more than ready to be helpful. So she soon made her way over, a smile on her face.]

Ah, you must be new. Can I help you with anything?

[Well, Hikari doesn't seem like a ~~murderer~~ threat, so Arietta is alright with speaking to her, though she still hides her face behind her doll.]

I can't find my friends.

Your friends? I'm sorry to hear that. If you can tell me who they are, I can quickly check if they are here.

[She felt like it was the least she could do anyway.]

My friends are a hraesvelgr and a liger. They were with me before... but now I can't find them!

[Haha her friends... aren't human.]

O-Oh I'm sorry. I mean, I can't say I would know what they would look like, but if they didn't come with you then odds are they might not be here at all.

[She didn't like telling people that. She wished everyone had someone they knew here.]

But why? If I'm here, they should be here too, shouldn't they?

[Operating under the logic that this is some weird afterlife, that is.]

[She shakes her head slightly.]

Not necessarily. I mean I was with people before I arrived here and I arrived alone. The odds are the same here.

No! If they're not here, then...

[Ahhh she doesn't want to think about it. Why her, then, and not them? First Mommy, then Ion, and now her monster friends. This was super unfair.]

H-Hey...I'm sure they might eventually, who knows.

[She doesn't want to see anyone be upset over friends that aren't here.]

I-I'm sorry, but this isn't some trick. But usually what one is suppose to do is try and find a place to live first.

[He thought that would be easy enough anyway.]

How am I supposed to do that, though? I don't even know why I'm here!

[Look, when you just wake up from being supposedly dead you don't just resume your daily life as if it didn't happen!]

There is a place called a welcome committee place where you can get help.

[He felt like that would be helpful a little bit.]

[But she doesn't want to talk to people! But then... they probably have an answer for what's going on exactly.]

It's not far from where the Bay is which would have been the place you arrived at.

Si! You can talk-a to everybody in-a Genessia! Isn't it-a great?

[Well hello there. Said cheerful sea lion has Arietta's attention, as he's not human, though she still remains gloomy.]

I don't want to talk to everyone, though.

[Well, considering it's one of the places with water there, this waterbender returns there sometimes. It also has a lot to do with how she hopes to find out new people from home, or be helpful to newcomers... not that Katara still isn't new herself too.

The waterbender looks worried the moment she sees this new girl, because she really looks like she might be in need of a healer...]

Hey, are you okay?

[Unfamiliar sights and unfamiliar people cause Arietta to draw back slightly, clutching her doll tightly, but Katara doesn't seem threatening, and the God-General lowers her doll, looking uncertain.]

I don't know. [In more ways than one.] I thought I was dead... I know that I died. But then I woke up here and I don't understand.

[Well, that... Sure isn't what she's expecting to hear from anyone or a stranger to admit so openly, so Katara just stares her in shock for a moment.

And another moment goes when she's trying to think what to say now. Katara swallows.]

I -- I'm really sorry you had to go through that, and I'm quite new here myself too, so there's a lot I still don't understand, but...

Maybe I can help i-if you let me? I'm a healer and I promise a checkup won't hurt at all.

[She's not sure if she believes those words, but at least her gentle and compassionate voice might help with the situation.]

[Sorry, she's kind of having a existential crisis right now. Also, she was never taught how to properly communicate with people, since raised by monsters and all. ~~And then treated as a pet.~~]

You're a healer? [Well, that catches her attention.] If you can help, then okay.

[Well, no one can blame her for having a crisis right now, but that just means people can do their best to help her!]

It's part of my ability to control water, we call it waterbending where I'm from. See? [She moves her hand in a circle to pull a small amount of water from the bay to her hands and smiles gently at her.] Okay, let's see what I can do for you.

[Thaaaaat's completely different from the fonic artes she's used to seeing back in Auldrant, and Arietta watches in awe as Katara demonstrates her waterbending skills.

... But she doesn't run off or try to attack or anything, at least. If anything, it gets her to lower her doll, which she had been using to hide behind.]

[... Right. Katara still needs to get used to the fact, that no one here has probably even never ever heard of waterbending, most have probably not even heard of ability to control an element.

She moves her hands, bending the water to circle around herself first while she's smiling at the other girl. And then it goes in small circles between them to give her time to think about it.]
