[ A couple of hours had passed since Roman had made his announcement. It took her a while to calm down. After the hard learned lesson about not reacting emotionally from the first time Roman had attacked her, albeit in a very different manner, she knew better than to say anything while she was still reeling. Anxiety, stress, hatred, fear of losing her new friends, and fear of losing what she'd just begun to build on top of what she'd already lost to Torchwick were overwhelmingly keeping her from trying to react without thinking things through first. She'd turned her phone off for a short while- it was probably a mistake, it probably made it look like she was hiding, but the reality was that she was just a teenager who was trying to make some kind of a difference.

But after she'd had a chance to breathe, she worked out what it was she'd wanted to say. Because Torchwick wasn't the one she had to answer to- it was everyone else. The people who had put their faith in Schnee Company here, the people who believed in her and thought she was a good person, and even the people who didn't know what to think yet. They were who was important, not someone using her father's sins to try to destroy her. ]

Here we go.

[ Weiss took a deep breath and flickered the video on, her gaze unwavering as it did. She looked determined, serious. If any member of her family ever came here, she would likely be ruined after this video, but this was the only way to save the life she'd started building here. ]

Many of you may have seen Roman Torchwick's video and accusations earlier. The answer is yes.

Yes, many of those things are true. My father and our company under his leadership have been accused of doing those things and I have personally witnessed some of them. I don't have evidence of some of the things that Torchwick detailed in his apparent report, the source of which I find suspect given that while Schnee Dust Company in Remnant has managed to evade essentially all charges. If a report like that were legitimate, it certainly would've risen much sooner and certainly not in Genessia instead of back home. And I happen to know at least a couple of those are false, but the important ones aren't.

[ Weiss took another deep breath. This was, honestly, hard for her. She hated the idea that her family's name was being dragged through the mud and that she was confirming it, even if she knew what was true. She wanted nothing more than to scream that Torchwick was a liar, but that wouldn't solve anything. ]

Schnee Dust Company has been known for both Human and Faunus rights abuses, most condemningly the forced labor of the Faunus people. Yes, Torchwick was telling the truth about that, but as usual he ran his mouth without knowing or including the entire story.

My family didn't claim our name in bloodshed or the sweat and tears of Faunus. It was my grandfather's company, and until my father took over it was a moral company. The Schnee family name didn't start off standing for these gross violations of humans rights, and I have no intention of allowing it to stay that way. Perhaps if Torchwick had taken a moment to question why the heiress to the company in question was busy attending a combat school for Huntresses instead of living easily in the comfort of my multiple homes and a plush office on the top floors of Schnee Company headquarters, he would have realized that leveling those accusations here was a mistake.

I chose to become a huntress because I have every intention of taking my family's company back from my father to make certain that the Schnee Dust Company doesn't operate in the dark, because I will need those skills to reclaim it from him. I never brought any of this up here in Genessia not because I had the intent to deceive any of you, but because by saying this publicly, I run the risk of my family finding out if any of them come to Genessia. I don't intend to back down back home, nor do I intend to let Torchwick take Schnee Company down to his level here. Schnee Company in Genessia is going to be a prime example of what Schnee Dust Company in Remnant should operate like.

The entire reason that the people from my world agreed not to start a witch hunt for Torchwick when he first arrived was on the basis of second chances. Torchwick squandered his when he attacked my friend and I, killing her and kidnapping me out of a sick need for vengeance because we've cut a couple of his heists short- a part of our jobs as huntresses.

Don't take Schnee Company and my second chance away from us because Torchwick decided to share what my father is responsible for and I haven't had the chance to fix back home yet.

I think that Blake thinks that you're not interested in her anymore because of her scar, so you need to go seduce her and show that you don't care if she has a scar or not. It'll also help you out if you get jealous of her paying attention to some other guy at some point, since she seems to be jealous of how jealous Zuko gets over me. I have no idea what's sexy about his intense hatred of Neptune, but Blake seems to think I'm lucky.

I'm not the jealous type. I trust Blake. [He understood what drove Zuko's jealousy.] Her having a scar doesn't bother me, I've already told her as much. I don't know why should think I would lie to her. Especially over something like that.

She's going to be a Huntress so scars are expected. It actually makes her seem more battle hardened and projects strength, which is honestly really attractive. What bothers me isn't the scar, it is how she got it. I'm still not remotely over it. I'm so angry, Weiss. I've never felt this angry over anything and I don’t know what to do with it. I try to stay happy and cheery and do things to help with that just so I don’t explode. [And seeing Roman’s face on the network recently wasn’t helping to get rid of that.]

And because of that, I haven’t really..you know. [Been in the mood. It felt SUPER weird to even talk to her about this, though. But he hadn't brought it up to anyone before.]

I know you're not, I'm not saying that how you are is wrong. I'm just telling you what I've figured out from what she's told me. Which I shouldn't be, but I think the two of you make each other happy and at the very least, the two of you deserve that.

We can't just keep.. responding to him, though. Whatever he was after back home he doesn't have anymore, and he's focusing on us because of it. It seems like I managed to get it focused on me for now, but I doubt it'll stay that way.

How would you look for Torchwick if this was a bounty, Sun? If we can find out where he is then we can come up with a plan. There's no way we're going to do this with just a single team.

Thanks for the information then, I guess. I don't know why she doesn't come to me with her worries, but at least she's going to someone. I'll have to try to figure something out.

[He inhales deeply and then exhales to try to ease his thoughts. It's difficult when it comes to the subject of Romance, though.]

There are a few ways. Roman is a jerkbag thief. He's not going to get an honest job, so he probably steals here because he needs money for things too. It wouldn't hurt to check out the reports of theft since he arrived. Might have to do that in every city, though. It is possible that he only stuck to one, since going out in the open and passing through the archways means he could run into one of us.

Another way would be to track him by Dust, if that's possible. It is a energy source, and a very small number of people here use it, so there wouldn't be a lot of signatures of it here. Roman isn't going to stop using it, because it fuels his weapon. He might have a big stockpile of it so he doesn't have to make trips to Vale or he might keep it in small amounts. But still, if we can find a way to track the energy source of Dust, it'd be easy enough to locate him through process of elimination. Maybe check with the Schnee Dust Company? I don't know how they go about locating it, but maybe they have a way.

Placing cameras near the Archways wouldn't be a bad idea. Nova City has advanced technology. I've went there before in search of that kind of equipment when I was attacked by Satsuki. We may be able to find someone that can program some kind of facial recognition into them like the cops used. That way, when he passes through an archway, we will have a record of it. That would also narrow down where exactly he is staying if we are lucky. That's more so something for me to do, though. With what you are doing here, that could be seen as an invasion of privacy and it could hurt your reputation. But I'm not affiliated with your company here or back home, so if the thing about the cameras came out, it would just reflect negatively on me, which is fine.

She has reasons and I know them, but I think she'd be pretty betrayed if I told you, so I'm going to tell you that you're probably going to have to corner her for information. She usually won't share unless you make sure to call her out on it.

[ Weiss knows that this is very difficult but she's talked to Blake and.. frankly, she's not good at sitting still when she knows that Blake's suffering and Sun could be doing more, but Sun is also her friend now so she doesn't want to accuse him of anything.. and obviously he has his own issues right now, too. ]

I can probably get the records from Fayren, Nova City, and Attleton. You wouldn't happen to know Everglade and Genessia's Guardians well enough, would you?

The Dust Company locations in the Vale archway wouldn't have that technology. The quarries are.. a different matter. [ That's where the biggest morally gray things go on. ] But there aren't any in the archway.

Wait- back up. [ She'll get back to the cameras situation, but- ] You were attacked by Satsuki? Why? What did you do?

I'm not going to press you for the information, I know you've probably already told me more than you should have. I guess I never really have wanted to use that tactic with her. And when we are together, everything really does feel fine. It never seems like anything is bothering her. [He thought maybe a date was in order. He wasn't lacking in ideas for them, but making going on one would help both him and Blake out.]

I don't, but if we tell them what it's about, I know they will more than likely help. It's not like we could do anything illegal with that sort of information. [They'd just need to make sure the Guardians kept their lips shut regarding this request. They didn't need anyone knowing that they were getting this sort of information or it might get back to Torchwick.]

Nova City might be a good bet for that too. Like I said, if we find the right person, they might be able to give us something to locate the energy signatures. We might have to give them some dust to help with the development, though. [And getting that was easy enough.]

..right. I never mentioned that. I didn't do anything. I was leaving a store and she confronted me and fought me. She told me to leave her city, called me unworthy scum and how the city didn't need my ilk. Stuff like that.

Oh please, I use that tactic with her all the time. Some people, like Blake, just need a little push to let them know it's okay to speak their feelings.

[ Weiss was pretty sure that a a date would definitely help, at least. She knows she wouldn't be at least well-functioning if Zuko hadn't been there for her. It'll definitely help Sun and Blake feel better. ]

Do you want to handle Everglade and Genessia's guardians then? I'll talk to Satsuki, Azula, and Vyers. [ She had no problem delegating, and she had absolute faith that if Sun was ever going to stop being angry about it, he was going to need to do his part. ]

They're very advanced there. I'll check with some of the tech firms and hospitals there. They'd be the most likely to be able to do something like that.

I'll... talk to her about it. She never seemed like the type to do something like that to me, but if she did then I'm certainly not going to continue supporting her.

I guess if it gets results, then it wouldn’t hurt to use it. [Just don’t expect him to weird about it or anything.]

I can handle dealing with those Guardians. [He hadn't met them, but they hadn't rubbed him the wrong way or anything. So unless they had issues passing off that info, he didn't think there would be much of a problem.]

Alright. Let me know if you can turn anything up. And be sure to keep all of this between us. Or if you tell your team or Neptune, make sure to do it in a secure spot. I don't know if Roman has taken the initiative in trying to spy on you guys or us or anything. Might not hurt to sweep for bugs either.

It won't hurt one bit. She promised to be more open, sometimes she just.. needs a little nudge. [ Or you know, a dramatic display of chair balancing talent. Don't worry Sun, Weiss will handle that part. ]

Thanks. While you're at it, ask if it's alright for us to set up hidden security cameras at all of the archways for a period of time. That way we can at least narrow down the search which one he's passing through most often and see just where he's calling home. If we don't get the Guardians' permission then we're the ones who might run into trouble. I'll ask the same of the three I'm going to. I'll check for bugs both in the office and at home, too.

Is that why I didn't see her? You could've just come and gotten me quietly and I would've figured it out.
