With Haise's shadowing almost coming to and end, Satsuki has decided that she's going to keep the man under her employ- Which means it's time to introduce the ghoul to her first Deputy Guardian Maka Albarn. As evening draws near, the two have been called to her office but, unfortunately, introductions are cut short once the text and files are received and the power goes out.

Well.. This is rather bad. And things are certainly going to get worse before they get better- She's performed an evacuation procedure before with no trouble, but this..

There's the sound of clicking as Satsuki attempts to use her communication devices to contact her home group, but to no avail. (with the exception of Koishi, perhaps) Dammit. There's no time to sit around for everyone; she'll have to work with what she has. "Sasaki, Albarn, we have much to do and not much time before chaos erupts. Can either of you see in the dark or are capable of producing your own light source?"

Koishi was sitting lightly on the corner of Satsuki's desk as usual, watching Maka and Haise with mild boredom. She was quiet and very still, her outline so faint that even the guardian would have a hard time seeing her even though she knew the little youkai was there. Her third eye drifted lazily from side to side.

All of that changed when the power went out, Koishi jumping a little, blinking in surprise, her eyes brightening as her pupils dilated to make up for the lack of light. The bright light made her easier to see (when she was looking at someone) but other than that the dark only seemed to obfuscate her more.

At least until she spoke. "Miss White!" She focused quite a bit, becoming more solid. Hopefully she didn't startle Maka and Haise too badly. "Miss White I can see in the dark!" She drifted up and turned around, removing her hat and placing it down on the table. "And I can make light too!" Waving a hand, the room filled with scattered petal-shaped motes of light. Each one glowing a pastel blue, pink, or green and filled the air with the sweet scent of roses. It created a strange contrast of colors, but it was better than nothing.

"The sapphire on Bakuzan will glow too if you've been practicing your focus and magic. Otherwise that's going to be hard to sustain." A pause. "Also, what happened? I can't see any glowy lights outside the window."
