What is a tea?
Who: Remilia Scarlet, Luke Triton, maybe others?
When: 4/17, after dark
Where: Teanie Teas
What: A little vampire decides she is tired of being cooped up inside and decides to go out to see the city.
One would never know the vampire that called herself Remilia Scarlet was a part of this world. After her arrival and meeting with Dracula, she had kept entirely too herself. Her existence had been safe and secure, but entirely too boring for her tastes. She needed stimulation, excitement, or at least to leave the walls of Castlevania and see what else was out there. While she was not one for mingling with the 'commoners', it seemed that if she was ever going to have any presence in this world, it was an inevitability. If there was one thing that Remilia disliked more then boredom, it was obscurity. She had spent more then long enough to herself.
She also disliked how dependent she was on the other vampire. Without Dracula, she had nothing but her own power which, while considerable, did not mean as much when she lacked the respect she had back home. She would need to do something to display her greatness to those around her, some showing of her ability that would impress everyone. Despite not enjoying the thought of being among them, Remilia was the sort that demanded the respect of the people. She was not so stupid, however, as to believe that people would respect her just because she told them too. Not without a reason.
And that reason was not going to just present itself. She spent the day casually walking the streets, shading herself with her parasol. Powerful or not, she was still a vampire, and found the sun more then slightly distasteful. What she sees during her trip are cities much more modern then she is used to, with people unafraid to look at her. Wings fully on display, she makes no attempt to hide her inhuman heritage.
Finally she stumbles across a little shop owned by a little human. It advertised teas, something that elegant vampire was fond of. She walks into the little establishment, red eyes scanning over the interior, any other customers, and the tiny owner if she can can find him. Snapping her parasol shut, she chooses as secluded a place to sit as she can find. Hopefully she isn't made to wait too long, she isn't that patient a girl!

"Hello. Welcome to Teanie Teas! Can I get you anything, miss?"

The door to the teashop seemed to open on its own to allow Remilia entry. Likewise the maid appeared only briefly to pull the chair out and scoot it in behind the vampire. With a small bow she vanished once more. She would appear fully if Remilia chose to call her, but, for now, she would err on the side of caution.

"You are the owner? I had heard this place was run by a young human. I see the rumors were true. No matter, your age is irrelevant to me. If you are the owner, that means that you must know more then a little about brewing tea. It is that which you may do to serve me. I want a tea that is slightly sweet, but not overpoweringly so. I leave the exact details to your discretion. It should be a simple task for a human talented enough to own their own business at your age, wouldn't you agree?"
The girl's voice seems to be one of a person entirely sure of themselves, someone who held their opinion in high regard. There was a hint of arrogance, but also curiosity. She knew not all humans were without value. Her maid was proof enough of that.
so many type-os...ugh
If he hadn't met Sakuya in passing once, he'd be far more nervous. Instead, he just seems to consider her request.
"I have a few teas that fit that description...sugar smoke a bit more fruity and smoky while being sweet. The other that isn't too sweet is a bit spicy, but it's also very refreshing--dream spice Would you like to try one of those?"
Luke crosses his arms, thinking. He obviously does know his tea blends rather well. "There's also oasis berry, but it might be a little bit too sweet."

A faint smile touches her face, one that reveals her inhuman nature as much as her wings do. Obvious fangs are displayed as she shows her approval of the answer.
"You are either good at bluffing, or you know what you are talking about. I've been traveling the city all day, the thought of a refreshing drink sounds positively delightful. I shall have the dream spice."
She speaks to no one in particular, but Luke probably knows who it is she is referring to if he had met Sakuya in the past. "You could come out and relax as well. This place is not a place where I am in danger, and I have no other task for you at the moment. Enjoy a cup of tea with me and this adorable young man."

"Hello again, Luke. I have not seen you since New Year's. I hope you've been well." She straightened up, giving him a small smile and nod.
She was quiet for a moment, in truth, feeling a little awkward being served like this. "... I will also have the dream spice tea." It might have been somewhat improper for a maid to order the same thing as her mistress, but the siren's call of a spice tea was not one she could easily resist.

"Hi, Miss Sakuya. And a pot of dream spice. It needs to steep for a few minutes. I'll bring it as soon as it's ready!"
And off he goes. Behind the counter he's almost hidden, and he's gone for a few minutes. Shortly thereafter be returns, very carefully balancing a tray with two cups and saucers, as well as a tea pot. After setting everything down, he pauses. "Oh--I have cream if you'd like. I just keep it in the refrigerator so it doesn't spoil."
Oh god I am the most forgetful vampire.
The exchange between the two makes the vampire curious though, and she glances at her maid. "The two of you already know one another? You really are spending a lot of time out in this city, aren't you? Come, tell me how the two of you met."
The tea remains untouched, but not because of a lack of interest. With a shop owner and her own personal maid there, she can't really be expected to pour for herself!
My Sakuya muse is back! Yay!
"Indeed. Luke was at the New Years party. I taught him to make spell cards. He has quite the mind for it." She gave Luke a smile before settling back down in her seat. "As I understand it, the blind satori and the ghost in the tacky striped suit have a danmaku school."
Yaay
even though he would, frequently. It seems rude to do with these visitors. There's a pause as he tilts his head at the remark about the spell cards. "I haven't worked on them so much since, though. I'd rather work on making puzzles for the shop, especially since people sometimes can get hurt in danmaku. Right, Miss Sakuya?"
It's a throwback to the concerns he'd voiced when he'd first discussed the concept with the maid.
"Oh!" He reaches into the pocket of the apron he's wearing
no, not the girly kind, thank youand produces a small notebook. "Everyone gets a puzzle with their tea!" He's so excited. "You don't have to, if you don't want! But...I offer everyone a puzzle!"Look at that face. Look at how excited he is.
