3rd Chapter | Video/Action
[When Mikoshiba turns on the screen, he looks pleased with himself. His hair blows gently over his face in the wind, while he looks out to where the Bay used to be.] I've finally gotten sick of hearing everyone complain about the Bay missing, so I can explain what's going on. Just this once, so don't make me repeat myself!
This is what you would call a challenge event. You wouldn't collect just one ball in sports, so why would you bother to catch one star? [Because sports are normal. He's not comparing it to something to happen in a video game, not at all.]
Just like you'd get extra points at the end of a...sports...thing, if you manage to collect all the stars, or at least a certain amount of them, you'll probably get something cool. Like a sword or something. I was already here so I might as well try. [He shrugs, trying not to look nearly as excited as he actually is. This is his chance to get a legendary weapon! Which he will then keep in his room and never use.]
[That hole looks unsettling though. He stays away from it while he tries catching one of the lights. He has his sights set on one, but when it keeps evading him, he finally gets frustrated and puts his hands to his face to think. There's one nearby, so he runs after it, splashing through the water and trying to look as cool about it as he can. He finally manages to catch one, letting out a victorious shriek. But his excitement is short-lived when this memory (up to 2:26) plays. He falls down and seems to stare at nothing in particular, overcome with an elated feeling once it's over. Slowly, the euphoria fades, returning him to the present. He tilts his head down to look at his phone, otherwise still and mortified. It wasn't a bad memory, but it had been so real, enough to make him lose his composure in public. Realizing this, his eyes wide, and his face pales before brushing brightly. He scrambles to turn off his phone, his words equally rushed and panicked.]
Never...nevermind! Just stay away, it's a waste of time to try it!

Never...nevermind! Just stay away, it's a waste of time to try it!
video
[ Good going, Mamiko-san. Otaku knowledge has a use.]
Chasing stars is too much work.
video
That's exactly right! If I level up enough, I'll be able to take on anything! You won't have to worry, MayuMayu!
Did you want me to chase one for you? We could keep it in a jar.
video
[ Mikoto is a shoujo manga heroine, not an action hero.]
Should I bring a jar?
video
[Why else would he end up here?]
Mm! Did you want to go together? [That hole is creeping him out so he doesn't mind heading back and carrying the jar instead.]
video
Don't endanger yourself.
[ Sure, they can get a jar together.]
Okay. Should we buy a new jar?
video
I won't...
[Mayu actually wants to go somewhere? And exert energy? He answers perhaps a little too quickly.]
Sure! We could probably find one at a crafts store! We can go right now!
video
Should I meet you near the stars?
[ Buying the jar is actually the easier option. Mikoto can pick something out, and Umetarou won't get annoyed with them over wasting a household item.]
video
That might be easier.
[He won't have to venture out somewhere he might get lost and Mayu will know exactly where he is.]
video --> action
I'll see you soon.
[ This is Mayu's reasoning. He heads over to the former bay. He puts a hand up in a partial wave as soon as he sees Mikoto.]
action
[He fidgets in anticipation while he waits, playing with his phone, the water (though he's careful to avoid the stars), anything. He tries not too look as relieved as he feels when he sees Mayu, nodding in his direction and making sure to take his time with walking over to him.]
action
Ready?
[ He'll let Mikoto take the lead unless there's signs of him getting lost.]
action
[He's grateful for that, Mayu. He at least wants to look like he knows what he's doing. It was his suggestion, and he wants to be reliable if he can. Rather than pause and think back to the route Nozaki took, he starts walking ahead, trying to think as he goes along.]

action
What place do you have in mind?
[ If he knows a shortcut, it would make things easier.]
action
[He isn't really in a rush. In fact, part of him wants to stay like this for as long as he can, while the other part tells him that's not how you're supposed to feel! You're supposed to be the cool-headed one! And desperately fights against the butterflies he has. The result leaves him blushing a bright crimson.]
action
[ If that's the tea shop, then he has some idea of where to go. Maybe they could have some tea after obtaining the jar. It would be a good way to relax before walking back to the stars. ]
Convenient for a break.
[ It helps that Mikoto is generally more comfortable around younger males and Luke is not very threatening.]
action
[He nods when he's sure he remembers the name. Even if he still doesn't necessarily know how to actually get there.]
S--sure! [Were they actually planning to drink tea together? He doesn't mind it at all, but it takes him by surprise. It shouldn't. They've always been able to hang out before. This isn't any different. It's nothing. He should stop thinking so hard about it.
Now he can't stop thinking so hard about it.]
action
[ Which is how he knows the name. He just sees going for tea as a way to recharge his battery. Obliviousness runs in the family. Mikoto sure gets nervous easily. He grins, glad that there's agreement.
action
action
I think you'd get along with him.
[ Since Mikoto is comfortable around younger males and Luke is really nonthreatening. Mayu is just glad that he can concentrate on judo without having to go to school. It's impressive that Mamiko-san taught MayuMayu how to type.]
Almost there.
action
[He practices judo but he owns a tea shop. Mikoto has two conflicting images in his head. But Nozaki was a good cook but also real tall...and while he was intimidating at first, once Mikoto got to know him, he realized what a dork he could be. Maybe he was like that? He's not eager to meet someone he's never met before, but he tries not to look too nervous, walking beside him.]
Okay.
action
[ Luke is a beginner at judo, so less intimidating than the judo club in Mayu's middle school. Mikoto sure gets nervous easily.Perhaps the craft store would calm him if it's as familiar a setting as he claims. Both places are in sight.]
action
[Decisions what are you. Mikoto is really fine with either, if it means he gets to spend more time with Mayu.]
action
[ Although at this point, Mayu wouldn't mind if they gave up. A star captured in a jar would be pretty, but obtaining it seems like a lot of work. Even with Mikoto doing most of it. He heads over, making sure Mikoshiba is close by.]
You pick.
[ Because Mayu is too lazy and Mikoto is better at picking out something pretty.]
