What: Ever since they've all started to arrive, Mikasa has already started with saving up for a house, but now she needs to have a meeting talking about it.
When: March 12th
Where: Casa AoT/SnK

It's been a clear ever since everyone seemed to arrive one after another that there was no possible way to keep everyone together. Eren's and Mikasa's small apartment had been fine for a few of the arrivals, but it was quickly getting cramped. While they are all pretty much used to close quarters anyways, they didn't have to necessarily deal with it here. And then there was the case of any future people from home coming as well. So Mikasa has finally called an apartment meeting thinking of just that.

She wanted to make sure that they all had a chance to sort of get the hang of things here since they had all arrived here at the same time or close to the same time. She would have wanted to do this a while back when people had just started to arrive -- since she'd had this in mind for a while -- but it wouldn't be nearly enough time. And then there was drama surrounding what to do about Marco and just everything else that came from it that made it too awkward to even think of doing a meeting.

Well.. To be honest.... It was still too awkward now because things seemed to be worse, but she couldn't exactly keep pushing this further. She would just have to hope that things could stay calm enough, but she wasn't so sure. What with the drama between Armin and Jean, starting to date Jean as a couple only to turn into more drama because of things she probably shouldn't have brought up, and all of the awkwardness with Marco, it wasn't exactly the best last week or two...

Still, she wasn't going to make this about any of that. This was simply an apartment meeting. That was all.

[OOC: There will be no particular order in tagging since there's so many of us, so basically I'm going to say tag at your own desire/speed. with about 9 of us, going in an order will take too long to wait for each other. Feel free to make separate tags if that's easier too, but I'll try to stay on top of this myself that way Mikasa is answering as much as possible since she's the one who's leading this.]

[So once everyone arrived, Mikasa had slumped on the couch while still giving enough room for anyone who wanted to sit on the couch as well; It seems they were going to have to either sit on the floor or find a place besides the couch and the love seat chair for the time being. She had already had a good idea of the things to talk about during this, but she had taken the time to write down a list just in case. It also allowed her to write down any notes that should have been noted throughout the meeting. Armin had helped her look around for ideas of where to move, but they hadn't settled on anything.]

Okay, now that everyone is here.... As you can tell a good number of us have arrived here within a short amount of time and there's clearly not much room left for everyone here. So... [She glanced down to her list for a mere moment before continuing.] I've been thinking of saving for a bigger place where we could all have enough room and stay together ever since Petra arrived.

We don't have all live together I suppose. I don't know about you guys, but I would feel better if we all stuck together.

[Glancing to Armin for a moment, she then glanced back to her list absent mindedly as she tried to keep from looking towards certain people]

Armin and I have been looking around at different areas that we could move into that would be big enough for all of us and we've seen a few places of interest, but we haven't actually settling on something yet to keep an open mind.

That being said, that means that if you guys want to -- and I don't see why not personally considering it's pretty cramped -- we're all going to have to pitch in and watch what we're spending. I've already started -- as I've said -- but I think with the jobs that we have now, we should be able to cover things fairly easily.

There are a few things that I have in mind to talk about, but first of all I need to know who would rather have their own room or if you'd be okay with sharing with people.

I'm personally okay with sharing a room with Armin and Eren again if they are, but I don't want to speak for you guys.

[He's still worried about the Marco situation, and he wants to make things better with Jean somehow, but right now this takes precedence. Armin has been looking into possible places to stay for them for weeks to help Mikasa out, and it's been a lot easier for him, given both his computer training for work, and the fact that Weiss has hired a real estate manager. He's have collected several files on possible locations for everyone to leaf through - but a few choices stick out. He moves forward hesitantly when Mikasa's done talking, laying his files on the floor between them all.]

I've focused my efforts in Nova City, because the tall buildings are a strategic advantage, should we ever need to use our 3dmg - but I have possibles in all the cities. There are a couple options that look like more likely candidates than the others, though.

[He opens the files for the places he's talking about as he goes through their talking points, before passing them around the circle for everyone else to take a look.]

First are the Heaven's Court Apartments - the m-most economical option. It would be cheaper to rent two of these than any of the actual houses on this list. And it might be a little cramped, but if everyone wanted to share a room, with 4 bedrooms to each apartment, w-we could actually all fit in just one of these apartments - though we'd need to rent the second anyway if anyone else from home shows up. They're very high tech, and at the top of a skyscraper.

Second is one of these houses - more spacious and comfortable, probably, though also more expensive. These ones have two or three stories, and six bedrooms apiece, though, so both would serve our purposes well. They seem to have all the amenities, and they're in a nice neighborhood - with a good yard for training, and a little extra space in the house for any offices or other rooms we might like to set up.

Finally, I've found a run down mansion we should be able to get. It's more expensive, and we'd have to put a lot of work into it to get it into better repair - but we can still afford it if everyone who's working now pitches in, and we'd never need to worry about space again, no matter how many people start showing up. It has the potential to be as nice as any of the other places, too, once we get it fixed up, and has a fairly extensive yard as well.

[He moves back to the couch and sits next to Mikasa a little nervously, watching everyone else's reactions. Hopefully his choices were all right?]

[After the meeting]

[After she'd finally finished up the meeting, she no longer had anything to distract her from what she knew she had to do. She'd been avoiding eye contact with Jean all night and she knew she'd just have to face it. She still meant what she had told him, but at this point she just wanted to make it clear that she was sorry and she never intended for their recent relationship to turn sour like this...

She had no intentions of breaking up on him, but she was a little worried about what would happen next. Things had been awkward since then.. So pushing herself to go talk to him, she took a seat next to him silently, trying to think of the right words to say.]

Jean... I'm sorry. I have no right to intrude like I have, so I... I won't get involved in it any more than you'd like me to. If there's anything I can do, let me know.

[She let out a sigh, staring at a random part of the wall.]

All I know is... I don't like this. I don't like the awkwardness. {A small pause.] I miss you.

[Jean had barely spoken a word during the meeting, straying close to the door and only talking when necessary. It had been uncomfortable, probably for everyone, and he was intent on leaving the second the meeting ended.

Mikasa's presence made him hesitate. He wasn't sure how to feel about it right now. He was a little nervous, and remorseful. Looking at her was still hard.

He owed her a reply, of all people.]

You don't have to be sorry. You didn't do anything wrong, Mikasa, I get that you were just trying to help...

[He paused, looking at the other wall.]

I miss you too.

I.. can't really do anything if you don't want the help. So I'll just... leave it to you until you tell me what you want.

[But she has helped the best she could as far as Armin was concerned. Even if she wanted to say something, nothing came out of her mouth once she opened it. Instead of speaking, she closed her mouth and just took his hand in hers gently.]

Look... Mikasa.

[He brought his free hand to quickly run through his hair--he hadn't bothered cutting it the past few weeks, so it was starting to look unstyled--and ran his thumb along her fingers without realizing it.

The truth was, he was scared. Scared of hurting Marco, losing people, and of a lot of things that didn't need to be elaborated on. But he knew he was in the wrong on some of the issues, and he had reacted badly.]

I should never have snapped at you like that. I'm--[Dammit, a simple apology should not be this difficult to say. But he had apologized maybe five times in his life.] I'm sorry.

I'm starting to think what I want isn't possible. And it fucking blows. I thought staying away might help, but even if I do that, it's not going to stop Marco from wondering what's wrong, and it won't change Armin's mind. Will it?

[She was silent while listening to his apology. It did make her a little sad to hear his thoughts on Marco, but he was starting to understand better. Or at least... what she had been trying to tell him. Still, it didn't make things easy for him and there was only so much she could do.]

And I shouldn't have pushed it, so I guess that makes us even.

[But with that said, she turned more towards him to give her attention... and to gently hug him.]

No... Unfortunately that won't stop them... Trust me, if I could get away with simply running away from my problems or ignoring them, I'd probably do that too.

As far as Armin is concerned though... I asked him not to say anything. He was still a little hesitant to agree but... he agreed to let me handle it. Although, I can only do so much.

It's like I've said... I won't do anything without making sure you're okay with it. So whatever you chose to do... I'll do what I can to support you.

[He didn't argue, if only because there was so much apologizing that could occur before they were just dwelling on the subject.

He did welcome the hug, tentatively wrapping his arms around her and burying his face against her hair.]

I'd rather keep running. But I didn't want to get anyone else involved in this.

[Would kissing her be too much right now? He cards a finger through her hair. She really was perfect, despite her own reluctance to think so.]

Thank you. You've done more than I deserve. I've fucked up, huh? I'll come back if it makes much of a difference.

If only that could solve our problems, I'd probably prefer that too.

[No, because pretty sure they both wanted to kiss and make up for a while but awkwardness got in the way.]

You're human. You're allowed to mess up sometimes and you're allowed to let your feelings and emotions effect your judgment. To be honest... That night I.. Well.. I didn't really get to sleep much for more than just a few reasons and emotions may have affected my own judgement as well.

[If he won't kiss her than, she'll do it. And what better time was it to kiss and make up than now? So after that's said, she did just that.]

Of course it makes a difference, but I think my reasons for believing so are now more selfish and bias than they should be.

[Awkwardness in the form of everyone else just hovering around. Another reason Jean stayed silent.]

To a certain point. I'm a soldier, we're supposed to be better than that. Don't let my stupidity get to you that badly.

[As long as she's okay with it, he's going to linger there for a moment, not bothering to pull away once they finish. He speaks in a lower voice, so only the two of them can hear.]

You're human too. If anyone in this apartment tried to claim they weren't selfish or biased in some way, they'd be full of shit.

[Yeah... uh.... Mikasa isn't really paying attention to that detail... Clearly.]

To be fair, we don't really need to be soldiers here nearly as much as we were back home, but it's still a valid point.

[If anyone in this apartment... And that's when it finally dawns on her that pretty much everyone was still there because of the meeting and socializing now.

Woops! That sort of... left her mind for a while.]

O-Of course...

[Jean honestly doesn't care. If they have a problem, they can fuck off.]

I guess I'm just used to it by now.

[That, and...he didn't like certain things he had learned about himself the past few days.

What? Why did she look so flustered? He glanced around the room, his eyes widening for a brief second, before he smirked, lips a mere millimeter away from her own.]

What's wrong? Your face is warm. Are you getting sick?

[What was this? Was he really teasing her? Well, she had teased him a little bit before too... She made a huffy face, cheeks growing a bit brighter at the mention.]

N-Nothing's wrong! Everything is fine.

[Except he could probably tell that she was reacting to the realization; it didn't really take much. And he was so close to her yet because of their kiss.. Confessing gave her a lot of butterflies, but showing affection like this was new to her, even if it was towards her recent boyfriend.]

Are you sure?

[He leans in to kiss her this time. They had a long fight so they need to have an equally long kiss and make up session, obviously.]

You might need to stay home if you're not feeling well.

[You know that awareness she just had of where they were or who was around? You're making it hard for her to care. Gladly returning the kiss, she kept her voice low enough just for him to hear.]

... Sure I'm not feeling well... but only if that means you'll still be here.

[She's getting better at this thing that you call flirting. She thought about kissing him again, but the fact that they weren't exactly in a private area right now made her stop inches before his lips.

Glancing around, cheeks burning warmly, she grabbed his hand again to lead him to the trio's room. It wasn't exactly the best area, but it was better than where they were. And then there was Marco's room, but that would only be more awkward. If nothing else, everyone else was around the kitchen or living room.]

I'll always be around if you're not feeling well. ...But the two are in no way related.

[He hoped. He was confused as to why she stopped, but he didn't have time to ask her when she stood up and he had to follow her if he wanted to stay close.]

Where--

...Oh.

[Now it was his turn to blush. Because it's totally different from kissing in front of a group of people. He glanced over his shoulder to make sure no one was paying much attention, and followed her.]

[After going to her room, she quietly closed the door behind them as if that would help from people realizing if they hadn't already.]

Sorry I just... It was awkward there and... I guess this isn't much better....

It's fine. There's no one else in here so it's not awkward.

[He glanced at the door, paranoid, then at the room.

Okay.

Now what???]

[Well, so much for that burst of courage because now she's blushing more. She just didn't want to show so much PDA out there, but honestly whether it be kissing or just snuggling, she was happier they made up. And she might just be getting a little too comfortable with the kisses, but took that chance to press a soft kiss to his lips.]

I'm glad that we're not arguing anymore. I really did miss you.

I missed you too.

[Realistically, he hadn't imagined he would be this close to her. The whole thing still left him in dreamlike sort of awe, still tentative with how new it was. He gently pressed a kiss against her lips, a playful note in his tone.]

Are we going to do this every time we get into an argument?

That depends. I might just have to hold out on you if it happens often.

[Joking, clearly.]

Just what I'd expect from the first ranked in our squad. Only someone with your willpower would be strong enough to do that.

[Did he just praise himself? Yes.]

Well, I did it for enough years before, I don't see why I couldn't do it again.
