[Action/Network responses are good!]
Mewtwo had heard the commotion of the Bay being gone, and had decided to check it out. His first concern was the hole, and after conjuring a barrier to plumb the depths to no apparent effect, he gives up some time later and flies upward, emerging from the hole with his shield intact. After that, he hovers over the water, the shining stars catching his attention. He pulls one upward, a sphere of water encasing it, but after closer inspection, he decides to reach out and touch it. When he does, he falls to the ground, landing on his knees, one hand coming to his head. Whatever the star had done, it had triggered something... unpleasant.
There was darkness, nothing could be seen for a moment, the muted sound of business as usual coming through as if from beyond water. For several moments the darkness and sound are all that exist until something electric passes through his temple. Instantly eyes fly open revealing a yellow tinted laboratory beyond glass walls. A pain wells up behind his forehead and the glass shatters, leaving the yellow fluid to drain. Scientists crowd around, eager to hear his voice.
"Quiet! Let us hear its psychic power!" says one scientist.
Psychic power?
"For years we struggled to clone a Pokemon to prove our theories. You're the first to survive!"
The room descends into incomprehensible babbling as the scientists pat each other on the back. At the same time their thoughts start adding to the cacophony. Some want to use him for wealth. Others to earn favor for their employer. Intersparced are flashes of things just barely there. Faces of three Pokemon - Squirtle, Bulbasaur, and Charmander - and a young girl's, though they lack meaning or context. It all gets so loud that it becomes painful, until finally something snaps. The sound is muted almost as if through water once more as explosions rip through the facility. Bodies are flung through the air, and flames engulf the facility. The one scientist that commanded the others huddles against the wall, bleeding from a wound concealed by his coat, though the crimson blood is visible as he slowly advances. The man speaks into a microphone nearby, hoping his last words would be spared Mewtwo's wrath.
"We dreamed of creating the world's strongest Pokemon... and we succeeded."
There was a flash, and then silence. The sun began to break through the smoke as the almost comforting crackle of flames surrounded him, the added layer of the waves lapping at the nearby shore making the scene of devastation around him seem almost... soothing.

Izanami was uncertain what made her investigate the Bay that afternoon. Well, what was left of it. Weiss had been complaining that their Welcome Centre was technically in the wrong city now the Bay had moved, and what was left, was...this?
She apparently had no issue wading into the water to examine the stars a little closer, not the slightest bit concerned that her work trousers were getting drenched in the process. The Goddess didn't notice Mewtwo just yet, instead cupping one of the stars in her hand, causing it to shatter.
...What?
The foreign memory played out before her, as if she was living every moment of it. The scientists, the destruction and wrath that followed. What was that?
When her vision finally cleared, she didn't move right away, just staring at the water droplets on her hand where the star had once been.

As soon as his memory ended, he stretched his consciousness over the area, trying to see if anyone else had noticed something. Upon being alerted to Izanami's presence, he turned to face her. He set himself down in the water now that he realized he wasn't alone, though he had to mentally tug the cloak down under the water to hide his feet.
He shifted his device so that it was closer to where his voice should be coming from before addressing her.
"You. Did you see anything odd just now?"
no subject
"Yeah. Wanted to get a closer look at those stars. Didn't think they'd start making me hallucinate."
As far as she was concerned, she'd become fairly good at making her manner of speech match her human guise.

Mewtwo narrowed his eyes beneath the cloak, unsure of how to gauge this person. There was... something odd, yet he didn't attempt to read her mind or the like. He was too busy trying to make sure his own thoughts stayed in his head for the moment.
"What did you see?"
no subject
"Scientists, explosions," she said with a small shrug, intentionally keeping her comments vague. "Didn't make much sense, to be honest with you."

Mewtwo narrowed his eyes beneath the hood. The way he reacted to someone seeing similar didn't exactly... end well. Flaming fists to the face rarely count as a victory. This time, he'd be more... measured in his response.
"I suggest you keep that to yourself then, and try to forget about it in general. This place delights in tinkering with the minds of its inhabitants."

"Got no reason to tell anyone, anyway."

Mewtwo took a moment to reply, barely catching himself in making his statement a threat. No, he was attempting to be diplomatic, but diplomacy sucks, and is hard for a battle-deprived pokemon.
"Warning, not threat. This place delights in altering the mind, often injecting the memories of others. Considering the kinds of people that are gathered here, it would be wise not to alert the owner of those memories should they be too intimate to be shared."
