Well, I have to say,....even I am surprised.

[Blue eyes trained over the paper as she looked back at the device- not knowing if it was on or off. Just in case....She turns her hand and places it on the pod in which she had woken up in. With in seconds, the water in the room was completely frozen over- the room was then covered in ice. Standing up she moved towards the door and adjusted the hat on her head.]

It seems I am not weak after all. Even if this is the world beyond... or perhaps I was transported at the last second? Anything is possible.

[She looks out at the city around her and sighs, holding up the communicator.]

I will test the limits of this place..... if 'he ' is here, I will find him.

[Smirking wickedly- the feed cuts.]

[Esdeath is walking through the city calmly enough. She seems to have picked up pretty quickly that it is no longer the home or world she is from. It didn't matter- as long as this place could amuse her. Still, as she crossed the street- without the aid of a walking signal- she noticed the careening car- heading straight for her. Being unfamiliar with this vehicle, she turns with out panic and ice shoots from the ground, up into the car- crunching it and stopping it from hitting her by about a yard. When she notices a man now stuck in the front seat. Walking over and kicking out the window, she leans in towards the now horrified man.]

What do you call this vehicle?

[She waited until he answered with a name before standing up and nodding.]

I see....this place is interesting indeed......

[Without helping the man, she stood up and walked away, leaving him inside a now frozen car. After all- the weak will fall. If he was strong in any way...he would get out on his own.]

I will need to observe more if I am to fully understand this new location.

[She walks back onto the sidewalk- now apparently lost in thought and ignoring any onlookers or publicity.]

[Have a woman in black just openly staring at Esdeath. Pointedly, she has one of those necklaces the pamphlet talked about on her. Also, she seems pretty spooked by how you just, you know, created strong enough ice to crunch a freaking car.]

[Someone saw that little display and was impressed. She claps sardonically, a playful smirk on her face as she approaches]

[Mikoshiba stares with a mix of incredulous awe and fear. This was what Mayu was talking about. It really was like a RPG. He's mostly glad he's hiding behind the safety of his communicator, but he can't help but speak to her.]

[Esdeath notices the jewelry and her eyes narrow. A frown lay placidly upon her features as she moved towards the woman and looked at her necklace]

You are from somewhere other than here as well, yes?

[Esdeath turns and nods]

I did see the sign...and I did so before walking.

[What was unclear to her was the little white person telling you to walk or the red hand telling her stop. Surely looking both ways and seeing that she was able to cross that street was more than enough......]

Yet I saw no reason why I shouldn't press forward.

[She looks back at the light]

I'm not particularly fond of answering questions from an unseen source....

[She noted- but shrugged, though she doubt he could see it- at least, she wasn't sure.]

[She answered cooly]

Tell me- how am I able to see you...but you are not directly in front of me. What manner of communication is this- I did not fully understand the paper that was given to me.

Ah-- it's...well, a type of technology that processes data like sounds and images so other people can see and talk to you even if they're in a different place.

[He isn't sure if that's the most accurate explanation, but hopefully it's good enough.]

The necklaces are just for marking outsiders, that's all. Still useful, though, since the non-outsiders aren't quite 'real'...

[What...had he just seen? Whatever it was he was just going to go try and help the guy who was still stuck in the car. He just had to figure out how to do it first if he were to be able to help. Instead he looks over to the one who caused the problem in the first place.]

You know you shouldn't have done that. The guy didn't do anything wrong.

[She couldn't help but feel a little nervous asking.]

[She could tell that the place was suddenly frozen. Okay, that was strange. She guessed this person managed to do that.]

Um... Did you manage to freeze the Bay? But I will at least say this isn't like the afterlife or anything.

[This display is something that catches his attention. He stops and watches the entire altercation, including the ice. Impressive, in a way, but also not because he knows a lot of people who can summon powers after all, including himself. He pays no attention to the trapped man at all, but the woman who turned her powers loose, trying to gauge her temperament, to decide how threatening she is to him.

It probably doesn't help that because of his clothing he looks like a freaky cult member of some kind. A force of habit to take note of strange occurrences, when she comes his way, he smiles easily.]

Observation is a useful thing.

Not all of them. Some of them are, certainly, but the vast majority are amateur mages.
