[Closed Log]
WHO: Demyx and Rapunzel
WHAT: Demyx needs a mural painted in his new apartment to liven it up a little. Because he can.
WHEN: March 1st
WHERE: Genessia
WARNINGS: None whatsoever. Might even be cute.
As promised, Demyx got in touch once he'd settled in his new bachelor apartment. There was nothing terribly exciting about it, everything was white, just like he was familiar with. He'd gotten a white bed, but went a little fun and got blue bedding. The walls were white, the carpet was white...everything else was as sterile as ever. The only change was that he had his sitar propped up against the wall in the corner of the room, simply because he could.
All in all, it reminded him of home. He wasn't entirely sure that was a good thing, but that was just how it was. He hadn't bothered to get anything for the kitchen yet either, so it all looked so plain. What he had done was pick out the wall he wanted Rapunzel to paint on.
When she knocked at the door, he got up and answered, still in full uniform of course. Old habits died hard.
"Are you Rapunzel?"

"Are you Rapunzel?"

[He moved her kit out of the way.]
Take a seat then, and I'll sit behind you. The only weapon I have is my sitar. [He pointed.] And it's over there.

Speaking of hair, I like yours too.
no subject
[Deftly he started running his fingers through the silky strands. Naturally he'd be talented with fine motor movements, after all he was a musician.]
no subject
[And while he's doing that, he might notice that short piece of randomly brown hair as he's doing that.]
no subject
[He does notice the strand but doesn't comment, simply tucking it in with the rest.]
Did you ever cut your hair at all? You must not have.
no subject
[She's serious yet there's a playful tone to her voice.]
No, I haven't personally but... I really can't. Once my hair is cut, it loses it's power. I'm sure you've seen it by now, but I have a strand of hair that was cut when I was a baby, but since then it's lost it's power.
Besides, it comes in handy. It's actually a lot of fun to use it in other ways. I can grab certain things with it and move around with it. In fact, back home I used to use it to get around the tower or the higher places of the tower to paint.
no subject
[He was careful not to pull too much as he began braiding properly.]
Can I ask what kind of power your hair has?
no subject
To be fair, I didn't even know I was a princess until I met Eugene. My "mother" decided to leave that out and feed me lies.
[And even though she's in a somewhat pleasant mood, she can't help that ting of distaste as she spoke about her "mother".]
It's a little... strange but... When I sing a certain song, I can heal people with it.
no subject
[Demyx had to scoot back a bit to keep braiding.]
That's by far not the weirdest thing I ever heard. Healing is pretty useful though. You'd save a ton of munny on potions in that case.
no subject
I mean... We did run into dangers of course, but none like she'd insisted that I would run into. In the end, I didn't really mean much to her.
I'm not really sure what munny or potions are, but I guess that doesn't really mean much. I didn't even know what a tiara was at first.
[You know.. The time she thought it was maybe something you put on your arm or... What even....?]
no subject
[His hands froze a moment while she talked about dangers and he shook his head behind her.]
The world...all of them, are incredibly dangerous. You can't hide though, that would be too boring. A princess that swings around a tower should be able to handle the world around her.
[He hummed a little tune as he continued.]
Sorry. Munny is currency. The coins I use to get potions from the store and potions are how we heal ourselves in my world.
no subject
It wasn't until I met Eugene that I found out that they were lanterns. Every year they'd light them in the memory of the lost princess. I just... didn't fit all the pieces together until mother found me again and I went back home to the tower.
Oh, okay. I get it. I don't really have much experience with currency, either..
no subject
[He scooted back again carefully.]
I never thought about how people would react if someone just disappeared. I guess they'd notice. It was probably a sad thing right?
I wonder what people do when others disappear.
no subject
[And what he said is curious to her.]
Of course they'd be sad. Some people might think that if they disappeared nobody would care, but the truth is there is always somebody who cares and it sort of ends up like a chain affect from there.
[And then she paused for a moment, thinking over what she was going to say.]
Uhm.. If it's not intruding on something personal, can I ask you something?
no subject
[He listened quietly to what she said, his hands not stopping. He'd just never given it much thought, after all he wasn't meant to exist. He had, once.]
You can ask. I'll answer if I can.
no subject
You don't sound like you're used to feeling emotions like that. I mean... that sounds weird but I can't really word it better.
no subject
Guess I shouldn't have asked that, huh?
[He was supposed to be good at this sort of thing. Demyx was almost finished however, he finished pulling the loose strands into the braid and tied it off carefully.]
I'm not used to it at all. I can't.
no subject
You.. can't? What do you mean you can't?
no subject
[As much as he would have shrugged it off playfully, it wouldn't help and she would ask more questions.]
I don't have a heart.
no subject
I.. I'm sorry to hear that. I hope I didn't offend you. [And then after a small pause..] How is that possible? I mean... I would help any way I can if it's possible, but I doubt magical glowing hair when I sing will help something like that.
no subject
[She could be as mean or tactless as she wanted, he wouldn't feel anything.]
Thanks for the offer, but I don't think magic can fix it. Well, not that magic. Kingdom Hearts can fix it.
[He tapped his fingers on the floor.]
My heart was stolen from me awhile ago. Years, I think. Hard to say how long. I was this big.
[He held his hand to his chest.]
no subject
[And again after yet another pause, without warning she throw her arms around him to gently hug him.]
I know this probably doesn't mean much but... if there's anything I can do let me know.
no subject
Kingdom Hearts isn't pretty. We, the Nobodies, are monsters.
[She seemed like a nice girl.]
no subject
You don't look like a monster to me. No matter who you are, you're still a living being. That doesn't matter.
[And after another small pause, she stood up and handed him the brush she'd gotten him.]
With my hair braided, we can start painting now.
[It probably wasn't much, but hopefully it would be something to cheer him up.]
no subject
[He got up with her though, taking the brush.]
I do really want a mural.
