[Sorry, jack. Satsuki's back. The Nova City Guardian appears on the feed looking a little a touch roughed up, light bruises and hair a bit mussed, yet her expression is as stone-faced as always. Though those who know her well enough may realize she's actually pretty annoyed.]

Attention denizens of Genessia. To those who do not know me I am Satsuki Kiryuin, City Guardian of Nova City. Clarification of what the position means will have to come at a later time. For now I would like to bring notice to the Shrine Maiden position in the Genessia Newspaper. As of now, I am raising the payroll from two-star grade to three.

To anyone interested in the position, I would appreciate if you contact me before applying. Thank you.

Exactly what right do you have to any ownership over the shrine? Not that I'm objecting yet, but it does seem a little strange that the Guardian of Nova City would have any holds over another city's religious areas- particularly since government shouldn't be influencing religious areas.

Oh! I was thinking of applying, I didn't know there was anyone I had to talk to outside of the shrine...

[ There's a little bow- as best as she can do while holding the video phone. ]

None whatsoever, in right or hold. Regardless, I wish to see the position filled.

I should have clarified; I have nothing to do with the hiring process itself. I have assumed the offering wage is non-negotiable, however I am willing to put in money to gain more interest in it. It is that part I wish to discuss.

Oh, alright. Sorry I assumed. I don't mind if you don't offer more money though. My father is a Shinto priest, so I know how everything works already..

Though Koishi didn't reply to the message she was at the HQ when Satsuki arrived. The little satori might have been a bit difficult for Satsuki to detect since she had been away for some time, though that was remedied easily enough.

"MISS WHITE!"

A streak of green, purple, and white shot across the room and collided with Satsuki, clinging entirely too tightly for comfort, nuzzling her stomach. Several tentacles slid out of her sleeves, further winding around the black haired woman's waist. Koishi had, of course, completely recovered from the ordeal and was beyond elated to see her friend home... At least she had remembered to wear her new uniform.

"Miss White! I missed you so much!" Nuzzle nuzzle. "I brought you something-" oh no "-here!" She pulled back a little, untangling her tentacles enough to reach into her pocket and pull out a little bag. "Sis made more taffy and I helped this time! I set a bunch aside for you, okay? Please enjoy!" She pressed the little bag into her hands before resuming the hug...

It was probably good that Koishi was the first to arrive. Else this would be extremely embarrassing...

[Given that Maka has a whole lot of "nothing to do except cope with trauma and put herself into automatic mode before going to work" her response is fairly immediate after Satsuki's broadcast. She appears on screen--tired, pale, not even a wisp of a polite smile for the elder, but she's still presenting herself.]

I'm here, Miss Satsuki. Is there something wrong?

Is that so..

[Really, despite being japanese herself, she doesn't really understand all that much about the shinto lifestyle and the like. Still, she could guess those are good enough credentials.]

Welcome, then. There is indeed much to learn, but the basics of the daily living is not very complex. The mysteries of Genessia's existence, however, are.

[She switches to a private feed and gets straight to the point.]

During my time here I have deduced that those with spiritual affinity possess an advantage in obtaining information- Information that I believe will be useful in getting closer to finding a way to return everyone who wishes, homeward.

[Satsuki shakes her head.]

There is nothing of concern on my end; for the most part.

[She gets a good look at Maka. It's been a while, but she doesn't seem to look much better; in fact it looks like it's been a very long day. Suddenly she's a bit hesitant to speak, but goes ahead anyway.]

I intend to visit the Attleton Arboretum in about two hours. I'd like for you to join me.

[She nods in reply, no hesitation or even surprise, though her expression does shift to something more akin to her usual alertness.]

All right, I'll be there.

[Probably early knowing her.]

...Just so you know, I'll have a weapon with me, but it won't be out.

I know there's at least one person working there already, have you spoken to him?

Satsuki didn't realize being away would have an effect like that; she finds herself standing a little straighter in response to her name being called out, and not even half a second later does Koishi blink into existence.

To tight for comfort? That's an understatement for the Nova Guardian, as the hold brings perhaps the most discomfort she's felt in quite some time; Good god, the tentacles are everywhere- what the hell is she doing??

The brief release gives her a moment to recover. She actually staggers back a step, finds a gift in her hands and then is embraced once more. She's a bit light-headed, but her free hand does push at the satori's shoulder, ".. That's enough, Komeiji." ... "Please."

Can I ask why you want to pay a shrine maiden more?

Of course; I was under the impression the position had not been taken yet.

[Beat.]

I may have assumed incorrectly. Still, I had suspected the position had not been gaining interest because the payment was not high enough.

[Satsuki actually looks taken by surprise.]

.. There has?

[She glances downward a moment, wrestling with paper. Was she looking at an outdated one?]

I.. See.. It would appear I have acted with too much haste. What is his name, Miss Schnee?

Well, there's a spirit guide anyway. I'm not particularly familiar with the different positions since we don't have those types of shrines in my world. I think his name was Aang, but I haven't spoken to him much.

[ As far as anyone needs to know, she said hello and dropped the thread once she figured out who he was. ]

Koishi is surprisingly easy to push back, the little youkai not seeming offended in the least. Perhaps she sensed Satsuki's distress? The tentacles unwound, her shoulders shifting a little as they retracted.

"Miss White! I missed you so much! It makes me so happy to see you again!" This much was abundantly clear. "I took care of Rosie while you were gone. I gave her a raspberry and took her out and played with her some. But Little Circles didn't like it much so I put Rosie back."

She drifted up into the air, absolutely jittering with excitement. "Lets go out for ice cream again soon, okay? I bet that would be fun. But have some of the taffy for now. It will make you smile. You look like you need a smile."

Koishi would stay by Satsuki's side, chattering about what happened while she was away and generally being a bit of a pest. Hopefully everyone else would arrive quickly and save her.

It's not taken. [ a tiny shrug ] The only person working at the shrine is me but I don't really think you can call me a maiden.

For a job that's completely voluntary back home, I thought the pay was more than enough. I thought there weren't a lot of spiritual people around instead of it being a monetary issue.

There's no shrine maiden?

O-Okay! I'll try my best to get there in thirty minutes.

[Considering he lives in Genessia, it might take a little more time for him to get there, but he is going to try his best at least.]

Shrine maiden? And just what are the duties of one?

[She nods happily.]

Everything is in perfect order. Nothing bad to report.

[Gama can be seen slipping his arms back through the sleeves of his uniform top as he addresses the camera.]

I'm on my way. Anything I should know before I arrive?

[Vyers looks a little stressed himself. Behind him, the stone walls of the maze covering Attleton can be seen.]

Ah...it is good to see you back, Mademoiselle. Not in too bad a shape, I hope?

Attleton is undergoing some...minor issues at the moment, but as far as I'm aware no one's been too badly hurt.

I'm glad someone is taking a little concern over the position. I would like to see it filled, as well, but I'm well aware I would not be best suited for the work.

[It didn't feel right to take the job herself, however she looked at it.]
